I think this is the only one of the premium P-47s that can equip both bombs and rockets if you're looking for a premium Jug that can do a bit of ground-pounding too. I have a soft spot for the razorbacks, and WT's 3rd person view outside of Sim means they don't really seem to be hamstrung by poor rearwards visibility
I do personally like the d28 and d30 more but this one definitely can be strong if you use it right. I haven't done much ground rb recently since I've been making air videos but I wonder if people would be interested in watching cas or air support
@@CatWerfer I'm sure you would do a good job of highlighting the nuances of flying in mixed battles, I am learning a lot about positioning, decision making, calculated risks from watching your videos
Respectfully, I think the J26 had a right to be upset about the kill steal, he had trapped the zero and most players feel like they earn the kill at that point, just gotta be careful when 3rd partying a dogfight that they kinda need the help otherwise some players get angry
Yeah I was bringing it up in the video not to try and acquit myself but because I wasn't quite sure. On the one hand, they did "work" for that kill so they do "deserve" it more, but at the same time, the same thing happens to me so often that I feel like that at the very least is just generally tolerated (happens in at least every other video or so) as I'm sure you're aware. Perhaps i could've been more courteous and let them have it.
Great vid bro. As a brazilian myself, i have a soft spot for the Thunderbolts, since they were our main fighter used during WW2. When grinding out my US tree, since i mostly just listened to "The Flying Dutchman" i skipped all of the other 47s and have only used the D-28 since it's the only one he said was worth using. And i've definetly had a blast with it, one of my most played aircraft in the game. But i've never considered using this one, would you say it's worth playing over the D-28? Is it competitive enough at 3.7? Also, really funny intro, there sure are a lot of 47s and 51s in this game lol
Its pretty fun if you get in the right situations. Its not as strong as the d28 since its climb isn't that good, but once you have speed, you can do a lot with it. Its worth trying if you like the other p47s, but you might have to play it more conservatively. Do you think they'll add a Latin America tree? I don't know enough about their militaries to know what they could get but it looks like a lot of those countries used p47s
@@CatWerfer LATAM tech tree would be a wet dream for me The youtuber MatAWG, which funnily enough is brazilian aswell, has posted a video a few days ago about his take on what it would be like: th-cam.com/video/BqaD7UaEZxI/w-d-xo.html Judging by his video, i think it would be one of the best trees in game, it would be kinda like the chinese one but instead of it being divided into China and Taiwan it would be mostly between us being more sided with NATO and Venezuela and Cuba which are mostly controlled by Russia
P-47's just seem better than P-51Ds but the C's always have a trick up their bag. What I notice when I fly the P-47 is that people usually underestimate it. Especially the D-28 as that huge amount of horsepower allows it to rate around like a psycho, especially at higher alts, and honestly, the P-47 has a noticeable better feel at higher alts. The large wings allow it to slew itself around with the large amounts of horsepower. P-51D while it may be able to go fast, it's wings are way too stubby and this makes it where all it can do is force headons while with the P-47D I feel as if I have options as the enemy is now basically in "my domain." Bf-109s usually are the #1 suspects who are surprised as my plane just whips around or constantly flies out of their nose and they can't get a solution.
The p51s aren't the worst dogfighters and I do like them a lot, right now the .50cals kinda suck so having 8 of them is really nice. And yeah the p47s are very underrated in a dogfight. Personal favorite so far is the Italian d30 just for its airbrake
@@CatWerfer The D-30's aren't just flying bricks, I think that's the problem people think with american planes. They're all heavy and can't turn. But the D-30 is the one aircraft I feel I have no chance in against certain other aircraft. The Spitfire basically dictates the whole fight with the D-30 while with a P-47D-28 I feel as if I can take advantage and pull a fast one with some careful planning. Not so with the D-30, I'm sure there're people who can show otherwise, but the D-30 just seems like "Welp, guess I'll just run away for 6 minutes then hope I can kill him in a headon"
the d28 and d30 are basically the same plane at the same br. the italian one gets an airbrake is the only difference. are you sure you arent mistaking it for something else?
5 stars for the intro! 😂
German P-51, when?
probably gonna be a low effort battlepass vehicle next year lol
