as a rot box owner, we have the Fq, and GSR, the gsr comes with the stronger 5speed gearbox, but only comes with 260hp. but with a lil tune can go up to 320
Thanks a lot man, I have another video that's kinda the same it's talking about the 911 if you're interested. I don't know any info about the Honda Prelude, I might take a look at it. Though this is mostly composed of cars that I like and am interested in. Thanks for the support tho : D
As an E2 GSR owner… I wish it had manual windows like the RS did (I don’t wanna take my doors apart to fix the broken one). Otherwise, no complaints. Dailied it for the better part of this year, and I love every second of ownership. Such a wonderful car to drive.
That's very nice. Keep enjoying that wonderful machine while brands like Mitsubishi are slowing fading away and other brands that attempt at making sporty cars are also failing to do.
I'd have loved to see a final edition with a DCT. That DCT in the X really is something else, it's one of very few cars I think is better experienced in DCT than manual.
@@RedzToxic Might be a large Nostalgia factor speaking because this was the first car I saw a DCT in ever, but the manual 5spd in the later evos always felt dated to me. Car is revving high all the time, the powerband isn't quite right, and I'm otherwise sitting in this technical marvel of a sedan and still rowing the gears myself. The DCT feels like an actual evolution, a big step forward in terms of speed, technicality and reliability than the old 6spd manual. I also enjoy the click clack of the paddles.
I think they all carry it throughout their lifespans, but I think it's because it was such a new thing that there wasn't really anything to compare it. And so you have this raw and untainted power to explore with this car.
7:51 Yes! It's bad enough they used the Eclipse for an SUV (though the later generations strayed from the original formula) but sadly that's what sells these days.
The only thing I hated about the EVO is how overwhelmingly mitsubishi decided to produce them, a new Gen every 2 years? C'mon mitsu That's a damn car and not a mobile phone,
I can't believe Mitsubishi had one the most iconic line up cars: Eclipse, Galants, Evo's and the Rallyart cars but through it all to waste in favour of green bullshit. While i can't speak for the actual Japanese Domestic Market, i wonder if the Japanese people that grew up seeing Mitsubishis fly down dirt tracks draped in Marlboro feel like the company has not only dropped the ball: they threw it off a cliff. If Mitsubishi belongs to the merger of Renault-Mitsubishi-Nissan and has worked with Mercedes in the past, what if a Evo 11 could be based off the A-Class or Renault Rally Car Homoligation underpinnings and drive train? Newest Altimas/Sentras being tuned by Rallyart to replace the Galants? Maybe produce a drivers-car based on the newest Nissan Z, remove the turbos and make it super lightweight and call that the New Eclipse but still make it tuneable?
You know, as much as I agree with you. It's modern Mitsubishi. They're gonna do shit about it nor care. Even their most prominent car like the Evo, which sold in large and great quantities especially 8 - 10 models. They didn't know what to do with the money, they didn't know how to reinvested it. They thought they could do whatever they'd would like. Which led to the downfall. I do know of the unfortunate merger of the Renault-Mitsubishi-Nissan, being with them is only gonna make things worse. Because, Mitsubishi is the backbone of both the brands. Lot of Nissan's and Renaults cars outside of American market rely on Mitsu (ie rebadging). Further more if they were to use the new Z's platform, it would be a coupe so wouldn't make much sense, and EVEN then it's not a good idea because Nissan's QA has gone done so much it's not even funny. They're slowly pulling out some cars from their markets because they're just failing. And Renault? Well they're French lmao. A Mercedes would be cool, however A class never has been an impressive car nor do they care for it. It's just a cheap low tier model to get into their brand. And the whole idea falls through again because they're not partnered with them again. The reality is, if we wanted to have the pure and real Evo 11. It would need to be done souly, by Mitsubishi.

JDM Evo 9 does come with aluminium roof, fender and also hood. JDM spec has a MR RS edition as well which is exclusive to Japan domestic market.
Thank you very much for the clarification. :D

That's interesting, first time hearing someone prefer a DCT to a manual. Was it in terms of performance or fun that you liked it better?

My favorite is the Evo 2 RS. There's something raw and powerful about the first three Evos that the later ones are missing.

Idk if I should take that as a complement or not lmao.

Its because of the heavy competition in the WRC, The Subarus also had new gens every 1-2 years, e.g. WRX, then WRX STI Ver 1,2,3,4,5,6.
