Thanks for the video. I'm in the process of doing the same conversion and am just waiting for ebay parts to arrive. I did notice the 20-21 has a different evap system that looks like it gets in the way. I've been studying your video almost frame by frame to see how you got it to fit. Looks like you relocated the solenoid and removed the evap can from time stamp 4:50-4:51. Can you share more details on this? Thx.
Man this is such a quality video. I an looking to do something similar. I have a 2022 svartpilen and I will be purchasing an exhaust from a 2019 svartpilen. Please tell me if you left the old oxygen sensor on the bike or did you have to get a separate one for the duke 390?
Man thanks a lot for the swift reply. I am not interested In purchasing that exhaust. I've been researching about this project for so long. There are still some uncertainties, but slowly the puzzle is being pieced together. Thanks man.
Hi There, very nice video! I am considering another funny point, and that it is the fuelt tank. Do you think it would be possible to fit duke 390 tank to svartpilen? Those extra 3 liters would be great to have...
That could be very cool! If I had to guess it would be an all or nothing swap, basically you’d have to take the Vit down to the frame and use Duke plastics. Try it! Report back!!
Negative. It's all or nothing between the two variations. 2018-19 is one header, cat, muffler and silencer system and 2020+ is an entire other system. Nothing other than mounting points is shared.
@@RuckusGarage ultimately, if we want to be legally BS6 complaint; then we genuinely fucked untill and unless we come up with a custom built chamber to cat connecting pipe 😁
I have a 2019 and been looking for something like this cause it’s so stupid that they would go through all the trouble of making it the more “off road” capable version but have the exhaust route underneath.
Thank you for that video ! Did it change the behaviour of the bike in any way ? Maybe a bit more like the previous model ? Any impact on the quishifter? Also do you think a remap would be required ? Cheers!
That’s hard to say. I did the pipe after a long winter so the previous behavior wasn’t fresh in my mind. I don’t think it really makes a huge difference as far as power or weight bias but I could be wrong. So far it runs perfect, shouldn’t have affected the tune that much. Shifting is the same awesome as ever!!
sick video man! is the pre muffler oulet location the same for hr the 18/19 and the 20+ model? worried the pipe from pre muffler and exhaust wont be the same for the 2 models
It is not. You have to use 100% of the 17-19 exhaust or 100% of the 2020+ exhaust. Nothing is interchangeable across the two versions with the exception of the mounting points and the oxygen sensor.
Wow! Subscribed! Been waiting for this vid for months now. Im a new rider, got a svartpilen 200, 2020 model here in the Philippines. You think this’ll work with my bike? I can see we have the same exhaust design. It also goes under..
Great video, thanks! Can you comment on the reliability? Considering you’ve now have experience across both the older model and the 2020 model. Thx I’ve heard of ABS electrical issues and engine cutting out.
Without going into great detail I will say that the quality of the 2020 is noticeably lacking compared to my 2018. Not just the fit and finish, even the hardware seems cheaper.

@@elijahcespedes444 This is my personal take on it, both my 2018 and my 2020 had aftermarket exhaust for thousands of miles with no issues. The oxygen sensor is located in the header pipe so changing anything downstream has little to no effect on what that sensor is seeing.
