From my experience with Recruitment and Support Levels I found that a B-Rank Support with a student gets you a lot of leeway when it comes to having their desired stats/skills. I am playing as the Black Eagles and recruited Ingrid with an E+ in Flying. I could also recruit Marianne with a flat E in Riding, literally zero level ups for that one. If you really want someone to join you, you better start giving them a million flowers and eating with them every chance you get.
The problem at least in my golden deer run is that Ferdinand and Caspar were support locked to C but I don't know when it unlocks since I recruited them anyways with some self teaching
I found that if you rank support up to B, you can ensure your intended character to join your house by doing the following; save before you instruct, instruct, then during the week, that character will, based on RNG, ask to join your house. If they don't, soft reset (-, +, L, R at the same time) and try again. Usually doesn't take more then a few resets. I actually managed to get both Raphael and Ingrid in the same week with only 5 activity points to my name. As far as I know, drinking tea and getting perfect teatime nets you the most support per activity point spent. Other then that, be sure to buy all the gifts you can from the East and West vendors at the marketplace, and just spam gifts until they reach support rank B. Also, it appears that you need to have the support conversation for the characters to actually achieve that support rank and be able to continue building support (not confirmed, but this has been my experience thusfar).
In order to recruit all the students (except for the lords), you need to start new game+ (yeah this game has one apparently) and have at least a C (C+ on the safe side) in all the weapon and movement classes. And don't worry in new game+ it transfers all the weapon ranks and the blessings you got from the statues in the church on your first playthrough of the game.
Oh man thanks for the link for the class skills! I was definitely wondering which classes I should focus on getting their skills for. I want Deathblow for my units. How often do you use the Sword of the Creator? I seem to use other swords in place of it. I have Byleth (still a dumb name) as a Thief atm and I have enough speed to double most units even with weaker weapons.
I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT wait too late to start earning Supports with Byleth for your S-Support parter of choice. For those unaware, you do not get a chance to start building a C Support post-time skip. You need (at least) a B Rank Support BEFORE time skip with Byleth if you want to continue Supporting someone in the War Phase. The game will physically not let you trigger Supports if they are not high enough by War Phase so if you want to marry a certain character, do not wait too late to get their Supports WITH Byleth (students with other students vary, but most need at least C Support, some need B). You also must obtain Jeralt's ring to choose an S-Support partner. From what I understand, if you don't have it, you won't be able to S-Support someone. Please upvote so others can see. I posted it in my original comment, but it wasn't the main focus on that post, so people may overlook it and it appears a lot of players are unknowingly locking themselves out of S-Supports with their desired partner.
How do you obtain the ring? Do you need do anything specfic before or after timeskip? I'm still pre-timeskip so idk, I got nearly all my units to B support with Byleth.
@@easynametopronounce9533 You must be new to fire emblem, or didn't even pay attention to the final options. S support does not mean proposal. In fact, many of the S supports in this very game result in simply a deep friendship. Fortunately, that doesn't matter because it turns out the ring isn't actually an item in your inventory. You can't accidentally sell it after you obtain it.
There is one absolutely vital tip that the game never tells you about at all! If you tilt the controller on a loading screen, Byleth moves. Press the B button to make them do a cute little hop.
@@RalphNC09 Yeah I got the holy press B to jump but I was like ??? How does Byleth randomly run and sometimes just runs into the left corner and thats it!
Figured this out after 1 loading screen, there's a myth for me that if you keep pressing A, it will load faster, so yea i discovered it right away, just sharin' lol.
My tip: Pretty much only Explore or Battle. The combination of Exploring to eat meals and train yourself will yield more motivation and skill points for your students and yourself than Resting or Seminars. Exploration is basically Resting and a Seminar all in one, and Battles are the only way to increase class mastery. The only time I'd do a Seminar is if there's no class the following week. Also, don't forget that Gifts, Lost Items, Support cutscenes, and getting MVP is certain battles can all raise motivation. You can only ever teach 7 students max during Classroom Instruction, so it can be worthwhile to eat 3 meals and shove a bunch of gifts at the 7th student you want to teach that week. Also, always do Choir Practice. It's free stat points for yourself and your healers.
Choir does cost one activity point, but it increases two stats for you, and one stat for two students. Absolutely worthwhile in terms of value. And I don't use Sword of the Creator much with how limited it is. If you play online, you can use the yellow wisps to gain xp, and sometimes they also restore durability. That's how I repair the SoC for the rare times I need to use it.
Choir practice increases the skills by 5 points on non-special days. It is hardly an amount of points that changes anything, your healers would be better off healing chip damage a little extra during battles.
@@dman6093 But it also gives motivation, professor points and is good to build up support. It's a good method to boost a lot of different stuff at once. It might not be the best method for one certain thing but at least it doesn't feel like a total waste such as resting does.
