- If your driver for your XP-Pen product is not working after installation or after you reboot your computer the pen pressure functionality stops working, just follow these quick steps to help fix the issue. This has been the bane to my existence for the past two years, and it really messed with my ability to be able to use my product anytime I wanted. I'll list the driver down below.

ATTENTION!!!
If you're getting a message that says something close to "Hello, please connect a device first.", then unplug your XP PEN Tablet power cable and plug it back in. This solved my problem.
This is not working... I tried unplug and plug it back many times, and tried all different USB ports... same message came back... really frustrating. Before upgrading windows, it worked perfectly. What the hell is going on... it's windows problem or XP-Pen problem..

So do I need to do this every time you want to use the XP-pen Artis pro 22 First gen?
I got trouble installing it even with the newest drivers from the website. (Windows 11)
I can not use my mouse and pen at the same time and the pen doesn’t let me select any menu or open new doc with medibang.
Need to use my keyboard with hot keys to open new file. Really annoying.
Bought it for my daughter who likes to draw.
Hi! I just got the artist 22pro, and everytime I open an art app like sai, the pen stops working. It works as long as the apps closed??

My issue is it disconnect and reconnects instantly. But when it does that I can still draw, BUT I can no longer right click for option or open an image. When I typed it goes blank. When I click on windows key it closes immediately. I restart my PC and it's normal for a bit and happens again every day
Hello! I have Artist 22R PRO and PC with Windows 10 and also have the same issue - it's just disconnect/connect instantly and then my pen buttons are dead. Also ALL buttons on the tablet itself reset to their standard settings. To solve it I have to reboot my PC every time. It's driving me mad.
Did you solve the issue? Can you share your opinion about this problem?
@@SpecterXY it absolutely not a hardware or electrical issue, because I have just the same problem. The main point is that this thing can be solved by rebooting your PC. I think smth in the software resets and messes up our tablets. Just can't find that damn thing.
@@SpecterXY They didn't ever respond - so I started to search for the solution here and there... That's how I ended up here. Anyway, thank you for your concern. I just hope to find someone who had this issue and successfully solved it so I could ask him/her.
@@vladislavkhan6097 I have the exact same issue on the same model, but I found an easier way to deal with it: just exit and run the Pentablet.exe again, it at least saves your time from rebooting your PC. No need to quit your drawing/editing software. However, this problem is still frustrating
@@SpecterXY The struggle of how XP-Pen keeps saying to contact Amazon then when I do they say they can't help and XP has to 🤣🤣🤣🤣
