Lies. The A supports between students can be quite heavy handed in the romance. Similarly, the student teacher A ranks already imply attraction from the student.
I feel something important to mention is that the rusted weapons that reforge into named weapons *Don’t stack with the ones that reforge to iron* check your stacks, if it’s iron you’re good to get rid of all of them!
I haven't had any Rusted Weapons that reforge to iron. Only rusted ones that reforge to Silver, which is extremely handy. You get silver weapons for a third of the cost

If you picked Black Eagles make sure to have two saves. You will be locked into a certain ending if you don’t meet the requirements on a certain chapter.

An additional tip regarding forging: Some weapon types can be upgraded further past + For example a Steel Bow+ can be forged into a Long Bow or a Killer Edge+ can be forged into a Wo Dao
Iron weapons are GOOD. In some situations early game, EVEN when you have a plethora of steel weapons Iron weapons can be better because they have a lower WT stat. This stat can raise your AS stat and allow you to attack twice depending on the enemy AS. Usually if you can attack twice it's better than attacking once with a steel weapon UNLESS you are using a combat art or the character is just REALLY fast and attacks twice with the steel weapon.
@@lucaspastori8321 Oh I'm sure. I'd say this advice is good for about 30 hours (on your first playthrough ofc). More advance weapons are lighter and stronger with higher crit (although they have WAAAAAAAY less durability (like 15 max) so even then Iron can STILL be good to have as backup.
Iron+ is probably the most practical weapon in the game. I agree the lower weight makes it good not to mention moving around the map, the lesser the weight the longer your movement is

Hell, even a training weapon(+) can be incredibly useful with its low weight and great durability. Getting a follow-up attack and doubling your damage output will beat out the extra Might in most situations.

Here's a tip from personal experience: In new game+ spend all your renown in increasing your professor level to the max and (this is optional) in the stats you'll focus your character to have. By doing those two things you'll be able to do more things in the monastery, that includes faculty training. Faculty training in the early stages it's key if you wish to recruit many units from other houses, since they have a stat check. If you want to lower those, you can also give them gifts, or invite them for tea to increase your support level. But having a high professor level makes recruiting other units incredible easier. To give some context of how useful this has been: I haven't done the Flayn quest where she's missing yet, however I've recruited a total of: 6 different students from other houses because I was able to raise my stats with faculty training.
This should be titled "Things that are clearly there but didn't bother to notice in my playthough"! Yes, fishing is clearly a free task, that's what the counter on top is for, this is not for decoration. There is no hourglass either when you confirm you want to fish either so, yeah, double confirmation for ya. About entering a certain building and it makes you go to the end of the month: The area is literally glowing and the game asks you to save, it should be clear in your mind that what is ahead is important plotwise... especially if you payed attention to the story and spoke to ppl around. Are you playing this game or you aren't? About bataillons or asking students for help: Whenever you get a quick tutorial make sure to try it out and investigate the mechanics asap, and by that i mean right away. Read, look at the menus, buy/recruit, save, and test it out on the spot. Merchants and gifts: They rarely come to town and are even in the calendar and posting board, so pay attention, the game litterally screams that this is very important. About picking items around: Whoever wrote this never played any RPGs! Do you think Link cares about ethics when he breaks stuff in people's house, in their face?😆 Anyway, you are a teacher, the Church confiscates/hides/indexes so much stuff in this game, as a representative of the church you're totally entitled to do it too, it's part of the job! Rusted weapons: Since when does a well made game like this one bugs you with tons of useless weapons scattered around? Of course you have to check if it has value, because chances are you want these items. New Game Plus: Nice of you to tell us but from the title you are talking about a first playthrough, so it would not affect what you have done do far. (If not, you probably find the game really hardcore and challenging because you were so much not paying attention to anything, therefore are still stuck on chapter 7 with a level 4 Hilda!) Loading screen: You have it all wrong, press the button to jump, tilt left or right to move, set the controler straight to stop/flash cape (gotta motivate the loading bar to go to the right faster, right?). This is bad journalism, please confirm what you state as facts by playing the game yourself before regurgitating whatever you read on the internet.
Another reason to not waste rusted weapons. They never break, so if you want to grind out a unit's class exp and weapon level, give them a knowledge gem, go to an auxiliary battle, one with a forest, hide in a thicket and have them swing away until they master the weapon or the class. If the enemy's weapon breaks, even better. You have 100 turns to do this, so pick up two Knowledge gems and grind away.
for it was changing the voice from en to jp, i just found out now and im already halfway through the game, (to those who didnt know, just goto the extra tab via main menu and select the voice option to change)
Felix should actually eventually end up with a battalion, since his unique battalion gives more attack boosts than his personal skill. Only during the early game can Felix’s personal come in handy.
Pretty sure the presents you buy from the venders are the exact same as the ones you find, they aren't worth any more motivation or support. The only thing that effects how much motivation/support a unit gets is whether or not that is a particular present they like (each unite has about 3 or 4 presents they like the most). Still a very good idea to buy them all, but they aren't anything special other than more presents.
You mention that Felix doesn't need a battalion but the same is also true for Catherine, who can also be seen as easily interchangeable with Felix and her skill is definitely more useful
tip 1 is incorrect, students can marry each other at the end so yes you can play matchmaker and yes you can marry someone. why did you make that tip if you didn't finish the game?
You should still give Felix a battalion. His ability gives like +5 attack when he doesn’t have one. My Felix currently has a battalion that gives him +20 crit and like +5 or +8 attack along with some avoid and other stats. Rusted weapons that smith into a great weapon are dropped from monsters, mostly found in the non story related battles (versus exploring, resting, seminars) and not from the purple circles on the ground.

