Brilliant - so useful for me as a newbie. Picking up my first motorhome in a couple of weeks and must admit the most nervous bit for me is going to be going onto a campsite for the very first time - this has answered a lot of questions I didn't even know I needed to ask!
I have never gone camping in a motorhome before and I'm thinking of doing one in two months. And here I happen to be watching your New To Motorhomes series. Your videos have really helped me a lot. Awesome videos. Thank you so much.
Bob, these tutorial videos are invaluable. I've never owned a motorhome or caravan but I'm seriously considering buying a motorhome. These do's and don'ts are a massive help. Thanks.
Bob gave me the confidence to hire a motorhome. His tips were brilliant as it can be a wee bit intimidating if your not used to it. There is definitely an art to using a site, etiquette etc.
Muchly appreciated videos I pick my first ever motorhome up next Thursday evening and we going away Friday morning for the weekend I have purchased a fair bit already probably overdone it We will certainly learn along our journey, first trip played it safe fully serviced pitch You describe your content in detail and well structured that I thank you for
Great video Bob. These films are invaluable to someone who is new to motor homing. When I got my first van a couple of years ago , I had no clue about anything! Then I discovered Bob! I confidently drove to my first Caravan and Motorhome site and pitched up with ease! These video's should be compulsory viewing with new van sales for those who require them. Brilliant and keep them coming Bob!
I wish I had been able to view such a useful introduction on 'how to do' when using your motorhome/campervan for the first few times - this should be on every newbies must watch list. Thanks Bob
Very good information for some one new to motorhome . We have been caravanning for about 30 year . Just started with a motorhome so very helpful has we have got the same motorhome has you . Thanks for the help Bob .
Although I’ve caravanned for decades, your videos are really useful as my wife and I add a motorhome to our stable in two weeks time. Your advice and tips are brilliant as I find I’m still feeling like a complete novice. Thank you and keep them coming... please!
Bob, you are an absolute star. considerably older we have camping history going back 60 years and like you and Jennie we are now MH ers. During lockdown we have spent many hours watching and re- watching your vlogs. SO the latest re run has been the Fiamma Privacy room ,from one who is generally very even tempered ,except where hosepipes and awnings are concerned , I congratulate you on your stoicism and amazing good humour when erecting this instrument of torture. If we ever cross on our travels I would be delighted to buy both you and Jennie a large beer. happy Vanning Steve and Pauline
Huge help bob and Jenny....bought my motor home recently and have avoided booking a campsite obviously not able to either for the last 3 months but also because I didn’t want to look stupid not knowing how it all works.....thank you so much. To a new owner these are invaluable. Xx
We finally have a cast iron collection date for our first motorhome next month,so these guides are invaluable, already purchased a taylor made and colapz waste pipes on the back of watching you and Jenny. Thanks both of you
Hi Bob, my wife and I have decided to buy a motorhome and aim to purchase one in the spring of 2021. I'm currently doing as much research into the pro's and con's of owning one and also picking up as much knowledge as we can in readiness for the big moment when we spend a shed load of money to get one. I have watched many of your (and Jenny's) video's and I have found them extremely informative. Every one I have watched has taught me something I didn't know before. I just simply want to say 'thank you both' for taking the time and making the effort to teach 'newbies' like my wife and I such a lot and give us the confidence and inspiration to forge ahead with our plan to own a motorhome. You now have an additional subscriber.
Revisiting these new to Motorhome videos now, having finally taken the plunge and bought one! I've been absorbing all these over the last couple of years so hopefully I should be ok with the basics thanks to these excellent videos. I am now watching through to see how long water hose I need, I'm sure its within this goldmine of useful videos somewhere. These things you don't really think of at first!
Thanks Bob, I shall take a look. My fear is looking silly at a service point attempting to get the hose to the tank and being 5 inches short! The one I bought doesn’t have anything with it so need to kit out with ramps, electricity cable etc. so it’s ready to go. The essential accessories one will be really handy to look back on, thanks.
Brilliant! Great advice. Love all your tips. Really useful because it can be a bit bewildering when you are new to it all and also a wee bit intimidating when you go to a site when your a novice. The moving off list is inspired.