Honestly, fishing can easily be its own video and a detailed guide on it is sorely lacking. Just a few things I picked up on it: - Press "B" to pass on a fish. Other people have said you can get up to 4 tries, but from my own experience, I've lost the bait every single time after the 3rd try. - Red and gold fish are rare enough to where even if you get one on the first cast, you should still go for it. - Line strength grows with Professor level, and catching gold, purple, and rainbow fish are a bit hard to do with anything below a B Professor level. - The line strength and fish stamina indicators are reminiscent of the health bars in the older FE games. - Rainbow fish can only be caught on the mysterious fish days. - It's a bit hard to gauge to PL experience gained, but it seems like small blue fish give you 5, big blue fish give you 10, red and gold fish give you 20. Getting a perfect catch on a fish gets you about 5 to 10 experience, depending on the rarity. So a perfect catch for a red fish gives you a fairly nice 30 xp. - For whatever reason, hitting the "target ring zone" in the fishing min game and the circle is clipping the outside in the ring results in only a good reel. However, clipping the inside still results in an excellent reel. Because of this, shoot for lining it up perfectly, but err on the side of being a bit too late rather than a bit too early. - Blue fish are just used in meals with no effect. Red fish are used in meals and boost stats. Gold fish can be sold for gold (I believe it's 200, 300, 500, 1000 - I don't think there are 1 star gold fish). Purple fish are 3k gold. Rainbow fish boost multiple stats in meals, but they also carry a nice price tag. - Save your Herring bait for the mysterious fish days for rainbow fish and purple fish. Blowflys catch 4/5 star gold fish and reds. Earthworms seem to be great for catching 3/4 star red and gold fish - this is great for gold farming on "fistful of fish" days. - Buy out the bait each month. Altogether, it's only like 1.5k gold. Apologies if some of this isn't entirely accurate. I haven't written down and carefully tracked everything; I'm just speaking from perceived experience.
This is pretty accurate, with a few notable exceptions. You can get more than 3 tries, but the chance to catch a fish after the 3rd try is very, very low, so you're almost always better just accepting your 3rd catch rather than waste the bait. The experience you get seems really inconsistent, and I was trying for a solid 10 minutes while paying close attention to it, but it seemed almost random what experience I got.
Planting seeds can also give you stat-boosting items: Purple Flower Seed +Str Green Flower Seed +Dex Yellow Flower Seed +Mag Blue Flower Seed +HP Red Flower Seed +Res White Flower Seed +Charm Pale-Blue Flower Seed +Spd
On the subject of flowers! Since you'll end up with many of them while you try to get the stat-boosting items, they make great (cheap) gifts that raise a unit's Motivation by 25% or 50% depending on whether they like flowers or not. Edelgard - Carnation Petra - Sunflower Ashe - Violet Mercedes - Lavender Lorenz - Rose Lysithea - Lily Marianne - Lily of the Valley Hilda - Anemone Flayn - Forget-me-nots Alois - Sunflower Cyril - Baby's Breath If there's a student you want to recruit, spam them with flower gifts until you can unlock their B-Rank Support, after which they can (randomly) approach you during the weekdays and ask to join your class.
Gaberanx Gaming they seem to be random. Serenes Forest recently put up a chart of which items you can expect from the seeds. Cultivate with the most expensive methods to raise your yields and your chances of a stat-boosting item.
When fighting monsters try to break all their shields to get bonus items, especially bosses. Also you can get rusted weapons from monster battles that can be refined into legendary weapons like Gradivus and Parthia. An easy way to get them is selecting a monster battle, checking their inventory with X and checking if they have such weapon, if not just quit the battle and re-enter it.
Blazer Ike when you fight said monsters you’ll notice that when you look at the tiles they are over(the four tile spaces that they take up) they are a shade of yellow. This means that they have a shield. The game technically has a tutorial for this but it flew over my head as well. Anyway when ever you do damage to the monster the specific tile will change to a cracked look for it. The idea is to completely destroy all four tiles by doing enough damage not to the monster but the specific tiles spaces he takes up. This will break his armor which halves all damage and allow you “take him to school” pun intended. You can do this by simply damaging him, using gambits, or the special abilities geared to monsters. As the gentleman above said this method can yield extra goodies from the beast. Good luck fellow teacher!
On recruiting Hilda, you can recruit her at any time when you pick Blue Lions, but if you picked Black Eagles, depending on your choice on Chapter 11, you will either not be able to recruit her or ONLY be able to recruit her during Chapter 12.
Press "B" to pass on a fish. Some have said you get up to 4 chances, but in my personal experience, I've lost the bait after the 3rd try every single time.
Contrary to what you stated, I fully recommend mastery of the beginner classes since they give you positional combat arts (draw back, reposition, shove, swap, etc.) that you can later use in any other class. And honestly, depending on your gameplay style, it can be quite a game changer.
Pegasus knights get darting blow as their class mastery skill. It adds 6 AS when initiating. With that skill at early and mid game my unit basically doubled everyone.
