    Love the show great event. I do however find it hard to believe that some of these schools do not work very much on Ford's and Mopar. Mostly SBC. What a shame. The sbc is still being promoted as "the" small block. Yet I am seeing more and more Ford's at the speed shops and with the Coyote pushing bigger numbers than the LS engines, for about the same price. The other brands look to have more to offer. That is one reason I did not go to any of these schools. They are still living in the past.

    If u are making 392hp with a 347 u should quit building motors . Ive built a few 347s for foxbodys pushing 500-550hp . The smallest number i think ive ever made with a 347 is 450hp with a very cheap budget build

    The blue team won because the AFR heads flow a little more OVERALL air, especially mid lift numbers. And their overall exhaust flow is a little better than the TF heads.
    Peak flow numbers are only one data point, even with proper porting. A valve spends more time at mid lift than peak. And so with a little better OVERALL flow, they tend to make a little better OVERALL power numbers.

    • @josephtravers777

      I have the same engine as Blue Team in my car. Makes great power but ignition timing has to come down a bit to avoid detonation @ 11:1 on 93 octane. They dialed it up to 34, mine is dialed in @ 31.

    • @richdouche8253
      @richdouche8253 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@josephtravers777 Yeah, often the tune on a Dyno is not the same as in the vehicle. Plus, they may have "softened" the chambers some that wasn't mentioned in the video, or your cam timing is installed a tad more advanced, or etc etc. Who knows what all factors contribute to you needing 3 degrees less timing??

    • @josephtravers777
      @josephtravers777 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@richdouche8253 Detonation is under light loading below the dyno pull range. Doesn't ping on top end. Keeping timing low between 1500-2500 rpm on the curve necessitates the 31 degrees to get it all in @ 3500 rpm.

    That competition was decided by the higher compression in the blue teams engine. The red team should have known better, you can safely run a full point higher in compression, when you use aluminum heads, big mistake on red teams part. But a great program just the same.

    I would melt the trophy into valve covers and buy the engine. Screw it, that's one hell of a graduation. I don't know if I would win, and I certainly haven't been to Wyotech, yet, but I'd have gone with: domed pistons, bored valves and valve seats, intake porting, a tunnel ram intake manifold, 250-260 degrees at 0.050 thou and a dual plane 850cfm holley sniper. If you can get past 7500 rpm your chances of making 450 horsepower with a naturally aspirated sbf are actually not that bad. Especially with 10.5+:1 compression. At least that's what I've found with my experience.

    Exceptional Transportation: the A380
    th-cam.com/video/zBbMsXPqwsc/w-d-xo.html
    Putting together an airbus: easy. Well, you know, on a scale of 1-10, it’s be a 10. But still. You got experts doing the job. The big challenge is getting all those parts in one place to actually assemble the worlds biggest plane - the Airbus 380.
    The various parts are produced all across Europe. Getting these parts from A to B, C, D and E is the subject of our documentary today. Exceptional transportation. It’s quite awe inducing watching the wings of an A380 on the back of a very large flatbed being driven down the freeway. Wow. Is all I can say. The fuselage being loaded into the Beluga, that weird looking freight plane that opens its top and back, flown to Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, then transferred to a 60 wheeler, then a barge that hydraulically lowers its midsection when it passes under tricky bridges.
    The technology and logistics : what can I say but absolutely mind blowing. (And I thought I was good when I planned/organized/ pulled off the filming an ad with a super stuck up superstar footballer). Yeah, I got nothing on these guys.
    Technology and logistic freaks rejoice.
    Available USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, Indonesia, India, Philippines ,Malaysia, South Africa, Kenya .

      I think that’s why the red team lost because they had more compression and a lot of time in instead the blue team had less compression and a lot of timing so goes to show that sometimes pushing things to the edge isn’t always the most effective better to have good flow and good compression compared great flow high compression and too much time

    • @fast8379
      @fast8379 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@utahcountypicazospage5412 Actually the blue team had the higher cr. They were smart to go with the AFR's. I think the AFR heads are superior to the high ports in torque production which ultimately gave the blue team the edge. Would have liked to have seen the dyno printouts with the two timing adjustments to see if there was any appreciable gain.
