Your cat stole the show 🤣 Nice video! Over the winter I picked up an EE 50 degree synthetic - nice quilt just haven't had a chance to get out. You got a nice collection going for various options.
There are a lot of things I like about this video. 1: cat 2: palm tree tee shirt 3: beard 4: hammock quilts 5: moose hat 6: seth's admiration for hammock quilts 7: cat
Seth, I have two quilts a 10 Degree down quilt and a 40 Degree Synthetic quilt. Both are from Enlightened Equipment. As a ground dweller, I also have a high R-Value sleeping pad, the Thermarest XTherm. Like you say, having options, which can be combined or layered, is the best thing about the quilts. Your cat is quite the climber!
@@RhodySeth I’m not proud of it, but I’m currently trying to convince my kids a “virtual” firework show is perfectly normal… I mean we watch the ball drop on TV right… just like new years, also 🇺🇸
@@RhodySeth I’m still waiting for the ice hurricane… I mean ice and a hurricane, and you can write your own ticket.. If I’m gonna be miserable I want everyone to be miserable with me :)
Nice pad. I dig the wall color. I ended up going with pretty much all Hammock Gear when there were deals. Excellent value. Love their stuff. I'm using their hammock & tarps too. Their down pillow and down hood are pretty great too. I could use a 40 deg top quilt for warmer temps but may go with a cheap Amazon down blanket. Thanks!
You have a kitty!! LOL...looking for some camera time too! Some great stuff there...get no rest in a hammock myself, but sure makes for lighter packing. Great options. Bruce and Otis
quilts quilts glorious quilts!!! some cracking gear there Seth. No tress here in Scotland in the mountains so never tried the old swing hammock!!! Paulo
Well you convinced me a while ago and now I dig Hammock camping. I have a HG top quilt and a UGQ under (Found bargain hunting) and am as toasty as toasty can be even in the cold. Now I need a phoenix for those between times.
Good stuff. I personally have really liked Outdoor Vitals products. I have a 15 deg underquilt and a 0 degree and 30 degree over quilt. Main issue is that I tend to be TOO warm so I wake up and have to vent out some heat frequently. Thinking about getting a 40 degree under quilt for warmer temp usage. If I combine that with the 15 degree, it would probably get me down to 0, don't cha think?

Yes, the 40° is a nice addition and worked well on my outing to Carrabassett Valley this past weekend. Not that it was cold but I was comfy for sure!

Lots of good things. The cats are wild cards but enjoyable company all the same.
Nice setup. Thank you for sharing 👍
Thank you my friend.

Options can make all the difference. Thanks John!

@@laffitteoutdoors it’s been raining here and it’s wet out. The sky is clearing but my appetite to sit in a wet field is nil.

Not familiar with hammock camping so this was very interesting and informative Seth 🤠👍
Nice job

Thanks Simon!

Thanks for the comments - yeah, I've taken advantage of their holiday deals when I can. Looking forward to testing out the 40°!

Two cats actually. Brother and sister. Can you spot the differences?
@@RhodySeth LOL...sure didn't notice...I just thought it was funny that at the beginning one could only see the little tip of tail!

No trees - the one drawback of Scotland. But that's also what makes it incredible! I'd make the trade though!
@@RhodySeth house swap 👍👍👍 how good would that be! An entire month in Bonnie Scotland 🏴
Congratulations on 1k buddy and happy 4th 🎉 Hope you guys stay safe and keep all your appendages during fire work activities 😂
Thanks! I leave the minor explosives to others and enjoy from a distance. 😆
I'm so sorry, missed the video content - was busy looking at cats 😍
I also locked them upstairs but decided to give them a chance. They behaved...fairly well.

Yeah! Looking forward to getting back up to the mountains this weekend (though it may be a wet one).
@@RhodySeth I was thinking about heading up myself. Gonna sit down at the computer tonight and see what I come up with.
I got to try some hammock camping and ditch the Tent!
Give it a shot! I never slept great in a tent. It's taken a while but I'm finally very comfy when I sleep in my hammock!
I need to get a hammock!
Yeah, get after it!
Where’s the Athletic Beer promo? 😃
Ha! I’m not hocking it in every video! 😆
I've had great experience with Jack's r better too. They rushed me a quilt for a trip
I'll keep them in mind!

Yeah I think it would. I don't know the formula for stacking quilts but if you put a 15° and 40° together, that should get you to 0°.
