    The BEST track guides on YT by some way.
    Am new to sim racing so a long way off your excellent times and consistency but videos like this are invaluable in helping me get better.

    Holy cow, i'm very new to sim racing, i've got about 8 hours in ACC. 7 of those on Zolder and I've just tried about 10 laps on Spa. I was so happy getting ONE lap under 2:30 (2:29.2) but then I googled how fast you guys are going. 2:15 is insane to me.
    I'm still playing with the green arrows on the ground and auto shifting because I'm too overwhelmed. Lowered TC to 4 and ABS to 2. You guys impress me so much.
    Thanks for the guide.

      Are you playing with a wheel? If not ACC is not the right game to play... First thing you need to do is make shifting manual... auto shifting loses you SECONDS per lap by itself... secondly don't try to go fast at first... set very reserved and comfortable break points at first and try to shift down manually by feeling... meaning that if you need to go from 6th to second try to make it natural for your fingers to naturally hit the paddle 4 times as you break without you having to count... next thing you need to do is relax your arms... when you turn don't grip the wheel hard... relax your arms so you can feel the limit of the grip where the wheel stops giving you more... and when you hit the brakes don't be gentle... hit it to 100% hard without mercy in ACC... and if the fronts are locking then set the break bias lower... all the setups in this game have lower brake bias... also don't be scared to use both pedals at the same time... you can slowly let go of the throttle while you push the break and the same when you use the break doesn't mean you can't feather the throttle too... this is a very advanced technique but it separates the pleb like me from the pros like Luke 😁
      Finally, if you're using an old tech wheel (Logitech or Thrustmaster and not a direct drive) you're not gonna be really fast at ACC unless you're some supernatural psycho (there are some of those... lol) that has insane feeling for driving with them and still extracts all the time the car can give him... direct drive is massively faster at giving you FFB info (we're talking 90+% faster as it gives you full feedback in less than 40 miliseconds) .
      I'm not some super fast dude... I'm at 2:20 at best at Spa at the moment and hoping to improve but Spa is by far my worst track and on others I am decently competitive online and have some podiums and a few wins on low/mid tier LFM races... working on the fundamentals will make you better... it's not the car setup, it's not some magic solution... it's your driving... when you get within 2-3 seconds of the pro times, then it starts being about the car setup and extracting time through it .

      @@nikosfotidas8543 thanks for the advice. I've got an older logitech 920 with paddle shifters. I ended up switching to manual shifting. It was bad at first but it slowly got easier. And i'm now just a bit faster shifting manual. I'm still very average but I feel i'm making progress. Got it down to 2.26 or 2.28, don't remember. Haven't played much since I posted the comment above but at least i'm having fun. I also got the GT4 DLC and i'm having a blast. Slower but still fast, and way more forgiving, so I can learn the basics before getting tortured by GT3 cars.

      @@Andrei5656 Trust me... relax your arms and don't fight the wheel and overdforce it to a spin... do this and you'll get at least 3-4 seconds faster from where you are now... 😁
      And if you ever have the budget to sell your logitech and buy a DD wheel (the CSL DD from Fanatec is very cheap for a DD... only 500 for a 8Nm bundle) go for it... it will change your life if you love driving... it goes from a game to a "holy fucking shit, I never thought it could feel this way!!!" experience...

      I really hope to get to 2:18:500 on Spa cause I wanna be able to run it on LFM and if you're over 2:20:000 you're off pace even in the mid tier splits...
      Spa is the one track a really relly f-ing suck at... I mean on Silverstone a couple of months ago I was getting podiums left and right on mid tier splits and on Spa I'm always miles behind and it's not worth getting into a race you know you're not competitive at no matter what...
      Not only that, it's fucking Spa... it's the best track in the world and the one track I love running for practice more than any other (except Imola which is my favorite track... even though races at Imola are almost always a shitshow cause people are racing like morons all over the place there... lol)

      Spa is a real bitch... however most pros actually have setups with their wing at 3-5 for Spa from what I've seen... I'm desperately trying to find a setup that actually works for Spa on the Lambo which is my main car but no luck so far...
      It's my worst track overall and my second favorite track to drive in... which suuuuucks cause I'm never competitive in it... lol

    One of my question about Spa was "How do you, guys, achieve 240+ kph exit speed after Eau Rouge - Radillon?". Because I'm flat out. But I can't reach more than 230.
    It's looks I found answer here. Tc=0 after first corner. Can't believe...

    • @nikosfotidas8543
      @nikosfotidas8543 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well, that is if you can do that without sending the car to oblivion... hahahaha
      Spa is a bitch for me man... I just can't get the times I need... I'm so damn slow at 2:20:500 and it's not even worth getting into an online race with times like that... if you're over 2:18:500 then you're trash and it's not worth it...
      But the way they do it with TC so low needs so much skill to do it right... Spa needs a lot of skill... it's not even like Monza that has very typical turns.... Spa has every kind of turn you can imagine... it's nuts... being a great racer at Spa is the biggest test of skill imho...
      Anyway... I'm obviously gonna try Luke's tips and will try to make a setup with the wing all the way down that I can actually drive and see how it goes... hopefully with enough practice I'll learn to drive it 😁

    Great track guides. I have improved my times on tracks. But your car looks way more stable than mine does. Can’t get below 4 on tc 😂 just spin out. I assume you’re on pc. I’m on Xbox series x. And you brake way later too. But great work 👍🏼

    • @LukeMorris11
      @LukeMorris11  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I’m on PC dude, in terms of spinning out it sounds like you could be applying too much steering or getting on the throttle too hard too early possibly?

    • @nikosfotidas8543
      @nikosfotidas8543 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@LukeMorris11 It's incredibly hard to apply just enough throttle when on TC 0 or TC 1 without spinning... that Eau Rouge with TC 0 you do is f-ing nuts from the perspective of non-pro level competitive driver... but I get why you do it cause at TC 3-4 I have a lot of understeer and lose a lot of speed...
      I'm guessing that you picked the Mac because it's very planted and stable, right? Would the same principle apply to the Lambo that is also extremely planted and stable? Does your setup contain a lot of understeer to counter the twitchiness and keep the car from spinning with so low TC? I only drive the Lambo and the BMW M4... maybe a little bit of Porche and Ferrari here and there but 95% of the time is either Lambo or BMW
      Thanks in advance man... your guide is really good for a great laptime in quali and/or when you're racing without many cars around you (for example I would never turn off TC at Eau Rouge if I'm close to someone else cause if I have to avoid him and turn the wheel aggressively I'm gone...)

      @@nikosfotidas8543 Lambo is extremely good as well around Spa my best lap on it is only a few tenths slower than my best lap on the mclaren. but even on lambo up the Eau Rouge TC0 practice it and you will benefit, it is a lot easier than people think. Only car that cannot do TC0 going up there is the ferrari all other cars are a breeze going up full throttle on tc0

      @nikosfotidas8543 yeah 100+ hours here and only like 3-4 weeks on a wheel been struggling getting 2:23-22s though I can flat out that section I need to be in tc-5-4 and tune because I apparently can't drive an aggressive preset it's either too understeery or impossible to control and spin easily
      But even with my good feeling setups no shot I could handle tc 0 let alone flat out that section Jesus...and I also tried driving that McLaren a bit
      It's much harder than the bmw to control in my experience but I could never get a decent tune for it...huge respect to these drivers getting 2:14-16s and doing it with tc 0-1 🙏🏼🫡
