this series hooked me on the channel. hope its not the end of the line now that you have the shop. thanks for the series to this point and all the great stuff since.
If I were to make a guess as to why that version of rocket League is so expensive it's because rocket league recently (this year, I believe) went free to play. There is not going to be any more physical editions of the game unless limited run or Super rare does something. But that is only a guess as to why it has gone up in price.

Michael Nesmith was a member of the group "The Monkees." Here is a little trivia. Michael Nesmith's mother invented White Out. It is the white stuff that comes in a little bottle, the lid has a paintbrush, and you use it to "paint" over your mistakes on a typed document. This stuff came in quite handy when I was in college.

I was at goodwill bins this week and found a sealed nintendo switch game for $1.89 /lb. Sold in 24 hrs for $15 + shipping. These deals are out there if you get out there and look.
Pshhh my goodwills are hunted by resellers so its not even worth my time even the local GameStop is always being hunted lol

Rocket League is free to play now making the physical version harder to find since everyone is just downloading it for free. Had no idea it was going for that much, glad I have mine! 😁
Im guessing theres probably a special skin/paint job for your car or some other cosmetic(s) that only came with the collectors edition that is making people pay up $$ for it, otherwise paying that kind of money for a physical copy of a FREE game is just silly.
@@twistedimagev2 Idr exactly what was included but even so once the game became free to play all the extra skins and whatnot basically got deleted from the game so there's no way to download them now if I remember correctly.

The reason why the Rocket League collectors edition is so rare is because the game recently went Free To Play and now the game isnt made physically! I used to have this game, wish I had it now!

@@jrgunman904 but the collectors edition also has some art prints and exclusive DLC you can’t buy so if it’s new then it will go for even more. But for physical collectors, that art print alone is pretty cool.
Michael Nesmith. One of the members of The Monkees. Probably the most musically gifted of all the members. He also helped pioneer the "music video" that would become popular on MTV way back in the day.

I went into the wild today and got Stubbs the Zombie Xbox, 25 other various games and a PS2 slim for $50!!! Major score!!! Stubbs pays for everything the rest is gravy😋

Always fun when I realize something I own it highly valuable from one of these episodes. I picked up Rocket League for the Switch back in the early days of the console for maybe $15. It's still sealed and apparently going for around $110 these days. I suspect it was one of those poorly sold, limited print run games.
Will never forget this series it has given me so much nostalgia💜
I got a "broken" gameboy at goodwill for 31 dollars. Except that it wasn't broken at all.

My local goodwill is putting all video games on the website now, it’s really annoying! They put them in lots and start at $30, so there might be one game I’d be willing to pay $5 or so in a given listing but the rest is junk…it’s dumb because the listings just sit there and don’t sell.
Thats some really good stuff especially nowadays and all the shops seem to be raisin over and over. At 2 Goodwills over the weekend I grabbed New Super Mario Wii and Wii Play that also had Wii Sports in it for $2.99 each. I never expected to see anything ever again after they got rid of the glass cases and knowing all the best stuff that comes in goes online. A couple/few weeks ago at independant thrifts I got an 12 inch 1992 Cobra Commander that I think has all the accessories for $9.99 and a bag of Muscle Men for I think $2.99. The store that I got the Cobra Commander at basically has boutique prices so it was nice catchin it.

Feel like Rick’s goodwill reality is finally resembling mine, in Portland Oregon, most the time games are $5-6. Few n far between places have em at $2-3 sadly 😢
At least yours has games. All the ones in my area send them to the online store. Even the crappy sport titles.
yeah here in northern/central California they dont even have video games at goodwill at all.

every time i go to California (twice a year) we ALWAYS go to the Book Off there. you can find some crazy good deals for Japanese ver. stuff, like a Dreamcast for $85, some SNES and N64 games for $15/20. I got my Japanese Kirby Crystal Shards there for $19. There's a bunch of newer games and consoles for resale. Too bad where I live doesn't really have game valuables like this.

The Netflix Wii disc was my first experience with streaming AND Netflix. My dad ran a long ethernet cord across our house just to connect to the Wii so we could stream. At first it was only lame stuff like documentaries and old shows. The first thing we ever binged was Lost lol.

I have my sisters netflix disc. It came in a kind of wax paper disc sleeve that says netflix on it. Weird and cool part of my wii collection.

Goodwill here jacked their prices up to $4 here. BUT they have been instructed to send them all to Goodwill HQ for their Goodwill auction site. They're not supposed to sell games or systems.
None of my goodwills get video games. They all go to the online store. Everything of value goes there

If I had to make a guess on the Rocket League it's because physical copies of it aren't produced anymore because the game is completely free to play.
Was in perfect shape... Then trying to film with one hand and open the case n show the disc with the other, caused only one giant scratch... Only one though!

12:50 the rocket league switch game is rare bc right now its a free download in the e-shop, not many colectors edition's were made and its a fun game

Rocket League is free to play, however if you buy it physically you probably can unlock item trading without having to pay $5 in the end game item store?
I do know that the only way to get the skin with the DC Flash super hero wheels is by buying this. And people are insane about endgame items in Rocket League!

At least your GW stores SELL games and dvds, in FL they stopped couple years go.
GW by me raised their games, Woo games were around $9-10 each, PS3 $5-7 this happened right after Thanksgiving.

video games at my goodwill are $10+ and have been since 2019. Yes, sports games too. They only ever have disc games and they sort out the valuable games to sell online (I know this because they accidently put a game out with no price on the tag and when I brought it to the counter they said it was not supposed to be put out and was supposed to goto their online store). I believe it was Megaman 8 ps1(which is only like a $20 game). No deals to be had here, def. never a mario game. Best bet might be to luck out and find a rare sports game to slip through, but I gave up even checking there after I learned they were screening through games.
My lord, I’ve had Rocket League in my collection for 4 years! Never played it that much, but holy cow, time to sell that fella
