That butterfly brace is such a tease.. still out of stock! Looking forward to getting my hands on one, I can feel my 01 NB needs stiffness improvement despite it being well taken care of. My only concern is clearance, does it fit a 3 inch downpipe and exhaust issue free? Or would a smaller diameter be advised?
@jordonpollock1550 We're hoping to restock on those soon! Make sure you're subscribed to the email notifications by going to the product listing and clicking the 'notify when available' button. Our old 3" exhaust did fit with our Frame rail reinforcements and Butterfly brace, but it was fairly close. Depending on where exactly your exhaust is routed, it should fit, or be workable.
3 point VS. 2 point shock tower brace.. Is one better than the other? Specifically the Cobalt 3-point for the NB (different from ND version.. does not have a bar directly connecting the shock towers - possibly out of production) Thanks for the great content as always!
@_GarageThings When it comes to NAs and NBs specifically, the firewall is not really structural on these cars, so connecting it with the two shock towers using a 3 point shock tower brace does not provide any additional benefit with regards to chassis stiffness when compared with something like our shock tower brace. Thanks for watching!
@ would you consider the 3-point to be less effective.. or roughly equal to the 2-point? Again, considering this particular brace isn’t triangulated.. I have the Cobalt 3-point, and I’m trying to understand whether it’s as effective or if I should swap it out.. Thank you for your reply!
@@_GarageThings If it's made from rigid material, it's probably decent, but ultimately probably slightly less effective as our brace. Our brace has less potential flex points, but I doubt you'd notice much of a difference from swapping.
Kind of the same story as the NC: They're already pretty stiff from the get-go. It's much less crucial to brace up the 2006-current cars than it was for the earlier cars.
Can’t wait to get my strong arms installed!! Every step makes my NB better and better. Thanks for the great products and support!!
This makes me feel good about my 2002 Miata with factory bracing
Thank you for the awesome vid!
@scottytoast4108 Thank you for watching!
I was so surprised how big of a difference the frame rails made to my 01 SE, that I’ve been verbally selling it to everyone at the Miata meet-ups.
I love you guys, but please lease shoot horizontally.
He said that within the first two minutes of the video..
Thanks, Brandon!
Good job Indeed!
@zyha583 Thank you for the kind words!

What about the ND chassis stiffening options
