Nick should revisit this idea, but this time with all the incarnations of the turtles. Not only animation but also comics video games and live action depictions of them.
Turtles Forever holds a special place in my heart as a fan of both of the 1987 and 2003 TMNT and it was a perfect wat to end the latter. Very nice video Shade!
Great video, Shade. Turtles Forever, despite its shortcomings, is a great love-letter to the franchise as a whole. From a production standpoint, it's kind of a miracle this wound up happening. Having watched more of the franchise while growing up, the movie still holds up. They did an excellent job in having the 80s and Mirage versions look as accurate as possible.
Excellent job making the 80s Turtles look as accurate as possible?? You serious!!! They totally butchered them making them all act like they couldn't hold thier own when they could if it got down to it. Trains-Dimensional Turtles in the 2012' series done it WAAAAYYYYY better.
@@haileyshannon7548 IMO that makes it worse seeing it was supposed to be something honoring multiple gens of Turtles - that Laird couldn't keep his ego out of it. Nothing wrong with him not liking it, but letting that interfere with something that had specific expectations set is wrong IMO.
The concept is cool but the balance of playfully ‘mocking’ the faults of both shows isn’t there but from my understanding one of the co creators hates the 80’s turtles with a burning passion 😅
Best way to end the movie is showing the mirage turtles and what better way to end tmnt 2003 the one that was faithful to the source material of the mirage comics is showing the mirage comics pu
I wouldnt call Turtles Forever almost perfect or perfect at all since its only in favor of making the 2003 series & characters cool & serious & portray the 1987 series as stupid & lame. Sure the 1987 could be silly but not THAT silly. And the 1987 Turtles wasnt stupid & this movie portray the 2003 as Nagging Karens & Douchebags towards the 1987 series & characters, ESPECIALLY Ralph. And it dont get better when 2003 Mikey becomes nagging & grouchy & hypocritical either. And in fact, the 2003 series had some cheesy stuff too, like saying "What the Shell?" almost all the time instead of saying something else now & then. So this movie arent really a way to celebrate 25 years of the TMNT franchise, its MORE like a propaganda film to manipulate the viewer to think that 1987 series & characters is crap & only the 2003 series & characters is cool, when actually its more like the opposite. So this movie aged badly & dont deserve the high rankings when ranking TMNT movies & so on. Its 1 of the worst TMNT movies together with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 & Michael Bays TMNT movies.
2:00 this is what the ninja turtles fanbase does to a mf
Would not mind seeing 84,87,03,12 and 18 together.
Into the Turtle-verse
Teenage mutant ninja turtles 2003 animated series was really awesome and tons of fun.

By far the best animated TMNT movie, despite its flaws.
No it wasn’t. The movie sucked
Better than Batman meets the Tmnt?

@@firestriker3580 you suck
King of Green another great video brother I love this movie
We need a crossover between ither 2012 and the Rise of the TMNT turtles or Rise of the TMNT and Mutant mayhem turtles
Great review, loved that outro!
EDIT: thanks for the heart!
I really liked this video and the editing
Also, I didn't like to be remembered of the Saban's TMNT show... ugh...
The Turtles Forever TV film was a satisfying way to bring TMNT (2003) to a close.

It would have been great of we saw the Rise turtles get a crossover with the other turtles, but great retrospective anyway.
ShadeX: You wanna review the movie or…?
Him: *I’m gonna go hang myself.* 💀
Yes
The problem with Turtles Forever is they dumbed down the 80s turtles too much and made the 2003 Turtles seem like they were perfect
I mean the 2003 series were closest to the comic counterparts so course they be the main focus.
TMNT was a stable of my childhood watching this movie when it came out gave me closure and i haven't watched another TMNT movie or show since.

It could have been better if they didn’t dumbed down the 87 turtles so much.
Top 5 Turtles Movies:
1. 1990s Movie
2. Batman vs Tmnt
3. Turtles Forever
4. TMNT
5. TMNT: Out of the Shadows