From personal experience, *IF YOU WANT TO USE A DANCER, MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT SKIP OVER THE DANCE COMPETITION* (around month 10-12, not sure because...I obviously missed it, but my friends say it was around then. Want to say 12 because that's when the Ball is). It is possible to miss the Dancer Class entirely if you do not do this Quest and *YOU DO NOT GET ANOTHER CHANCE TO DO THIS*. You need high Charm so begin as soon as possible having tea parties with the unit you want to make a Dancer to raise their Charm. Start trying to Recruit as soon as possible because you are not going to be able to do so after the time skip, so your time is limited if you want to long to start building Supports with multiple students. Speaking of Support, I cannot stress this enough, *DO NOT* wait too late to start earning Supports with Byleth. I also agree, *RAISE AUTHORITY!* By endgame, you are going to really want those Battalions.
Something i learned the hard way was to break *all* of the giant beast's armour, not only does it give you rewards for doing so but they won't be able to counter at all and will be stunned for their entire turn
If a piece of armor breaks it goes into a daze, where it won't counter the next attack. With four people, you can actually chain break all four parts of its armor with regular attacks (which won't get countered because the previous attack broke an armor piece), and when its first HP bar is gone it'll be stunned for an entire turn, so wail on it the next turn for an easy kill. Also, since it's not immediately apparent, you can actually break its last armor piece on the hit that kills it and still get the armor shards.
I would completely recommend to master both, beginners class and basic class of any character. That gives you a reposition skill, +5 hp and +2atk/magic/def/spd, all of those being really usefull to move or save allies from dangerous positions.
I was really surprised when I got Sylvain right away, and my friend did not and then we realised that Sylvain was hot for teacher. LOL. Playing Golden Deer - I was able to get Ingrid pretty easily just by having C Support with her, and lower flying and whatever else she needed but i had to GRIND OUT B ii swords and a higher support for Felix (most people told me that regardless of the support, Felix NEEDS to have B/B+ in swords), but yeah - the higher support, the higher you can fudge the stat boosts. don't forget that you start getting renown - and you can buy statue buffs that help you teach as well.
Felix doesn't _need_ swords at B, but sweet Sothis does he make you work for it. I managed to get him on the final free day with C+ in swords while funnelling gifts and food down his throat. Now he collects dust on the bench, but hey, at least I don't have to kill him.
Because I got him on literally the last free day and I really don't like his character. And it was my first run too. How am I supposed to know who was good or bad?
Save all your bait and fish on "Lots of fish" event day to greatly increase the amount of exp you get for how much bait you use and time spent fishing. Cause I know fishing can be a real drag and you don't really ever need to do it for anything outside of gaining professor exp. I never needed to use ingredients to cook stat buffing dishes. Played Hard Classic but maybe the need to cook dishes will change once lunatic difficulty comes out. Never needed to fish for silver/gold/platinum fish to get any money either. Had plenty.
I've only played a the Golden Deer route (to completion, but I digress), so here's some advice I've got: Some classes give extra weapon experience to weapons associated with that class (in some capacity), such as both magic classes giving Faith and Reason, or Cavalier giving Sword and Lance. If you wish to gain levels a bit faster in a certain weapon, entering an associated class is a good way to do it. Like Sacred Spear noted, some classes give skills or combat arts exclusive to the class (such as Dance on Dancer or Canto on a mounted class), but not all. For example, Dancers can learn the "Sword Dance" Combat art (which gives a good boost to avoid) and Sword Avoid skill (gives extra avoid when wielding a sword), which can be kept regardless of reclassing. Leveling up movement ranks gives you some pretty useful skills, which can help you if you need them. For example, leveling up Armor gives you a Weight -3 (and -5 at higher levels), which decreases the weight of weapons used, thus raising AS. Flying gives the Alert Stance skill, which gives extra Avoid if no action but Wait is chosen - given the importance placed on Avoid and terrain, it can be a blessing if one uses it to prepare for an enemy assault. These are also available to any class, despite being tied to those Movement/Armor ranks. If you raise Bow to C rank, your unit Close Counter, which is exceptionally useful for Bow units kept on defensive tiles. There is a Mini-bow that allows for 1-2 range combat, but follow-ups are impossible at 1 range, so it's very useful if you want Bows to follow-up at 1 range. If you level up a Budding Talent skill (the skill which has 3 stars beside it, which get gold stars when with tutoring), it will not only turn it into a skill they excel at, it also unlocks a semi-unique skill for them to use (such as White Magic Avoid if Byleth levels Faith).
Finally. Someone who really gives tips for beginners without adding spoilers to their video. Thank you so much. I just started the game and it's quite daunting tbh. PS: the comments section is also very helpful.
If you want to get mastery for first classes then the brigand boss from chapter 2 can be infinitely class xp farmed with no risk. He is stood on a heal tile, has no movement and no long range attack so you can just hit him with a bow as many times as you want and as long as you don't 1HK him you can keep generating class xp. this method could also be used for lv xp and weapon xp but the growth is dependent on damage so the more xp you earn the more turn you have to leave him to recover and the more weapon usage you will need. I use a rusted bow to max out all my units class xp then call it a day but it can probably be exploited more than this with enough patience.
