I paid $15,000 right before the price came down to $12,000. I do not feel betrayed. I don't have to be concerned the future price and I am happy to know that the future updates are all mine . I am 62 now and no plan to buy a new car in my life any more. MYL 2023 with FSD was a retirement gift from my wife fully paid 😅. The car is so good and do get old.

Purchasing my Tesla just 2months earlier would have saved me 3k. But still best value per dollar compared to other carmakers.

Congratulations! So let’s not forget that what we’re experiencing/witnessing here is revolutionary, and very exciting, because it’s not just about a convenience item, or having the latest Gwiz technology to impress your friends, but it’s about saving lives and what’s more important than that?
So when Tesla gets the hard numbers to prove that not only are their cars safer should you be unfortunate enough to get in a crash, and notice I didn’t use the word accident, because an accident isn’t what generally occurs on the highways, streets, and roads of our cities, states and in nations all across the world, and so accidents are really a nice way of saying that it is neither the fault of either party. However, it is really negligence because someone effed up, and that’s what caused the crash to occur in just about 99.99% of cases involving a human driving a motor vehicle.
So you didn’t accidentally go to sleep, and woke up in a hospital bed, because you rolled your car off the side of the highway and into a ditch, and you didn’t just accidentally go to some watering hole with your golfing buddies, got loaded, and got in your car and ran it off a cliff, will you survive the fall, but you ended up in a wheelchair for the rest of your life.
So you didn’t accidentally get distracted when you saw a beautiful woman walking down the street or because you were so distracted that you accidentally rear end of the car in front of you, did you?
So an accident isn’t caused by you paying attention to the road, and you’re driving, an accident is what you call it when you got loaded, got distracted and drove your car off a cliff, and when you got distracted because a beautiful woman happened to be walking down the street and you rear ended the car in front of you.
So there are no accidents when stupid people do stupid things while operating a motor vehicle, and a whole lotta of crashes involving people who are not paying attention, and being distracted by things other than paying attention to the road, and of course keeping your eyes on driving.

Before MYL, I drove Rev 5 Toyota. To come back at around 10 PM from work, I had to put sweet candies in my mouth to ward off my sleepiness. I think I had a cavity on my tooth because of the candies. Luckily my dentist filled without losing my tooth My.
Now MYL FSD, paradoxically I don't feel sleepy any more, I think, my brain is just monitoring the car so it doesn't feel tired anymore while driving. Not sleepy but enjoying surroundings. It is worth every penny of my good and valuable $15,000.
No regrets pay $3,000 more but happy to make all updates in the future all mine.

V12.3.3 and 12.3.4 will do a series of roundabouts near me while V11.9 could not properly do them. Entered too fast, signalled at every turn, speed up while in the roundabout. I would only try them when zero other traffic. Two days ago V12.3.3 even did a 2 lane roundabout perfectly that I was always afraid to try with V11.9 previously. Just got V12.3.4 last night so only have 1 drive with it.

Whenever there is an equal value between 2 lanes, the easiest way to choose is just remain in the lane you are already in. I'm wondering though if the navigation looked further ahead would there be a better determining factor for lane choice. Maybe in circumstances where not too much traffic, so that no need to occupy the computer NN with over processing if it could not cope.

Loved the video and I really like that you keep commenting. About the wobbling lane changes: I saw it on the screen but I did not see the wheel moving as well - or did I miss something? About "not human like": well, humans are different, so this is not a good generalisation. Maybe "not like me" is more accurate :-)

You might want to set it on assertive, it might be setting a lower temperature (randomness) on the neural network which would minimize the lane swerving.

17:14 I know that you said you have auto max speed on but when you get on the highway it turns off because when you are on the highway the car is running a updated version of v11 and you can tell by the max speed switching from auto to a speed depending on your profile that you have selected we been waiting until the max speed says auto on the highway that's how we know that version 12 is running on the highway

12:48 you didn't dither using the word vacillates lol. I got FSD for $2900 in 2020 but I believe Tesla will offer to transfer for free in the future. Back in march they offered to transfer both my FSD and Free supercharging if I bought a new Tesla.

  • @egm7671

23:54 I think lane-weaving is a strategic move or message "selectively forced" by FSD on the vehicle(s) nearby that are straddling either lane (as opposed to FSD being more decisive in making a lane change when other vehicles are "safely distanced" for the maneuver). "Give me some space. I want to change lanes."

I don't see any improvement with V12.3.4 and that seems to be consistent with what others have reported. Biggest problems for me are lane selection, pot hole avoidance, hand gestures by police/road crews, support for school busses with flashing lights, school zones and emergency vehicles. Add that and V12 for highways and FSD is then pretty close to L3 which should be an important Tesla goal.

      @BigBen621 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

If it had always been free, it would never have been developed; and its potential to save tens of thousands of lives a year would never be realized. It was the 400,000 FSD Beta test group buying or subscribing to FSD Beta that paid for its development, which Tesla would not otherwise have been able to afford.
