I am a nephrologist and kidney doctor who believes that the best tool to reduce the burden of kidney disease globally is not medication, lab tests, or even genetics research. Instead, knowledge of kidney disease can best protect our kidneys.
This channel is part of the kidney disease awareness project I have worked on for years. It started with long conversations with kidney patients in the office and hospital. During these conversations, I was perplexed to see patients’ lack of knowledge about their kidney disease.
To fill this gap, I developed a blog for kidney disease patients, “Kidneyblogs.com,” where patients could find the correct information-and access a nephrologist for kidney-related questions. But then, I realized that not all Urdu- and Hindi-speaking patients could read English, and many preferred listening. This revelation led to the formation of the TH-cam channel you will explore.

I am a doctor too, n i got this same behaviour from one nephrologist i visited. He was continuously blaming the fact k ap doctor hen or apny ye negligence ki hai, ab bhugten.. this phase in my life is teaching me so much not only as a patient but as a doctor too that i will definitely apply when i interact with my patients...

I am sorry that you had to face such a doctor. I hope we can improve our own attitude and other doctors will have no choice.
I have done some of it in this video. As to prognosis, it depends on how early the disease is detected and treated with steroids.

We are 4 brothers on HD labeled CKD but not a single patient is diagnosed yet. My mother was also CKD with 2 water hydro nephritis ( دو پانی کی تھیلیاں) in one kidney. Is our CKD genetics issue? No one of us is diabetic but HTN+. We are frightened about our children

5.6 mm calculus in gallbladder.... cholelithiasis.
Few tiny 2-3 mm concretion in upper mid calyx of left kidney
Irregular cortical margin of both kidney but kidney functions normal
Few cyst on both kidney one large 15.5*14.9mm at left kidney

Many things can raise creatinine like this. I am not sure about the details of your father's illness, but you should do a new visit with your nephrologist for urgent evaluation.

AOA Dr. My mother is having proteinuria condition (3+) with 1.4 creatinine with controlled sugar and Blood pressure. I'm very concerned and want to know if it can get any better.
Wasalam. Yes proteinuria can get better. And believe me your mother’s blood sugar is not controlled. Please see a nephrologist.
Dkd patient UACR was70mcg/gm S creatinine one year before, S creatinine 1.2/100 ml that time, Now nephrologist recommended kerendia 20.dapaturn 10.Ondero5.glador 4. and Eurepa v 1/3 now my UACR report 14.9mcg /mg S creatinine,.(.90 mg/100ml) is S creatinine on Nov 2023.pl suggest about medicines are good or any alternative is requeired,

My son is 19 yrs old. He had nephrotic syndrome ( MCGN) diagnosed at the age of 4, treated with steroids and mycophenolate and in remission for the last 10 yrs. Since then his annual tests had been normal. For the last 3 yrs, his creatinine has been increasing by 0.1 ever year. Creatinine now is 1.3( last value was 1.1 in May, 2023.)
Microalbumin creatinine urine ratio in normal, calcium 9.9, urine analysis normal. His weight 55 and height 180 cm.
I would appreciate your valuable opinion.

dr sb i am from islamabad and now in ssudia dammam with my sonafter performing umra i am ckd patient since two year i am 83 yesrs old my critinine is 3...3.5 for last two years i am also patient of enlarged prostate after umra i lost a medicine🎉max flow0.4 i instead i used 1 tab gouric 40 mg for 10 days my foot is bit swallowed is it for using gouric instead of max flow i am also fasting should i continue iiif i discontnue go uric and ta ke max flow will this swallow foot or take any other med
You should resume taking your flomax. Gouric has nothing to do with flomax. And please try to avoid such experiments with your medicines. You should rather come back to Pakistan, see your nephrologist, check all your blood work, and restart all your medicines.
Dr. Sahb must show lamp of hope. If disease is not curable than too try to not tell actual dangerous picture of cause directly to paticient.
I respectfully disagree, a patient must know what his disease is, it is his fundamental right and the patient should try to understand it.

Hi,
5 months ago suddenly blood came in my urine whole night, then did sonography and found stone is passed. Took trearment but after 5 days fever started... all reports were normal so 20 days I was in fever. Then did CT scan and found pylonephritis in both the kidneys. Took 14days antibiotics. But till now I have continuous back pain.. don't understand what to do