I honestly would recommend players to recruit Felix and Lysithea - they are deadly within their weapon choice and can help significantly within later story chapters
Playing as the Black Eagles I was able to "recruit" Lysithea at a certain point in the story. Not entirely sure why, but now I have another great mage to use.
@@gvsparks1471 any magic class can use both faith and reason. A better pick for Lysithea is Dark Knight, for extra movement and canto, as well as dark tomefaire.
Don't neglect the Beginner class masteries! They are all useful positioning skills like in FEH. Combining Reposition with Canto can allow your mages and knights to keep up with your mounted units. Also I Swapped Claude out of danger after he got hit by a nasty Gambit. Anyways great video btw!
another hint I would include would be to focus on teaching skills that can't be leveled up eary without a base levels on them (you can't level up magics until you reach d rank and unlock your first spell, you can't level heavy armor until you reach d rank and unlock the armor class, you can't level fliers until you've got high enough to unlcok the first classes that allows you to mout a flier (pegasi needs d ranks for women, wyvern needs c rank for men) and d rank for riders Weapons tend to be easy to leve up through battle as long as you match the weapon grind with a class that provides bonus to that weapon... so no need to focus on those in class / focus / academic help for byleth, at least not until the others are open for battle grind. don't forget to spend your fame on the statues for easier grinds. oh and having byleth with better skill levels than the student gives bonus exp to the student. so getting byleth skills high would be a good idea
“Make sure you get the merchants” me, post time skip yah well I didn’t know that and now I can’t get them now that I know they’re a thing, really regret this because they were much more useful then I would of expected . Not sure if I can get them post time skip but yah don’t wait on them
Just an FYI maxing out the beginner classes gives Swap, Repostion, Shove, and Draw Back (same as FEH) and they are 0 durability combat arts. Also the most universally powerful (broken/OP) gambit is Stride which gives nearby teammates a massive amount of movement and pretty much lets you break all the maps in half. Also the Master classes have *really* diverse requirements so if you want your characters to become one of those, you need to look at the requirements far in advance.
@@PraiseChika my healers hardly do anything for me. I stock my field with dodge tanks or nukes that canto. Wyvern Lord Petra, Wyvern Lord Ferdinand, Assassin Felix, Dark Knight Lysithea, so on and so forth
If one of your student can win the current turnament , you can use the same one over and over for each weapons turnament (exept magic) In late/middle game that's nice to farm gold 1500 -2 000 each 7 activity point ... 14 000 gold in a row (Raphael was my champion )
Different Colored Flowers drop different stat boost. I think Purple Flowers give you a Strength stat boost while Pale Blue flower seeds yield a speed stat boost item when you harvest them. It's a decent way to counter bad RNG.
Just a random tip from a noob who just reached mid game - Iron weapons (or worse) can be sometimes good for creating kill opportunities for allies you're levelling up.
A good way to level support with students is through teaching them. Their affinity raises for every 25 motivation points spent teaching them, plus getting perfect lessons and praising them, or choosing the right response when they fail a question. If you don’t have any other students to teach, you should consider it.
If someone really didn’t know they could heal in the tournaments then my recommendation is they need to read. They’ve probably missed a bunch of other far more useful things simply because they spammed A I guess
I made my first play trough already, I’m on NG+ now, one thing I would recoment is gridning, yes its a bit boring but take the battles that dont cost any points, they are especially good at the begining when there are no monsters, you win them in not time and level up like crazy, so much I have not even used Gambits, at the end I removed leadership from the list and rather added a direct battle passive skill, and had no issues at all. ITs a JRPG so dont worry, grinding is a part of the design :)
I mean grinding isn't really part of the design. It's not there on hard mode and it was meant as a get-out-of-jail free card Fire emblem works differentky from other jrpgs. Of course if you like it, it's there, but be careful because if you overdo it you might make the rest of the game a snooze fest lol
This method only works on Normal though, at least kinda. Even on Hard difficulty, you can use the "Retreat" option during Battles to restart the current battle, while resetting your weapon durability and keeping class and skill XP (not sure about support points). Of course, you won't gain as much money and items on Hard this way, but at least you have the option of grinding, even on hard.
Yea, Hilda needing 30 (THIRTY!!!) Charm and C axes really made me feel thankful for having gone with GD first when I was trying to recruit EVERYONE on my next run. At least even a C support with her lowers that to 24 Charm needed, but damn...Even Dorothea and Sylvain (for male Byleth) only need 25 Charm (20 with C support) but at least Authority and Reason are actually good for Byleth anyway
Tea time is an easy way to raise charm. You can have tea with each student twice a month at max, save scum to get a perfect conversation. 4 weeks in a month, let's say you use 2 activity points on tea. That's 8 free points a month. That combined with level ups will get you to 30 in no time.
