    Not to take away from this video but Evo 8s and 9s have a wide front brake caliper complicating wheel setups. For example, the RPF1 in a +35 offset requires a 20mm front spacer effectively turning it into a +15mm offset. While the RPF1 9.5" width +18 offset requires no spacers but will poke out past the front fenders if camber isn't applied. I run the NTO3 +M in an 18x9.5" +27 offset with 10mm front spacers. Combined with a 265 Continental the whole setup poked out more than I was comfortable with. Ended up setting the camber at -2 in the front pulled the front fenders and rolled the rears flat.

      exactly this they don't really take everything into account not to mention on some of the setups they have said the re location of rear bumper bolt comes into play as well depending how low etc you are. There are more factors than just wheels and tyre size to fit properly

      Question. I'm also looking at the nt03 wheels. Im trying to avoid front spacers but keep a square setup. Would a +35 be bad? Why did you go +27? Seems like lots of folks go 27 and add spacers to the front.

    • @mmmDeez
      @mmmDeez 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +27 is the best compromise to the +40 offset which I believe requires a 20-25mm spacer on the Evo 8/9. I run a 10mm front spacer, the wider front track doesn’t bother me as much as I thought. The new NTO3RR wheels won’t require a spacer at +27 for the Evo 8/9. The design is slightly different from the previous +M. I prefer the +M model. I was just like you and didn’t want to deal with spacers and fender rolling. It was a nightmare of surprises but in the end it’s worth it.

    Im running 18x11 - 7 te37v mk2s. Im using voltex track body kits on mine and to clear the brembo you still need a spacer. Just about an inch would do. Im using 285 30 18 ad08r tires. Im actually surprised someone fitted one in the video with a 295.

    Trying to find out about some Kansei KNP for my Evo 9. The sizes look good but I can’t find any info on which sizes have the deep face. Also front brake calliper clearance? Can’t even find a pic of an Evo 8/9 with them on anywhere. Anyone able to help?

    Quick note. Those first “guaranteed” fitment numbers ARENT 100%.
    I ordered some Japan Racing JR11 18x8.5j ET30. They’re meant to be guaranteed fitment but the spoke design means they don’t clear the caliper. Just be careful. I had to have some 10mm hubcentric spacers made

  • @bcr1818
    @bcr1818 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does anyone know if the JR3 wheels 18" x 8" with +35 offset fit inside the wheel wells for MOT? Like is it flush or inside the wheel well and does it fit? I'm so confused xD

    Ok nvm i think its because he did negative camber? I am on voltex track version widebody kits and it seems this is the widest i can get

      It's a molded kit, it's designed to look stock but the body is significantly wider over stock. Its most noticeable looking from the front or back. But from the side you wont notice a difference.