Well on Normal you can pull it of in any house you just have to grind those unlimited auxiliary battles till you have all the skills and stats where they are needed ...
@Ronald weasley Well you need money to buy all the gifts so you still need to grind the battles ... so the best and fastest method would be to combine the 2 use the level up and battles to say focus on a few skills while to recruit a few characters while using the earned money to buy gifts for the rest ... Also with using the infinite battles to grind the skills you could theoretically get to the level within a month or 2 if you just keep repeating the battle over and over without advancing time that much ... While you can use the gifts only once you unlock the merchant and the gift stock is 1 limited and only refreshes once a month.
normal mode lets you have infinite aux battles on 6/15 or they first battle day after the first real bandit fight. you can easily grind out your byleth to max sword lance axe brawl to c level and move on maxing out your byleth early on will let u get everyone no problem, then spend all that time getting faculty member to lioke u so they join. in hard mode so far this feature doesnt seem present. there is no free aux battles in hardmode making getting everyone much harder.
You can actually play matchmaking. The male and female student does get married when they received A support with each other. I was surprised when Ashe and Ingrid got married in my playthrough.
Felix and Cathrine Have Abilities that give Felix+5 Dmg and Cathrine +5 Dmg reduction without Battalions equipped. there are some Late Game Battalions that are worth it on them though. but yeah they have the Lone wolf thing going on.
You can wife anyone in this game. Even Rhea and Sothis. Once you get anyone to support A, their dialogue changes into things more romance based. Still a teacher though. Can't be banging the students even in a fantasy game guys

You cant just turn them ... its more like you have a rare chance that the rusted weapon is a lost unique weapon ... so you should always check the rusted weapons before selling them
You can but its loose. The end credits will highlight couples it seems to be the first unit a character gets to A or A+ support with. So you can manipulate it like that

Thank god no more dating crap... The whole thing where we could recruit our kids in the last couple games made no sense to me. Even with the magical dimension where time goes faster (Hyperbolic Time Chamber for Fire Emblem).

Also on the flayn tip you can advance all the way till the quest start as long as you don’t accept the prompt which literally states it ends the month it won’t end

You don't have to wait until the end of the month to take that quest, you can do it right away and just don't enter the room- the game will allow you to spend activity points and explore without completing the quest. That, and it literally says before entering "entering this room will skip to the end of the month, do you want to continue?" So... Not like you even need the tip to learn.
Whoever wrote the script to this just mass-skipped all of the dialogue and didn't talk to anyone in the monestary and then whines "waaaa, i don't understand diz game, itz haaaard!" 🤣

"Scared of ghosts" makes up a good chunk of Lysithea's supports... Not her's. "Deep connection to Rhea" not Cyril's, who mentions her every conversation, not Setheth, her _personal advisor_, or even Flayn who lives in the monastery... But Catherine. Then my absolute favorite, "someone who fights outside". This applies to literally everyone.