Another great vlog bob.very informative.if i could add one thing, when you have emptied your toilet is to put some water in when adding your chemicals.not too long until we can get out.im off to moffat on the 15th for a couple of nights.then bunree then new england bay.cant wait.all the best
Thank you Bob & Jenny for these great videos, Jan and I will be collecting our first motorhome on the 25th of this month. We have been looking for a number of months and your videos have been so helpful. Though our motorhome is 8 years old I'm sure it will give us many happy years in her. After looking at many different layouts we found that what worked best for us was the autosleeper burford duo. At least after watching all your videos I have some idea of visiting a site though I will probably still make myself look silly and a total novice. Thank you again and we always look forward to watching your new videos
I am new to Motorhoming Bob, we bought our first one (Hobby Optima T70f) in December 2020 and haven't had a chance to use it yet, your videos have proved to be a fantastic help and I am so glad that I found your pages. Thank you for showing and explaining things so calmly and patiently, you are helping to get me through lockdown.
Bob video really helpful were not getting are motor home till nx year but video was great at things need to get things to do many thanks safe travels 👍
This is just brilliant! We pick up our new motorhome on Tuesday and my wife and I have learnt so much watching your videos especially this one. Thank you very much. We also have a Westie called Bonnie so should be fun to take her too!
Thank you Bob for this series, we have just purchased our first MH which we collect next week and found your information most useful and I have to say excellent clear presentation.
Thanks for this series Bob. Went to start our van for the first time since lockdown and couldn’t due to a flat starter battery. Fortunately I watched the first in the series so I knew exactly where the battery was on Fiat based vans. Without the vid I’d still be looking!
Great video Bob. About to go on our first Motorhome trip in two weeks. All the things I was stressing about explained really well in less than 20 mins. Many thanks.
Thanks Bob. This has been a great series so far, and so useful for us newbies. Its just the sort of thing I spent hours hunting for in the lead up to when we first hired for a two week tour around Scotland, where we stayed everywhere ranging from a quite wild camp in a forest to a serviced pitch at Englethwaite Hall. Simple, sensible and useful advice was really hard to find and this series ticks every box. Thanks very much!
We are about to embark on our Motorhome journey, with the help of your experience and knowledge we have equipped ourself with all the necessary must haves. Thank you for your guidance, and looking forward to July 4
I know you've had a few comments like this but just to say a big thank you for your tips and advice. This series is very helpful for the uninitiated. Both easy to watch and informative 👍
Very informative, Bob - I had a motorhome for 5 years ( I'd like to get another one soon!) and even I picked up several pointers from your video. For newbies, I'm sure it would be a great help. Well done.
Another excellent video Bob👍 Very useful for anyone that hasn't been on cmc or c&cc site before (like me.) I joined both in January so haven't had a chance to yet.
Nice one bob good info for new beginner's will help them a lot as it would have been harder if there wasn't people like yourself on TH-cam to help out .kev

Thanks Bob once again very informative I haven’t got my motor home yet not getting it until the terrible pandemic has gone hopefully the end of the year 😀
Emptying the bog box is the low point of my stay, but I do wish Thetford would make that extending handle just a little bit longer as at 5'10" I still have to stoop a little when doing the walk of shame.
started getting stressy with my cheese sandwich when you started to empty the cassette. Phew, a demo only, was preparing to press the forward button for a second.
Wish we had a video like this when we first started caravanning. We now have the Motorhome and as you know have yet to venture out for the first time. It's really good to have a refresher course and you have explained everything so clearly to any newbies out there so well too. I suppose my only anxiety is to where to park the Motorhome when visiting places of interest. Do you plan ahead or just go and take a chance on the parking? It would be very interesting to hear your views.....maybe Jenny has a spreadsheet on this and if not why not cos I'd love to see it lol - Lin xx
Hi Bob You should get your self a good kneeling pad, for all those rough surfaces you have to kneel down on, or you will end up with knees like mine, and you wouldn't want that believe you me Cheers Bill
Thanks for another great video to add to the brilliant collection Bob, question 1 we haven't got a satellite dish is it still possible to take our sky box and watch via a cable? Question 2 how much grey waste pipe would you recommend? Thanks again 🏴👍
Yes, if the site has a Satellite Dish feed like we had at Somers Wood. Feed the cable supply into your sky box and connect a TV up. Colapz do a kit of 4 or 8. I bought 4 and two extra, but it probably makes more sense to get 8.