Do you know what adjutants do? Are they like pair up from fates and awakening? I've only noticed healers like flayn and manuela heal main units they pair with
I found that using adjutants is a great way to 1) Guarantee building support between the two units (you don't see the usual hearts pop up after a battle, but Support is increased nonetheless) 2) Raise newer, weaker units up, since the adjutants gain Level-, Class- and Skill-EXP without any risk to themselves
If you own any amibos use them, seems simple enough but they give you a lot of items. Even if they give you something you don't need, it is money if you sell it
Is resting even worth it? (of course beside the effect on byleth's prf weapon) wouldnt it just be better to buy a bunch of gifts for students and stuff like that for motivation?
soggy bread You don’t even need to rest to restore Byleths sword, as ending your turn on yellow spirit tiles with the sword equipped can restore uses too.
So far I think the general consensus is that Resting is underwhelming. From what I saw from doing it 1 time was that it raised everyone's motivation by 50% and of course repairing the Sword of the Creator a little. Since you can only Instruct so many students, at a certain point it just feels better to instead explore and Eat Meals with the students you want to train. If the student likes the dish (seen with the Blue Up Arrows) then they get 100% Motivation back. There might be something more to Resting, but at the moment it just doesn't seem as useful.
Rest is really useful for when im trying to recruit a character using the B support method. Lets me skip into the week and if i dont get them i restart. Works everytime.
Something that i am not sure about. When mastering a class, you can get some stats bonus. But is this stat bonus still valid while moving to a better class after mastering the fist one? Or is this stat bonus only available when this mastered class is set?
@The Sacred Spear Great video! I was wondering if you had any tips about which unit in each house would make the best dancer. I think Dorothea looks good for Black Eagles but I'm not sure which characters in the other 2 houses are the best for the dancer class. You need a sword rank to become a dancer right? Or does weapon not even matter? Should you make a support based unit the dancer since they won't be seeing combat much anyway?
Characters with High charm are what you want, and ones with a good mix of magic and strength. I would personally make Annette A dancer crom blue lions and golden deers would be Lorenz
@@lordtullus9942 Yeah I've heard that you need high charm to win the contest. But I'm talking more about who suits the class best. I've heard people say they made their worst unit a dancer since the unit wasn't doing much else otherwise. I've heard some who make one of their best units a dancer which seems counterintuitive, since they should be fighting and not dancing. So I guess I was wondering which are best suited for that support role.
It's tough since I pretty much had everyone in a combat role I was happy with. I'll need to look into the Dancer class more since typically its a support role, but in this game they can use magic so they can heal as well. In my playthrough I actually lost my Dancer because of certain events, so I haven't really gotten to use the class much anyway.
@@TheSacredSpear Ouch :/ that's a shame. If spoilers related then I appreciate that you didn't reveal the character name, so thanks! I appreciate that. I didn't know the dancer could wield magic too. That's actually pretty helpful to narrow down my options. Sword and magic will definitely make it easier to plan for the future.
Honestly, the best option is to just steal Dorothea and make her the dancer no matter what house you choose. She wants Authority and Charm (stuff you should be leveling anyway), and she's the best suited for the role. Strengths in Sword and Reason, plus Budding Talent in Faith, so she can dance, nuke, and heal all in one unit.
So I shouldn't bother mastering the beginner classes? I just got to level 10 so can get the intermediate ones. So do you recommend skipping the process of mastering beginner?
Came here to post exactly this, glad I checked beforehand. Usable Combat Arts depend entirely on the weapon you have equipped, class doesn't matter. The fighter class' 50 % self-heal is nice to have.
How do support endings work? How do they effect epilogues? Like the old games, some A supports end in the units getting together after the war. But in Three Houses you can have more than one A support, right? Is there like a priority list? Not that far in the game yet and wanted to see if anyone knows.
Student-student They will share there generique epilogue with their first A rank And it's seems lgbt 'cause ignatz and raphael were rephered as "couple" You-student Before final chap , you choose your future waifu in all your A rank And after final you get S dialog And I THINK all of this does not effect ng+ (yes there is a ng+)
@@RyuuSoraNoItachi You only get the cutscene it doesn't affect anything at all besides you getting the S rank on the convo log. The "cutscene" happens after the actual end of the route.
Whoever is the highest under "Closest Allies" will end up together after the war for the Students. For Byleth, you will choose near the end of the game among your highest Supported Allies.
I THINK, it has to be a special fishing day.......a hook on the calendar and the pond will have a golden glow around it. I didn't see the rainbow fish until the second half of the game. Also I totally failed to catch it....I think you only get three chances to catch it. I hooked it three times, failed all three times and then tried fishing 10 more times and didn't see it again.
Look out for the fishing event called "Mystery of the Pond" or something like that, which tells you that a mystery is at the bottom of the pond. That's when I bagged my Goddess' Massenger, at least.
I’m somewhat confused about something. One of the battles (not the story one, the one where you can battle freely), my Flayn died. She said she was retreating, so I just thought she would still be in my barracks next mission. Now she’s nowhere. I started to panic (and develop ptsd really quick, thanks fe) and try finding her. She still in the monetary, but is she dead or…?