I noticed that, from my experience, B support bypasses the stat preferences of students from other houses and lets you recruit them regardless of the stat rank The only exception that I'm aware of being that Catherine joins you after you hit lvl. 15 without question
*Tip 1:* You can have tea time with Flayn. *Tip 2:* You can zoom in on Flayn. *Tip 3:* You can make Flayn blush. *Tip 4:* You can protect Flayn. *Tip 5:* You can marry Flayn.
AcciorraOfficial I ended up killing her on my first play through. Turns out on that mission if you go after Seteth first then Flayn they will both retreat, if you go for Flayn first they both die. The game gives no warning of this or indications that you should hit one before the other so she lives on my second play through
yellowbeard1 Well damn, it’s a good thing I always prioritized defeating Seteth before Flayn in my second playthrough. I didn’t know you could do that. I would have been so sad if I killed Flayn, especially because I married her in my first playthrough.

There IS romance, you have to S rank the one you want to romance then the romance happens at the end of the game. I think after you beat the last boss I'm not sure.
TIP: it took me a while to find the info on the green triangles your units have in combat. the color of the triangle indicate how much health your battalion have on that unit. Green: means they are healthy yellow: half health red: almost dead
"Dont give felix battalion" I don't think you look at stats. There are battalions that give extra strength, crit, and an evasion bonus. In late game, it is better to have one. Who cares about 5 dmg when he wont get hit and crits more?
Early game, it's ill-advised. Late-game or NG+ though? Go all out. House leader battalions and A-rank battalions tend to result in net gains. _king of lions corps cough_
Rare rusted weapons needs smith level A+ and rare materials , so you wouldn't get any at all until the very late of Part 2.For the normal ones, they are the same from weapon shop , just cheaper.
Hey just a heads up, the romance thing is a bit misleading. You pick which student you marry prior to the final mission of the game. And then In the epilogue it shows what happened to Byleth and their chosen spouse This also expands to your students dating each other (from what I’ve played it seems to be whoever A ranks each other first) my dorothea married my Sylvain during the epilogue :)

GameSpot; you or your students can’t date anyone. Me; bruh, at the end of the war you and your students marry. In fact, before the mission of the last chapter you get to pick which character you can marry (depends on which ones you have an A support for, also I recommend not doing male Byleth with Gilbert or Alois, those are unsatisfying I hear) and during the little snippets before the credits it’ll tell you which of your students married who (I played Golden Deer and surprisingly got Lorenz and Marianne to marry, I wasn’t expecting that but it was awesome) students you recruit can also marry students in your house (whichever ones have an A support they will marry)
You can romance. Whoever you S rank *SPOILER* your character can marry at the end of the game. But it’s only one person and none of the students / allies can do it. You’re the only one and it’s just a lot less of a thing then it was in awakening or fates.
Not really. Your allies/students marry each other to. You can even pick pretty much. In case of the students they marry the people you didnt pick. And then its a question who got A support with who first. So if you want two specific people to marry hold off to all other A supports till you get the one you want and then do that to ensure them marrying each other. How their marriage works for them is something you can read about during the credits.

