True, but where would you even sell those lol. If it was so easy, I reckon Kevin would have already sold them somewhere. Or that he wouldn't have been able to just take them in the first place.
Joke or not there's a lot of collectors of pottery out there. Could definitely make some money selling what was there. Those Fiesta plates are pretty sought after by people.
The amount of cabinets was crazy! I look forward to part 2 where you come back and but the arcades and the subsequent grand opening of the bar-cade in 2024.
I miss the old collecting videos. The lower budget, random finds that weren't about stocking the store. Totally get it. Totally understand why. Just miss the walking around in flea markets, conventions, Goodwill and game stores looking for things for your own collection. That's what I looked forward to.
Rick, I want to say thanks because you and other people like you pushed me to try reselling and I made my first sell today! Inspired by your $10 game videos I was able to make a profit off of a DVD! Thanks and keep on doing you man!
Moments like this are incredible, as you just never know what gems people have just sitting in boxes in a storage or garage. As a teenager, I was lucky enough to have a full size cabinet of both Centipede and Defender in my home. It was so epic and seeing this brings back so many memories for all of us. Keep up the great work!🤝
@@BadTV1993 Wow, that is about as epic as it gets, lol. I imagine those are hard to find now, and would be quite the addition to a game room no doubt. Good times!

LOL “can’t get a car seat in it.” My dad had a 71 Ranchero and I rode in the passenger side seat with only a lap belt, and I don’t remember wearing it either. Granted this was in the 70s as well. Yep, I’m a first gen gamer.
Another Great episode Retro Rick. That guy was just sitting on some 🔥🔥 items in those boxes. Liquidation sale, nice. Always a great time with Retro Rick. You never know what you are going to get

💪😎💪WoW what a great collection of games and he had arcade cabinets that looked spectacular for their age. $7,500 was a steal for what you walked away with, I Promise You That Bud!!!!! I can't wait to see your store setup it's going to be way past cool for sure.👍😁😎👌
The old Donkey Kong arcade machine that was all orange and black was my favorite as a kid. Idk which one it was I just remember it bein bright orange with black around the screen and player board. Also Time Crisis and the Jurassic park one with the gun

This video just further enforces my thoughts of selling my collection lol I am too much the same way as Kevin, I kept buying anything of value cheap to resell and pay for the video game collection.....and now my garage and basement are full, and all I keep doing is buying more... So now everything is collecting dust and I feel guilty. I still play games, and want to play games....so I may from this point mainly focus on current gen / PC get rid of all the rest AND BREATHE!!!!
that sealed SNES Lord of the Rings would be soooo sick to hold onto; my dad bought me that game and a paperback copy of The Hobbit when I was like 7 or 8... changed my life... even though the game was pretty rough exploring and lots of weird bugs and glitches, it was a favorite regardless.
You could definitely create your own little arcade space for people to pay you to play those games or even have a place at the house 🏡 for just enjoyment. There’s definitely gamers who would love many of those arcades 😅 Also, I’m surprise this guy never has made a TH-cam channel… he would definitely have been awesome to watch!
I don’t have any idea on how much those arcades cost in the US. But an original Mario Bros and Donkey Kong machine like those would cost tons of dollars here in Brazil. 6k for them is definitely cheap, specially in this new retro scene. Rick, don’t take it for granted. Amazing content by the way.
Hahahaahah, aboslute EPIC that dude! "Ya'll I don't have an audience like you do, my audience is my dog, ... and he just left." Oh man I died right there! hahaahhaha
As packed as this dude's spot is, it's still less packed than my old man's everything; house, storage units, warehouse, etc. but his main thing is pinball machines, thousands of them. And of course dude has a Ranchero. The second I saw that thing in the background I was like oh a g-body elco- no that's a ranchero. And if I recall correctly the Brougham is pronounced "broom". Rick should set up an arcade as a second location...
I noticed that there is something wrong with the monitor for the Mario Bros. arcade. I could not see the scores and only about a fourth of the pipes that the enemies come out of. You will need to readjust the verticle hold. As for the cracked Donkey Kong marquee, there are companies that manufacture replacements. I've learned a lot of this info from the channel "Joe's Classic Games." He totally refurbishes classic arcade games and his specialty is vintage pinball tables.
I just bought my first original arcade and i love it besides my retro collection. If i would have come across these arcades i would have bought all off em 100%. Please more arcade content! :D
Kevin needs to be a regular on the channel he’s hilarious 😂😂
Kevin is gold! That would be a fun guy to have a bonfire with

Kevin needs his own channel, it would give better access to buy and sell.
No
I hate to say it but I feel like this is one of those times that in 10 years Rick will be like damn I wish I had a time machine and bought it all
"my audience is my dog, and he just left" .... I can relate too hard.
Might be time to look into getting a box truck for the store. This was a hell of deal to pass up.
