    I’ve got 3 top quilts and 3 under quilts from HG, some Econ and some premium. Best quilts out there!

    Thanks for the long term review! About to order a 20F, even with how much more it costs these days it still competes with anything else i can find 😅

      Thank you for the comment and for subscribing . I hope you enjoy the videos. FYI Hammock gear quilts are showing no signs of wear, still going strong.

    Here so many people say you need different quilts for different times of the year. Think about the 20 degree quilt for 3 season in New England. What do you think?

    • @johnnyb8924
      @johnnyb8924  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 20* quits are definitely for 3 seasons, I did use it in the winter when the night time temperature got down to 18* and I slept great and I wore just wool socks and wool top and bottom long underwear. My quilts have 2 extra ounces so I’m sure I could get down to 10*: if you plan on doing any winter camping below 10* I would get another bottom and top quilt maybe a 0* from Hammock Gear. Thanks for watching the video, hope this helped.

    Thank you! Why did you chose the overstuff instead of going with the 850 premium?

      hopefully I was saving $ at the time and it was the 1st time buying from them . now i know that the economy is a good buy and it works and last . I just bought 0* top & bottom economy quilts and used them on my last trip (silver lake wilderness area) . can't go wrong with ether economy or premium , I just saved some money . thanks for watching

    Thanks for the review. Jst ordered a Chameleon from Dutchware to replace my tent on bike tours. Planning a trip this summer around Korea, where I live. Been wondering whether I would need a bottom quilt as the summers are very hot and humid here. Hammock Gears Econ. line certainly seem the best to on the market for the price.
    You mentioned you use your top and bottom quilts all year round including summer. Just wondering what temps you get in the summer?
    Cheers :)

      my understanding is we have almost the same type of climate as
      Korea , summer can get up in the high 90's F. and very humid . sometimes I sleep on top of my quilt. let the bottom quilt hang low , still rather have it with me than not. thank for watching the video David , love to see your trip . I'll have to check out your channel

      I live in Mississippi so it is very hot and humid here as well. Yes, you will still need some type of under quilt in warmer weather. I use the Hammock Gear Economy Phoenix for my warm season quilt and have been very pleased with it.

      Derek , thanks for watching. If you ordered a 20* quilt, write me back and tell me the lowest temp you got it down too . that’s my next goal to get in the Adirondacks this winter and see how low it will go. Congratulations on your purchase

      I like to go to the store and look and touch items before I buy them ,so buying on line I feel its a risk . that's why I made the video . Hammock Gear isn't a risk . I just received an order from them a 0' top and bottom quit . I hope it help , thanks for watching