Its exactly the same way marriage works for the last 2 Fire Emblem games, unless you were expecting Persona style dating or something.
Heres a tip- You can farm renown if you have the Ashen Wolves DLC. Just farm gold, buy seeds, and trade them for renown at the alter. 9900 gold worth of seeds gets you just under 1000 renown. If you have a ton of gold, trade it for renown BEFORE the final battle, and it will carry over with your other bonus renown. You also get 10000 if you finish the DLC side story.
there is definitely romance. the video is misleading on that point. its not the same as the past few fire emblems, as there is no child mechanic. but claiming you can't romance anyone, as the video suggests, is just wrong.
Until this game I hadn't played an FE game since The Sacred Stones on the GBA (because of not owning Nintendo consoles, not anything to do with the games), but the way the supports worked in the GBA games what that the romance and marriage stuff happens in the endings of the characters. So you maximize support with a character B that is a valid marriage option for character A and in their endings it will tell you what kind of relationship they ended up with.
There is romance in the game it's just at the very end tho, both the male and female protagonist can romance a lot of the characters. If you want to romance a character you have to get there rank to S from what I've heard and seen.
Err... So did the maker of this video just not pay attention during their playthrough? Most of these are explained in the game itself through tutorials. Others are very obvious, like the fishing one. You fish once, notice that the activity level didn’t go down, and the professor level went up. The calendar and event summaries literally tell you if a day has fishing buffs. It’s not explicitly spelled out to you, but just one second of exploring the game and basic common sense should’ve been enough to figure out. “Give people battalions, they let you do powerful gambits” - lol, again, literally spoon fed to you in the game. Then some are just incorrect, like the romance one and the quest that skips a month. You can accept the quest without skipping the month; just don’t go into the room, which again should’ve been obvious as the game literally says “this will skip the entire month”. I’m sorry to shit on the video so much, but it’s just so much obvious stuff that it’s baffling. Next time, just take your time and read the text that the game presents you. The merchants and the rusted weapons were good tips.

it does, but i think it gets bug. when i first got the game, i could flip it, but after chapter 3 or 4 i coulnt anymore
If there is something on screen it wont work. It only works screnless with no calendar.

About bataillons or asking students for help: Whenever you get a quick tutorial make sure to try it out and investigate the mechanics asap, and by that i mean right away. Read, look at the menus, buy/recruit, save, and test it out on the spot.
Merchants and gifts: They rarely come to town and are even in the calendar and posting board, so pay attention, the game litterally screams that this is very important.
About picking items around: Whoever wrote this never played any RPGs! Do you think Link cares about ethics when he breaks stuff in people's house, in their face?😆 Anyway, you are a teacher, the Church confiscates/hides/indexes so much stuff in this game, as a representative of the church you're totally entitled to do it too, it's part of the job!
Rusted weapons: Since when does a well made game like this one bugs you with tons of useless weapons scattered around? Of course you have to check if it has value, because chances are you want these items.
New Game Plus: Nice of you to tell us but from the title you are talking about a first playthrough, so it would not affect what you have done do far. (If not, you probably find the game really hardcore and challenging because you were so much not paying attention to anything, therefore are still stuck on chapter 7 with a level 4 Hilda!)
Loading screen: You have it all wrong, press the button to jump, tilt left or right to move, set the controler straight to stop/flash cape (gotta motivate the loading bar to go to the right faster, right?). This is bad journalism, please confirm what you state as facts by playing the game yourself before regurgitating whatever you read on the internet.
And the first tip is straight up wrong, you CAN marry people, seriously did these guys even played the game before spurting out these nonsense "tips"?
Another reason to not waste rusted weapons. They never break, so if you want to grind out a unit's class exp and weapon level, give them a knowledge gem, go to an auxiliary battle, one with a forest, hide in a thicket and have them swing away until they master the weapon or the class.
If the enemy's weapon breaks, even better.
You have 100 turns to do this, so pick up two Knowledge gems and grind away.
for it was changing the voice from en to jp, i just found out now and im already halfway through the game,

Felix should actually eventually end up with a battalion, since his unique battalion gives more attack boosts than his personal skill. Only during the early game can Felix’s personal come in handy.
Actually with the students if you get a with certain combos at the very end they're put on the same card telling you that they got together
Pretty sure the presents you buy from the venders are the exact same as the ones you find, they aren't worth any more motivation or support. The only thing that effects how much motivation/support a unit gets is whether or not that is a particular present they like (each unite has about 3 or 4 presents they like the most). Still a very good idea to buy them all, but they aren't anything special other than more presents.
You mention that Felix doesn't need a battalion but the same is also true for Catherine, who can also be seen as easily interchangeable with Felix and her skill is definitely more useful
tip 1 is incorrect, students can marry each other at the end so yes you can play matchmaker and yes you can marry someone. why did you make that tip if you didn't finish the game?
You should still give Felix a battalion. His ability gives like +5 attack when he doesn’t have one. My Felix currently has a battalion that gives him +20 crit and like +5 or +8 attack along with some avoid and other stats.
Rusted weapons that smith into a great weapon are dropped from monsters, mostly found in the non story related battles (versus exploring, resting, seminars) and not from the purple circles on the ground.
I like giving Felix Stride, using it up at the start of a battle, and then go nuts xd

I gave Felix a battalion that grants him +4 phys attack so that he can gain the benefits of having a battalion while only losing 1 attack point.