She's dead. It is a little misleading. If the battle explicitly states "fallen units will return" beforehand will they come back. Otherwise they are permanently removed from your usable team.
Unless you are playing Casual. Then they don't die/leave. Some characters are important for story, and so they don't "die" but they won't be usable again.
They basically pulled the same thing here as they did in Awakening, at least for the mothers and the father in that one. If they're plot-important, they will "retreat", but not be usable anymore in battle.
*SPOILER AHEAD* Biggest tip is to not play Black Eagles. You permanently lose 2 units instead of 1 if you pick that house, and they happen to be the two strongest units for that house which will likely be your most invested units. It ended up fucking me pretty hard for a few encounters, not a fun experience...
I’m such a noob at this damn game. I have been playing for about 7 hours and I still have no idea what I’m doing for the most part. I already got one of my guys killed and I’m pretty bummed out about it. Some battles seem so freaking hard
Watching this I realised I spent so much time grinding that what I am seeing in this video looks far into the game. At least a bit farther than where I am at. My units are about lv 27 but the recomended lv is 11-15. I chose the blue lions and I might be obsessed with trying to rank up my units. I am already at Rank S with the assembly thingy with my main unit. Rank C-C+ for everything else but armor. That I got to about D or D+ ;w;. I am doing all this to get as many students as early as possible.
Saying not to master the Beginner classes is pretty bad advice, as they give pretty dang useful skills when mastered, and they are extremely easy to master too.
Another tip "x colored flower seeds" are a fat lie. It gives you random flowers everytime and hardly ever matches the color you plant. So just plant them all however whenever mix and match. I'm sure the seeds probably give you an increased chance at the color flowers you plant but I never noticed/really had that happen.
@@easynametopronounce9533 there's a little subquest later in the game that you need the silverfish for. It took me forever to catch one cause they only spawn in the gold fish icon, and even then I kept getting Gold and Platinum fish instead. If you don't care about the quests in the monastery then you can sell the fish, but renown(I think that's how you spell it) is more important than gold.
@@onielortiz11 Yeah their next stage of support only occurs in the time skip so you might have to raise up the skill they want sadly
@@alexmacedo4986 You should obtain it from Jeralt's room. It's a Quest, so you shouldn't miss it.

There is one absolutely vital tip that the game never tells you about at all!
If you tilt the controller on a loading screen, Byleth moves. Press the B button to make them do a cute little hop.
Oh shit! I was wondering why he moved randomly like that
@@RalphNC09 Yeah I got the holy press B to jump but I was like ??? How does Byleth randomly run and sometimes just runs into the left corner and thats it!
@Burger Boss not this guy
Figured this out after 1 loading screen, there's a myth for me that if you keep pressing A, it will load faster, so yea i discovered it right away, just sharin' lol.
I usually game on my side, so my controller is tilted all the way and byleth always moves so I thought it was automatic
My tip:
Pretty much only Explore or Battle.
Ok but what about restoring the *SPOILERS*
sword of the creator?
Doesn't choir cost a point? Also do you not use the Sword of the Creator? I don't use it much but on hard mode it's pretty useful.
Just a few things I picked up on it:
- Press "B" to pass on a fish.
Wow that is amazing fishing guide simplified. Go you man
This is pretty accurate, with a few notable exceptions.
Planting seeds can also give you stat-boosting items:
Purple Flower Seed +Str
Green Flower Seed +Dex
Yellow Flower Seed +Mag
Blue Flower Seed +HP
Red Flower Seed +Res
White Flower Seed +Charm
Pale-Blue Flower Seed +Spd
On the subject of flowers! Since you'll end up with many of them while you try to get the stat-boosting items, they make great (cheap) gifts that raise a unit's Motivation by 25% or 50% depending on whether they like flowers or not.
Edelgard - Carnation
Petra - Sunflower
Ashe - Violet
Mercedes - Lavender
Lorenz - Rose
Lysithea - Lily
Marianne - Lily of the Valley
Hilda - Anemone
Flayn - Forget-me-nots

When fighting monsters try to break all their shields to get bonus items, especially bosses. Also you can get rusted weapons from monster battles that can be refined into legendary weapons like Gradivus and Parthia. An easy way to get them is selecting a monster battle, checking their inventory with X and checking if they have such weapon, if not just quit the battle and re-enter it.

How does breaking there armor work exactly

I didn't know that you could wait for a few fish. I kept going after the first one. Now I'll definitely wait
You get three chances before your bait is gone, so always pull on the third nibble, even if it's bad. A few points are better than no points.
You can actually get lucky and lose the bait at the 4th chance.
Never thought about using Rusted/Broken weapons to max class mastery. I'll be sure to do that next time I select to Battle.
Be sure to check them on forge before using them/throwing them out. They may turned out to be B-rank/A-rank weapons.
For those unaware, you do not get a chance to start building a C Support post-time skip. Something i learned the hard way was to break *all* of the giant beast's armour, not only does it give you rewards for doing so but they won't be able to counter at all and will be stunned for their entire turn
Mine N Adventurer _The Aegis Boy_
lol did you skip the tutorial where it tells you that??
