I am a nephrologist and kidney doctor who believes that the best tool to reduce the burden of kidney disease globally is not medication, lab tests, or even genetics research. Instead, knowledge of kidney disease can best protect our kidneys.
This channel is part of the kidney disease awareness project I have worked on for years. It started with long conversations with kidney patients in the office and hospital. During these conversations, I was perplexed to see patients’ lack of knowledge about their kidney disease.
To fill this gap, I developed a blog for kidney disease patients, “Kidneyblogs.com,” where patients could find the correct information-and access a nephrologist for kidney-related questions. But then, I realized that not all Urdu- and Hindi-speaking patients could read English, and many preferred listening. This revelation led to the formation of the TH-cam channel you will explore.

Hello doctor last year my cretanine was 1.44 with no protein. In 2024 my cretanine increase to 1.9 with protein 1++. I performed biopsy and it came that I am having IgA nephropathy along with lung infection. No BP , No diabetes. BMI under control.
Treatment is IgA + ATT for 6 months ..
Medicines are
1. Omnacortil - 35mg
2. Shelcal
3. Telma 20 once a day
4. Septran 400/80- thrice a week
5. Famocid
Apart from this ATT medicine doses in parallel.

Need to educate people about kidney disease symptoms like nausea weakness. Early symptoms are mostly ignored by people that ultimately leads to advanced disease .
Nausea and weakness is a late symptom. The only early sign and symptom is proteinuria and hig blood pressure.

Please make video on iga nephropathy and how to spent rest of life with this disease. I am living with this since 9 years, using 8mg candesartan a day since last 8 years. Now since last 5 months 24 hour protein has increased upto 0.48mg so nephrologist prescribed one Apo-Dapagliflozin 10mg a day. Took it for 3 months and went for 24 hr protein but result is same as 0.48 mg, so nephrologist said it takes time, come after 3 month again with 24 hr protein report.

Plus proteinuria of 400mg is not too bad. Just keep your lifestyle healthy and hope for the best. It is possible that your proteinuria may never come within normal range of less than 200mg. So dont worry about it as such.

Could you pls explain how..? Since you said that for ckd patient GFR drops faster than a healthier person.. so by this logic after a time, GFR of ckd patient will reach around 15 or below as well. Then how he/ she can survive w/o Dialysis or transplant
i have iga nephropathy which is crescentic and have 20% scarring, creatnine is around 0.9 since 2-3 years and egfr is above 90 .. i am taking irbesartan 300mg .. there used to be protein to creatnine ratio of 0.35 and hamteuria but when i checked 1 month ago the 24 hr urine showed no any protein and hameturia and my nephrologist says its mild ckd ..what is possibility of dailysis in long run for me.. can i live without dailysis for rest of my life or at lest 10 years?? can person go to ckd stage 1st to 5th in very short time??

Ji only a few patients ever need dialysis. A CKD 3 at age 40 has good chances of dying without ever needing dialysis. I will explore these topics in the coming videos.