If you want to get all units, use Female Byleth and join Golden Deers.
Well on Normal you can pull it of in any house you just have to grind those unlimited auxiliary battles till you have all the skills and stats where they are needed ...
@Ronald weasley Well you need money to buy all the gifts so you still need to grind the battles ... so the best and fastest method would be to combine the 2 use the level up and battles to say focus on a few skills while to recruit a few characters while using the earned money to buy gifts for the rest ...
Also with using the infinite battles to grind the skills you could theoretically get to the level within a month or 2 if you just keep repeating the battle over and over without advancing time that much ...
While you can use the gifts only once you unlock the merchant and the gift stock is 1 limited and only refreshes once a month.
If you choose the same class does everyone start over from level 1? I had some bad rng early on so I like the thought of starting over.
normal mode lets you have infinite aux battles on 6/15 or they first battle day after the first real bandit fight. you can easily grind out your byleth to max sword lance axe brawl to c level and move on maxing out your byleth early on will let u get everyone no problem, then spend all that time getting faculty member to lioke u so they join.
in hard mode so far this feature doesnt seem present. there is no free aux battles in hardmode making getting everyone much harder.

You can actually play matchmaking. The male and female student does get married when they received A support with each other. I was surprised when Ashe and Ingrid got married in my playthrough.
I think it only works of they can get an A+ support?

Felix and Cathrine Have Abilities that give Felix+5 Dmg and Cathrine +5 Dmg reduction without Battalions equipped. there are some Late Game Battalions that are worth it on them though. but yeah they have the Lone wolf thing going on.

You earn battalions in paralauges and battle quests. Dont trip on it especially on normal. You keep all the battalions you unlocked in new game plus
You can wife anyone in this game. Even Rhea and Sothis. Once you get anyone to support A, their dialogue changes into things more romance based. Still a teacher though. Can't be banging the students even in a fantasy game guys

You cant just turn them ... its more like you have a rare chance that the rusted weapon is a lost unique weapon ... so you should always check the rusted weapons before selling them

You can but its loose. The end credits will highlight couples it seems to be the first unit a character gets to A or A+ support with. So you can manipulate it like that

Also on the flayn tip you can advance all the way till the quest start as long as you don’t accept the prompt which literally states it ends the month it won’t end
My tip is too always be looking ahead at what class certifications are. It helps you plan out what skills you need to advance your characters in.

Isn't that basic strategy rpg knowledge? 😂 Like once you learn about classes that should be the first thing you do. Hell the main mechanic of this game is literally planning out how each character will improve what skill so they can class properly

*Pro Tip* After starting a new game with save+ you should considering spending all of your renown thus far to advance prof level to A right away
Makes sense, then you have the most money and action points, as well as acess to pretty much all facilities.
That's what I did. Makes things a lot easier.

Took me two playthroughs to max it out. You can do that with weapon ranks too, so grinding is less annoying.

You don't have to wait until the end of the month to take that quest, you can do it right away and just don't enter the room- the game will allow you to spend activity points and explore without completing the quest.
That, and it literally says before entering "entering this room will skip to the end of the month, do you want to continue?"
So... Not like you even need the tip to learn.

I noticed that, from my experience, B support bypasses the stat preferences of students from other houses and lets you recruit them regardless of the stat rank
The only exception that I'm aware of being that Catherine joins you after you hit lvl. 15 without question
A useful thing to remember when playing newgame+, spend renown to B rank characters and have them join your class

AcciorraOfficial I ended up killing her on my first play through. Turns out on that mission if you go after Seteth first then Flayn they will both retreat, if you go for Flayn first they both die. The game gives no warning of this or indications that you should hit one before the other so she lives on my second play through

The quest you get you can still look for the parts you need. You do not have to advance the month. it ask you if you want to.
Half way through the game, and finding about the no romance is very sad
except there is romance, depending on who it is you give them a ring and love is professed. the video is quite misleading.
Plus, as someone else stated in another comment, I know that at least Ferdinand and Dorothea get married at the end of the game too if you get them to A support
There IS romance, you have to S rank the one you want to romance then the romance happens at the end of the game. I think after you beat the last boss I'm not sure.
TIP: it took me a while to find the info on the green triangles your units have in combat. the color of the triangle indicate how much health your battalion have on that unit.
Green: means they are healthy
yellow: half health
red: almost dead

