I’m always amazed at just how much you mange to get done in a short period of time. I love the pots you used for your peppers and can’t wait to see the new growth on them. Like you, I like to try different types of teas, however I can’t say I’m quite as adventurous as you in making my own from the garden. Something to try. I was thinking about you Nan’s table and chairs set and thought maybe it would give your garden an additional pop of colour if you painted them all different colours like maybe the table yellow and the chairs bright blue and green or a combination of them all with the table top and chair seats one colour and all the legs different colours, anyhow just a thought. Our winter here in Nova Scotia has truly arrived so no more outdoor gardening for a while. At the moment just sticking to my orchids hoping to get them to bloom soon and of course my Christmas Amaryllis plants which are really starting to take off so I might just have blooms in time for Christmas Day. Keep warm and keep well❤
Hi Wanda, I love that idea of having different colours on tha table and chairs, it would be lovely to have something bright especially on grey days like today.i have never grown amaryllis, I think imbgoing to see if I can pick some up this weekend, have a great one 🥰
Luckily it blew that way and not into anything else. 😂😂 at least the lid stayed on. Plants looking healthy Gem 💪. Stay warm and have a super weekend, Ali 🎄🥶🇨🇦
Ali that was so lucky wasn't it! Imagine it went the other way and into the poly 😮 hee hee can you beleive the lid stayed on 😂 have a fab weekend Ali x
South Wales was pretty windy only casualty was the potted Xmas tree , 2/3 days before wind died down put the tree back up,redecorated looks better than it did before . I remember rose hip syrup as a kid ,really tasty lots of vitamins especially high in vit C ,you needed that a few weeks back when you were unwell .Great video again 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄😘 Table antique bronze, wrapped my “babies “ up and stored in garage
I definitely needed some vitamin C a few weeks ago, it's good your potted tree survived and looks better now 🎄 ooohh bronze sounds good, I hadn't thought of that, have a fabulous weekend 😀
Hi Gemma, lovely tour of tge pots in the garden centre & photos of Covent Garden too. Really good tips on repotting your chilli plants and lovely the shells decor, too. It's great to see how you process your rose hip seeds and rose petals too. I love the teapot too. Where have you bought that from? My hubby loves putting all sorts in his tea, too. Ooh, I am spraying mine in black, I have a table & chairs on my plot, given to me by a friend, 6 chairs and a table with glass top. Started spraying last year, so I hopefully finish them off this winter on dry days 😊 another great video update. Thanks for sharing and take care 😊
Hi Christine, Covent Garden always does Christmas so well, although the weather when we were there wasn't great, so windy! The teapot is the brand 'Forlife' I'm not sure where it's from as it was a gift 😊 I will do my table and chairs over the winter too when/if it's dry. Take care and have a great weekend x
28 degrees Celsius and really hot in New Zealand, and it is keeping up with watering the garden that is the main job. The summer berries are really growing very fast.
Wow you have the complete opposite of us weather wise, it's always a challenge keeping up with water in hot weather isn't it. Yum summer berries are my favourite 🍒 Hope you have a fabulous weekend 😀
Hi Gem, I’m in Christchurch, New Zealand! Currently experiencing high heat! 30+ degrees today… which definitely isn’t typical for this time of year, but I’m not complaining!
I'm in Falkirk, Scotland. Pretty cold with frost the last couple of mornings. Trees white with the frost and it looks like a Christmas card. Rain today though
We haven't had that sort of frost yet, I have to say I love frosty/snowy mornings, although we haven't had snow in London for a long time ❄️ have a great weekend ☺️
Great update Gemma! Not been to that garden centre before. Kind of hidden away there. We used to live in Putney but my Father in Law lives in Battersea. It's changed quite a bit nowadays. Interesting how the tea is made. Have you made rose-hip ketchup before? I've not made it but it is mean to be nice. Was going to make it last year but they went off in the fridge and totally forgot to do it this year as i was removing the post bloom pods to promote more flowering. I really want to get a semi climbing rose for the front. We have removed the old prickly berry bush hedge that not even the rats would eat, let alone birds. Might see if there is a super cheap one as we spend a lot on Christmas presents, the pressure canner and the light already. Glad to see you didn't have much damage. Think we finally got rid of the rats and then a fox has come to dig up that chinese cabbage now! Need to plant the garlic still that in the fridge but we were ill and then our kitchen light went! It's all been going on this week as i didn't know my Dad was having some skin cancer removed from his ear and then after he got home and went for a rest it started bleeding so all go. Couldn't see him at the time as we were all sick with a virus. We had our child's choir concert yesterday so thankfully we were better then for that. I was the last to catch it. Supposed to be sunny tomorrow so hopefully a chance to plant the garlic and see if we have any potatoes in the last 3 containers. They didn't grow as well as the others so not holding my breath. Hope you have a great weekend and take care!
Re the table and chair you could do it red or black as it will fade over time. Depends what your favourite colour is. Would probably need to be a bolder colour and dark.
I went to Battersea Power Station yesterday, wow they've really done some work there! I love Battersea. I hope your Dad is OK ❤️ Very grey here again, hopefully the sun comes out. X
I'm glad the storm didn't do much damage on your plot, and luckily it didn't come our way. I don't know what other colours you have in the garden, but I'd go for something bright like red or yellow on the café set, or some pastel if that suits better to have some colour all year round.
Glad the plot has survived the storms. Manchester here and we’ve had high winds and so much rain - but like you everything survived at the plot. Those chilli plants, is that the biggest they grow? I’m sure they’ll be looking good in no time. The rose hip tea will be lovely. Have a great weekend 👍
The chilli plants are 'Basket of Fire' I think they can get to around 12 inches, they should be quite bushy but as you can see I've neglected mine! Have a great weekend 😀
Hi Gemma 👋 Nice pots at the garden centre. Great tips on overwintering chillies and drying and processing rose hips. I'm pleased your plot was ok after storm Darrah. Have a great weekend ❤️ x
We’re near Oxford and we did have some high winds but thankfully no damage! The Polytunnel has stayed intact and the only issue was one of the nets blew off my cabbages. Your plot is coming along nicely. ❤️
The garden is coming together nicely Gemma. Re the path I find that sometimes you have to take things away before you realise you probably do need them, if you know what I mean. I would paint the table and chairs a shiny black as it would look nice against the gravel, depending on what colour you’ve gone for. I just hope the cats don’t use it as a toilet like they have in my daughters garden.
Thank You for watching 😊
Toujours un plaisir à regarder bravo 😊
À bientôt
merci d'avoir regardé, j'espère que vous passez une bonne période avant Noël 🎄
