  • This week we're talking about proper campsite etiquette. What is the first thing you should do when you arrive at a campsite? How do you pick a spot? How on earth do you avoid annoying every other camper in the field whilst also enjoying your own getaway?
Not only have we received questions from first-time campers, caravanners and motorhomers, but also requests from campsites to unpack this topic!
So, Matt is here to give his top tips on how to get along, and possibly even make friends with your holiday neighbours. From pitching up, to cooking, to looking after pets, Matt covers everything you need to know.

Stumbled across this podcast while looking for videos on driving in France/Europe and found your advice video on it Matt. Super informative and by far the best video I found so knowledgeable. In defence of the couple who didn’t like people coming over to them, we are the same. The two of us like being just us, in our own little bubble, when we go away! We have to socialise enough during every day life and we value our own time - someone else rocking up would feel like someone plonking themselves down at our table on a date night! Aaaand. We are vegetarian so the idea of a steak being put under my nose 🤢

We would love to go to the show in October, but we live in our van and travel with our two dogs. Unfortunately they are not allowed at the NEC so it rules it out for us. I wonder whether others are in the same boat?

Yes unfortunately no dogs, which is certainly a shame for people in your position. On the other hand, with how busy it can be in the aisles I can see it being an issue for the dogs getting hurt or stressed and people possibly tripping 😔