"Dont give felix battalion" I don't think you look at stats. There are battalions that give extra strength, crit, and an evasion bonus. In late game, it is better to have one. Who cares about 5 dmg when he wont get hit and crits more?
Early game, it's ill-advised. Late-game or NG+ though? Go all out. House leader battalions and A-rank battalions tend to result in net gains. _king of lions corps cough_

Rare rusted weapons needs smith level A+ and rare materials , so you wouldn't get any at all until the very late of Part 2.For the normal ones, they are the same from weapon shop , just cheaper.

Hey just a heads up, the romance thing is a bit misleading. You pick which student you marry prior to the final mission of the game. And then In the epilogue it shows what happened to Byleth and their chosen spouse
This also expands to your students dating each other (from what I’ve played it seems to be whoever A ranks each other first) my dorothea married my Sylvain during the epilogue :)

Me; bruh, at the end of the war you and your students marry. In fact, before the mission of the last chapter you get to pick which character you can marry (depends on which ones you have an A support for, also I recommend not doing male Byleth with Gilbert or Alois, those are unsatisfying I hear) and during the little snippets before the credits it’ll tell you which of your students married who (I played Golden Deer and surprisingly got Lorenz and Marianne to marry, I wasn’t expecting that but it was awesome) students you recruit can also marry students in your house (whichever ones have an A support they will marry)
The rusted one was good to know as I've just been discarding them.

You can romance. Whoever you S rank *SPOILER* your character can marry at the end of the game. But it’s only one person and none of the students / allies can do it. You’re the only one and it’s just a lot less of a thing then it was in awakening or fates.
Not really. Your allies/students marry each other to. You can even pick pretty much. In case of the students they marry the people you didnt pick. And then its a question who got A support with who first. So if you want two specific people to marry hold off to all other A supports till you get the one you want and then do that to ensure them marrying each other. How their marriage works for them is something you can read about during the credits.

Heres a tip- You can farm renown if you have the Ashen Wolves DLC.
Just farm gold, buy seeds, and trade them for renown at the alter. 9900 gold worth of seeds gets you just under 1000 renown. If you have a ton of gold, trade it for renown BEFORE the final battle, and it will carry over with your other bonus renown. You also get 10000 if you finish the DLC side story.
I knew you could jump, but knowing you can cape flip too is a real game changer.

It’s a shame there are no romance options there are so many great characters
there is definitely romance. the video is misleading on that point. its not the same as the past few fire emblems, as there is no child mechanic. but claiming you can't romance anyone, as the video suggests, is just wrong.
Until this game I hadn't played an FE game since The Sacred Stones on the GBA (because of not owning Nintendo consoles, not anything to do with the games), but the way the supports worked in the GBA games what that the romance and marriage stuff happens in the endings of the characters. So you maximize support with a character B that is a valid marriage option for character A and in their endings it will tell you what kind of relationship they ended up with.
There is romance in the game it's just at the very end tho, both the male and female protagonist can romance a lot of the characters. If you want to romance a character you have to get there rank to S from what I've heard and seen.

Err... So did the maker of this video just not pay attention during their playthrough? Most of these are explained in the game itself through tutorials.
Others are very obvious, like the fishing one. You fish once, notice that the activity level didn’t go down, and the professor level went up. The calendar and event summaries literally tell you if a day has fishing buffs. It’s not explicitly spelled out to you, but just one second of exploring the game and basic common sense should’ve been enough to figure out.
“Give people battalions, they let you do powerful gambits” - lol, again, literally spoon fed to you in the game.
Then some are just incorrect, like the romance one and the quest that skips a month. You can accept the quest without skipping the month; just don’t go into the room, which again should’ve been obvious as the game literally says “this will skip the entire month”.
I’m sorry to shit on the video so much, but it’s just so much obvious stuff that it’s baffling. Next time, just take your time and read the text that the game presents you.
The merchants and the rusted weapons were good tips.
