Those foxgloves look great Gemma. Give the asparagus some time and maybe try some strulch. I have found it keeps a few pests off. We always have a dumping ground area but I agree with raspberries as they will love it there.
Thank You Emma, they are absolutely stunning I'm loving them ❤ohhhh I might try that Thank You, I will let you know how it goes 😊 I really need to just get rid of so much at the plot but I'm always thinking that I might need it 😅 hee hee! Happy Sunday Emma 😊
All looking good Gemma 🎉 QofTheDay…..I had a VegTrug at home for salads before getting the allotment but was just sitting there, taking up space. Hubby took it down the allotment & put a removable top on it. It’s now a large potting bench with storage inside 😊
WOW everything is looking amazing. The foxgloves are huge. I finally got my raised bed garden planted last week and my flower planters on my deck. It’s gotten cold here again so I’m hoping everything survives. Keep up the great work❤
Gorgeous foxgloves Gemma! My son in law built me a coldframe out of some old wood pieces and a few window frames which had glass in.. It's been going for four years now. Really handy!
Nice to see you treating the beans much better than past years gemma 😂😂😂😂 it's all looking great! Coming along lovely! Loving the foxgloves! That compost heap was a job and a half! Welldone. Danny 🌱
You’ve been so busy in this episode. Those foxgloves especially are just such a stunning display. Impressive. The weeds certainly seem to be growing more than some of my crops at the moment 😂 Hope the asparagus picks up. Can’t wait to see the jungle in your polytunnel. You’re not going to be able to get in the doors when your tomatoes are taller 😂 I’m also growing crystal lemon this year. Very excited by that. Thanks for a lovely video update. 😊
Hi Claire 👋 the foxgloves really are the star of the show they look amazing 👏 well if I was growing weeds on purpose I would be winning awards 😅🤣 hee hee there are so many tomatoes 🍅 but most of them are small ones like Tiny Tim so hopefuly they won't take over 😊 well I went down yesterday morning and the crystal lemon was half eaten 😥 the stem is half there 😖 so will see if it makes it 😊 hope you're having a fab week 😊
Love the music on this episode. Very soothing quality. Plot is really coming along well. Question of the day: concrete ladder mesh repurposed into melon hoop trellises. Hose guides into over the earth greenhouse tie down.
Wow flowers are gorgeous. It’s been raining and cold here for days so I haven’t got much done outside. But I am getting little jobs done. Have an amazing week and happy gardening 🧑🌾, Ali 🌧️🌧️🇨🇦
Thanks Ali they are so stunning, will be hard to recreate them next year! We haven't had great weather the last month but had 23 degrees today so that was nice! Hope you've had a fab weekend 😀
I took the steel canopy off of my childhood bed and I now use it as a mini- shade tunnel for my asparagus. We have really hot summers and this works perfectly and it also makes it look very cottagey. Love your raspberry idea!
Hi Gem ❤ Love your foxgloves, fab update. You were really busy on this video. Loving the music 🎶 really nice. Thinking of doing away with our compost bins for a while too as the rats live there and I've been feeding them with scrap vedge and fruit too 🙈😂. Hope your nematodes work well for you, those slugs and snails are right pests aren't they. Have a fabulous week ❤️
Every year you and Vince work on the plot, It looks better, and this year your plot is looking the best I've ever seen it, this summer your plot is going be amazing, well done to the both of you I hope your kids will be helping out on the plot this year :D
I’ve taken on my first allotment plot and can’t wait until it looks like your plot, which looks great. I’m currently tackling a mass of grass, weeds and rubbish.
Hi Duncan! Congratulations on getting your first plot 👏 oh yes I remember when I took mine on and it was the same, it's a great time to take on a plot as the weather is nice enough to be out working, keep me updated on your progress! 😀
I grew strawberries in a toilet that I replaced. Grew them in the tank and in the bowl. They were prolific and they were the sweetest strawberries! I would like to think that I had something to do with that!
Oh boy that was some work for me doing that job I repurpose a big plant container that I had compost in also so now that is going to be a planter again, your garden is looking great also see you soon ❤