@@ricardobourdet2236 No I just didn't see that bit
LOL.

I was able to get Ingrid pretty easily just by having C Support with her, and lower flying and whatever else she needed but i had to GRIND OUT B ii swords and a higher support for Felix (most people told me that regardless of the support, Felix NEEDS to have B/B+ in swords), but yeah - the higher support, the higher you can fudge the stat boosts.
don't forget that you start getting renown - and you can buy statue buffs that help you teach as well.
Felix doesn't _need_ swords at B, but sweet Sothis does he make you work for it.

Save all your bait and fish on "Lots of fish" event day to greatly increase the amount of exp you get for how much bait you use and time spent fishing. Sniper gets hunters volley as a combat art which causes them to double before the enemy can hit back
Especially if you use a killer bow+ your snipers can kill anything
The game has been out for almost 8 months now; and even on my eighth playthrough I'm still learning new things.
I've only played a the Golden Deer route (to completion, but I digress), so here's some advice I've got:
Some classes give extra weapon experience to weapons associated with that class (in some capacity), such as both magic classes giving Faith and Reason, or Cavalier giving Sword and Lance.
Sell your random produce, including FISH, from the Storehouse in the X menu.
Tnx a did not know you can sell them.
You forgot that from certain flower certain you can get stat upgrades and that it's best to do all of one type of seed at a time
If you want to get mastery for first classes then the brigand boss from chapter 2 can be infinitely class xp farmed with no risk.

Don't neglect the Beginner class masteries! They are all useful positioning skills like in FEH. Combining Reposition with Canto can allow your mages and knights to keep up with your mounted units. Also I Swapped Claude out of danger after he got hit by a nasty Gambit. Anyways great video btw!
another hint I would include would be to focus on teaching skills that can't be leveled up eary without a base levels on them (you can't level up magics until you reach d rank and unlock your first spell, you can't level heavy armor until you reach d rank and unlock the armor class, you can't level fliers until you've got high enough to unlcok the first classes that allows you to mout a flier (pegasi needs d ranks for women, wyvern needs c rank for men) and d rank for riders
Weapons tend to be easy to leve up through battle as long as you match the weapon grind with a class that provides bonus to that weapon... so no need to focus on those in class / focus / academic help for byleth, at least not until the others are open for battle grind.
don't forget to spend your fame on the statues for easier grinds.

Could have done without knowing about the big monsters, that would have been a cool thing to experience.
Hilda died in my first battle, and she keeps showing up in cutscenes and the monetary anyway. I’m afraid she’s a revanant.
A good way to level support with students is through teaching them. Their affinity raises for every 25 motivation points spent teaching them, plus getting perfect lessons and praising them, or choosing the right response when they fail a question. If you don’t have any other students to teach, you should consider it.
If I plan to do the tournament, always make sure I cook first. Those stat boost make all the difference
It's not there on hard mode and it was meant as a get-out-of-jail free card
Fire emblem works differentky from other jrpgs.

Thanks a bunch!! VERY Nice guide for a new players
Do you know what adjutants do? Are they like pair up from fates and awakening? I've only noticed healers like flayn and manuela heal main units they pair with
Yeah it's like pair up. There are three types attack, defend and heal.
I found that using adjutants is a great way to
1) Guarantee building support between the two units (you don't see the usual hearts pop up after a battle, but Support is increased nonetheless)
2) Raise newer, weaker units up, since the adjutants gain Level-, Class- and Skill-EXP without any risk to themselves

@@ColeUnderwood Plus you can fix the sword on the forge with 2,5k/3k gold (depending on the part you're in) and some beast materials 3 I believe
The only reason to Rest is to restore your Sword of the Creator. If you have the materials to fix it at the Weapon Forge, then you don't need to Rest.
Rest is really useful for when im trying to recruit a character using the B support method. Lets me skip into the week and if i dont get them i restart. Works everytime.

Great video!

I've heard some who make one of their best units a dancer which seems counterintuitive, since they should be fighting and not dancing. So I guess I was wondering which are best suited for that support role.
It's tough since I pretty much had everyone in a combat role I was happy with. I'll need to look into the Dancer class more since typically its a support role, but in this game they can use magic so they can heal as well. In my playthrough I actually lost my Dancer because of certain events, so I haven't really gotten to use the class much anyway.
@@TheSacredSpear
Ouch :/ that's a shame.
Great video, thanks!
Hilda will not join the black eagles until you are set on the church path you can get her in blue lions pretty easily.
I just stole everyone from Edelgard away (except Hubert). Dimitri also has only two units left. I gonna destroy them all.
80 hours in this game, on playthrough two and did not know you could heal in the tournament....
Yeah, it's the usual dance of not reading the small print. I know that feeling...
that w101 music in the background lol
Oh my god this game is make me wanna put down, to complicated, this my first emblems game, i want to love it
Would you say it's more important to hold onto personal items to motivate a student's studies, or use it ASAP to increase your prof level?
