Thanks for sharing. Recently retired myself and rediscovered camping (especially enjoy winter hot-tenting). Would love to get a hammock set-up. Great to see/hear what works for you. Keep having fun out there and all the best from Canada!
No, I haven't, but I think I will. Thanks for the tip.The self inflating pad doesn't stay under me quite as well in the hammock as it does on a flat surface. I'm not sure if it is the mummy shape or the materials, but it has been one piece of the kit that seemed ripe for change.
totally agree, winter is the best time to go.
Yeah, it's definitely my favorite.
Fun stuff! Was hard to hear you talking at a few points, though.
Yeah, those conditions challenged me physically as well as me technically.

It's really nice to see people discovering new ways to enjoy the outdoors! Enjoy your retirement.
nice video really enjoyed watching it
Glad you enjoyed it. That one was really fun to make, too.
The only part of this that looks appealing to me is the fire burning in the wood stove. 😂
Yeah, it kind of went downhill from there, didn't it?
I found a closed cell foam pad is warmer than an insulated inflatable mattress in my hammock. Have you tried that yet?
