A Calif. Zephyr in Ft. Morgan on 28DEC2024 This channel will be abandoned on 31DEC2024!

This channel will be abandoned on 31DEC2024. The new channel is up and running at TH-cam channel Michael Jensen @Mikeinmorgan. The same videos are posted there. I will no longer add new videos at this channel for numerous reasons. Comment section has been turned off on this channel.
This California Zephyr #5 arrived in Fort Morgan at 0540 MST (6 min. early with On Schedule departure). The power from P42s #179 & #79 (in Phase VII livery) brought the 8-car consist to a stop with car 7 to the station platform for passenger service to 3 detraining passengers and then to 3 new fares boarding the coach. In the meantime, a visit from Mr. Darrell was enjoyed and he shared the station stop with all viewers as well as a coffee for the camera man. I did enjoy the coffee! Thank you, Darrell!
There was a lull in station until departure time was reached. One passenger had to have a cigarette although this wasn't a scheduled smoke stop. As luck would have it, my scanner decided to give up the battery life at this time, so I didn't hear the high ball. But with a lame horn the Zephyr rolled west toward its next stop at Denver's Union Station.