So I shouldn't bother mastering the beginner classes? I just got to level 10 so can get the intermediate ones. So do you recommend skipping the process of mastering beginner?
Combat Arts are 99% transferable, unless it explicitly says so. Every CA I have unlocked from mastery is fluid.
Came here to post exactly this, glad I checked beforehand. Usable Combat Arts depend entirely on the weapon you have equipped, class doesn't matter.
The fighter class' 50 % self-heal is nice to have.
2 exceptions: Swordmaster Astra and Assassin Assassinate. You get those 2 on mastery and they can only be used in that class.
Another one
You can cheese physical tournaments in arena with an armor
Or just use Felix.
How do support endings work? How do they effect epilogues? Like the old games, some A supports end in the units getting together after the war. But in Three Houses you can have more than one A support, right? Is there like a priority list? Not that far in the game yet and wanted to see if anyone knows.
Student-student
They will share there generique epilogue with their first A rank
And it's seems lgbt 'cause ignatz and raphael were rephered as "couple"
You-student
Before final chap , you choose your future waifu in all your A rank
And after final you get S dialog
And I THINK all of this does not effect ng+ (yes there is a ng+)
@@RyuuSoraNoItachi You only get the cutscene it doesn't affect anything at all besides you getting the S rank on the convo log. The "cutscene" happens after the actual end of the route.
Whoever is the highest under "Closest Allies" will end up together after the war for the Students. For Byleth, you will choose near the end of the game among your highest Supported Allies.
Thanks! Y'all are beautiful people!
How do you get the rainbow fish, I've been trying diff. Baits and I can't seem to get it?
I THINK, it has to be a special fishing day.......a hook on the calendar and the pond will have a golden glow around it. I didn't see the rainbow fish until the second half of the game. Also I totally failed to catch it....I think you only get three chances to catch it. I hooked it three times, failed all three times and then tried fishing 10 more times and didn't see it again.
Look out for the fishing event called "Mystery of the Pond" or something like that, which tells you that a mystery is at the bottom of the pond. That's when I bagged my Goddess' Massenger, at least.
I’m on chapter 10, I’ve recruited Anna and 4 others after..Anna is the only one who shows in battle!!!!???!!
She still in the monetary, but is she dead or…?
she ded
That’s why you don’t play classic mode
How do i customize hair?
Advice for recruiting: Give your entire inventory and attention to one student and get instruction on another
Definitely found out about supports too late
Put playback speed to 0.75x, You’re welcome
I don't even understand how to use Battalions in battle...can someone help? It's my first fire emblem game.
Look it up nerd
@@echospace7347 Well in that time i beat the game, sooooo you're late
How'd you change your hair color?
GodiegoGo
The hair colour change happens after a story event
You can recruit hilda in blue lions but not red eagles
*SPOILER AHEAD*
Biggest tip is to not play Black Eagles.
Am in red eagles and am holding on to some of hilda lost junk i know shes kinda not recruitable there but still
Hilda is recruitable
Watching this I realised I spent so much time grinding that what I am seeing in this video looks far into the game. At least a bit farther than where I am at. My units are about lv 27 but the recomended lv is 11-15. I chose the blue lions and I might be obsessed with trying to rank up my units. I am already at Rank S with the assembly thingy with my main unit. Rank C-C+ for everything else but armor. That I got to about D or D+ ;w;. I am doing all this to get as many students as early as possible.
How do u sell fish?
How can learn Dorothea Stride at 6:09 ?
It's a gambit.
Ok but how the freaking hell do I unlock fishing? I’m so confused
Quest from Flayn
I didn't know you could heal in the tourney. I always thought the tourney was bullshit because of it
Saying not to master the Beginner classes is pretty bad advice, as they give pretty dang useful skills when mastered, and they are extremely easy to master too.
I once spent about an hour levelling up my professor level using only fishing. Don’t do this it’s not a good idea
Too late I already did.
YOU CAN HEAL IN TOURNAMENTS?!
Time for another playthrough, god dammit.
Nice
Another tip "x colored flower seeds" are a fat lie. It gives you random flowers everytime and hardly ever matches the color you plant. So just plant them all however whenever mix and match. I'm sure the seeds probably give you an increased chance at the color flowers you plant but I never noticed/really had that happen.
43k!? Wtf? Lol
Don’t sell your silver fish, dear god, please don’t sell your silver fish.
What are they used for? I don't really do the cooking much but is it worth it?
@@easynametopronounce9533 there's a little subquest later in the game that you need the silverfish for. It took me forever to catch one cause they only spawn in the gold fish icon, and even then I kept getting Gold and Platinum fish instead. If you don't care about the quests in the monastery then you can sell the fish, but renown(I think that's how you spell it) is more important than gold.
Also make sure you have a Zanado fruit because for whatever reason, I can't grow one no matter what I try.
Preaty usefull tips
Hilda? Pleb taste.
Bernadette is waifu
Im want gameplay profesor the sacred spear
