I am a nephrologist and kidney doctor who believes that the best tool to reduce the burden of kidney disease globally is not medication, lab tests, or even genetics research. Instead, knowledge of kidney disease can best protect our kidneys.
This channel is part of the kidney disease awareness project I have worked on for years. It started with long conversations with kidney patients in the office and hospital. During these conversations, I was perplexed to see patients’ lack of knowledge about their kidney disease.
To fill this gap, I developed a blog for kidney disease patients, “Kidneyblogs.com,” where patients could find the correct information-and access a nephrologist for kidney-related questions. But then, I realized that not all Urdu- and Hindi-speaking patients could read English, and many preferred listening. This revelation led to the formation of the TH-cam channel you will explore.

I'm 35, m, with iga nephropathy, eGFR 32-33, managing well for the last 2 years, PCR is stable at 0.2-0.22, Creatinine is stable at 2.2-2.4, I have quit smoking after 15 years of smoking 10 🚬 daily, with the help of champix, reduced weight and now my bmi is 25-26, I used rebylsis. I'm doing brisk walk daily for 30-40 minutes. Eating healthy, avoiding salt, potassium, red meat. Eating 50-60 gram protein only on daily basis. Sleeping well. 6-7 hours each night. My Labs are fine currently, everything is under acceptable range, uric acid, vitamin D, Potassium, Bicarbonate and others. If I keep going like this, and no other abnormalities happen, by which age will I need dialysis. Just want to get an idea. My cholesterol is also fine. I did heart echo and stress tests. Both were fine. I also did lungs testing through pulmonolists, currently lungs are also fine, Alhumdulillah

Janab i am glad that you are taking you condition seriously and keep up a healthy lifestyle, which we all should do.
As for the survival of your kidneys, it depends on the rate of fall of eGFR per year, say your GFR is now 39 ml/min, if it falls less than 2ml/min per year, your kidneys should technically last about at least 20 years or so, give and take, becasue it would take about 20 years to reach eGFR of 10 or less when you would need dialysis. But again this is an idea situation all CKD patients should aim for. Sometimes, disesases like IgA flare up in the middle and cause a rapid decline in Kidney function. But our job is to plan, work, and hope for the best. Good luck with your CKD. Keep up the good work.
Sir my assistants dont do anything to the medicines, I make any changes if I have to. agar ap ka matlab hai ap say history laitay waqt aisa hoa tha tu ye koi waja nahi hai dobara rabta karnay ki. In cheezon ko feedback day kar improve kia jata hai, in say door nahi baga jata.

My name is Jawad , age 67 years & weight 70kg with height 5 ft 11 inches. I am CKD patient since 3 years. Main cause of kidney problem was BP. Now BP is under control and have no diabetes.
I am using kidney multivitamin, soda mint and BP medicines. So Creatinine is oscillating btw 1.5 to 1.7.
All electrolytes are under control but urine protein one month ago recorded o.25. strictly working on given diet plan.
In this case what would you suggest to avoid further damage.
Thanks for sharing your experience. In this case, I am not sure what diet restrcitions you are following becasue you dont need any dietary restrictions except a healthy diet. Plus please make sure you are on both kidney protective mediciens to slow down the progression of your kidney disease.

Sir I have been diagnosed with protein urea for the last 9 month , my EGFR is110 sr.creatinine is.08 & other kidney function are also in range,At present I am taking olimesartan medoxomil 40 one tab at night. My maximum protein urea was tested 300 but for the last 3 month it is at 130 . can my disease be reversed?

I dont think so but I am not aware of any such link. Look for more common causes like high blood pressure, poor lifestyle, diabetes, pain medicines.
