    Love the new bike Randy! Been watching since the Softail Slim days--you're one of the reasons I just put a road warrior fairing on my 2016 Slim. Couldn't be happier with the look and comfort of it! Thinking my next bike will be a 2018+ Heritage or Road King Special once I wear out the Slim. Keep up the good work!

      Thank you for watching the videos over the last few years! I guess i have been the test pilot for Harley. I really enjoy modding the bikes and sharing what i have learned. That slim is a great bike

    You had a Street Bob riding long distance was rough. Now you have a heritage classic 114 👍. I've had my eye on the Street Bob and was planning a trip probably less then 600 miles. Recently been checking out the 22 Heritage Classic 114, what I like about that bike windscreen, ABS, cruise control, floorboards and forward controls, plus the bags. Not much is needed except for crashbars, seat and slip-ons for me. Thanks for your honest opinion on the Street Bob.

      @randytbird6548  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching. By the time i would have done everything to the street bob to make it travel ready. I would have spent too much 💰 it was fun but over 150 miles i would need a chiropractor. Stay safe!

      The ABS is great- but heads up it requires a visit to your HD dealer to do a computer reset on the module, so you can't do your own brake fluid change (internets opinons differ on this-) but worth the $ though!

    I just bought a 2023 Heritage Softail last Saturday. It’s a very nice machine with plenty of power. I pulled up to a gas pump and had difficulty finding neutral also. I thought it was just me. I also own a Vulcan S. There is absolutely no problem getting it into neutral. I checked with my dealer and he informed me that if I added V&H slipons it would affect my warranty. Ooops!

    • @randytbird6548
      @randytbird6548  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you do the first service they will adjust the clutch. It gets better with time. Check the web regarding the slip ons and warranty the doj recently ruled against harley for that practice. Enjoy the bike and thanks for watching

    I had trouble finding neutral too for the first 1,000 miles or so until it broke in some. Harley-Davidson needs to adopt the positive neutral finder that Kawasaki has. Those bikes always go into neutral when your stopped and pull up on the shift lever. Mine is a 2020 model and I love it. Enjoy that cool Arizona riding weather!

    I picked up my 22 Heritage Classic about 2 weeks ago and I too have a hard time finding neutral. I had to order a new windscreen from Freedom shields because I’m too tall for the stock windscreen. I experienced a lot of wind buffeting. I’m waiting for a set of Rinehart slip ons. I love this bike!

      @@randytbird6548 The worst thing is that it came back from it's 1k mile (seemingly mandatory) service $$$$$. Neutral still difficult. When I did the adjustment it was 1 1/2 turns loose when it should have been 1/2. They even test drove the bike????? This is why I always do my own wrenching.

    In regard to finding neutral and transmission clank…I always drain the 20w-50 motor oil they say to put in them and replace with synthetic GEAR OIL. 75w-90 and even 75w-140 I’ve used. It’s quieter and neutral easier to find. They are just a gear box and that’s what gear oil is for. I think they have you use the same oil as the engine to keep it simple and use same oil for everything….not because it’s actually best for it. I had a dealer test ride one for a trade in and they said man the trans is pretty quiet on this thing. I said yea bec I use real gear oil in it 😂
    They want you to buy a new bike after so many years. I want a bike to last MANY years. Gear oil at least will make trans last longer with less wear

    I have my road glide limited for seven months now after coming off of a heritage. Honestly, if the old lady did not like riding so much I would’ve sold this one off and got a new heritage. The issue is the weight. With both of us on it it’s over 1000 pounds. Everything you do on it at low speed, stopping slow speed maneuvers you are aware it is a big and very heavy bike
    I probably will just add a deluxe if I can find one or another heritage just fir day cruising

    For neutral, drop to 1st, push your foot under the lever peg until it’s on the highest part of your foot and gently click up. Works about 75% of the time and the best I’ve heard on the topic so far.

So the bags, you find them roomy? I have seen them when poked around with a Heritage I seen on the floor, just so use to my hard bags, extended with lots of room. New sub here.
