- Jeff and I got together to play some guitar the other day, and ended up trying out this guitar app for iPad. We put this little tune/playthrough together using Positive Grid's JamUp Pro XT app.

Fuck this is probably the most epic video ever! You bros rock
You too, bro 2.0
When is the Ola, Merrow, Loomis collab?
this comment is 10 years old lol im old
The spirit of holy Nevermore carries on ! !
Should be called attack of the maple fret boards
+judas Priest ....nice..
Wahahah
How dare you assume their wood?
Maple adds the sweetness to the sound. Way more smooth then rosewood.
I'm sorry guys but you two have to be a couple of the most awesome metal guitarist ever to walk the earth.
+SJgunguy24 They really are
no need to be sorry im sure they arent
baddasss
I feel like Loomis is amazing at combining speed and melody. There's not a lot of guys that's I've seen that fast and also have so much soul also.
Loomis Is a fucking complete guitar player. If only he would study more musical styles, he would be another Govan. A more metal one, obviously!
Christian Muenzner does that aswell
Dean Lamb as well.
Loomis + Merrow = Awesomeness!! You guys shoul'd make a whole record together!
in my 30 years of appreciating guitar this is among the best.
🔥🎸🔥🎸🔥 - ABSOLUTELY AMAZING WORK HERE BY JEFF and KEITH - 🔥🎸🔥🎸🔥
The intro is the best intro ive ever heard
I can watch this video like 3 times a day and not get bored!! I wish I could get guitar lessons from both of them \m/ 2 of my fav guitarist
You guys are living my fantasy! Much respect. Keep inspiring!!!!
So incredible to watch these guys
Another album guys. First one is still played daily.
I love how unique of a song this is. I can usually tell when Jeff plays because of his unique tone. I also love the Rhythm and how locked in they are.
I watched this video when it first came out, and still cant stop listening to it. Keith Youre just awesome, i cant wait for your co-op album with Jeff. Your riffing is something from another world, such creativity i havent seen i years
This is freaking epic, I can't stop coming back to the video to watch this.
2:02 goes so hard there aren't even words to describe it.
7 years old still one of the nastiest things i have ever herd
I still find myself coming back to the Loomis/Merrow chronicles all the time lol Its just good shit. Nasty and fucking heavy.
@Nick Arcolla Amen, Praise the holy riffs of Loomis and Merrow
This song is sick! Love these two guys together!
You can tell how much you guys just genuinely enjoy playing guitar. Mad props to both of you for your talent.
2:00 this is so fucking epic! praise the gods of metal for this pair up!
DUDE..SOMEONE...PLEASE TELL ME..WHERE I CAN DOWNLOAD THIS SONG
These guys are so in sync...incredible. Really glad I discovered their music.
Yeah...it shows you the best music in the world is a collaboration. Not 1 guy doing it all himself. Conquering Dystopia is so awesome.
Sick. This has been my favorite song you 2 have done so far. I guess because it's the 2 of you playing an entire song together and not just a guest solo. Amazing! I hope the 2 of you release more entire songs together.
i was actually messing around with the intro to fade to black the other day, and "wrote" a riff that i thought sounded SICK...was almost the exact same thing as the intro to this song. Then i go along and discover Loomis and Merrow and hear this and realize that this was uploaded a good 2 years ago and that im not as original or creative as i thought. :|
Reed Parker
Well if you came up with it without hearing this riff then you are as creative as you thought.
Its metal dude, Its all the same thing.
We are all influenced by the same thing, and stepping stones have been made for us.
If someone copies a riff but in a different tuning, is it really copying?
Imagine they both chose fishing as a hobby when they were 8, instead of playing these banjo's, haha
Great work guys ! One of the best things i've heard and both your styles complete each other so well...
One of the best songs!
New G3 line up... Loomis - Merrow - Englund
:D
Loomis needs to partner up with Broderick again!
TheEvilEmpire, no he doesn’t. Broderick May be a technically better guitarist than Keith, but he doesn’t write songs nearly as well as Keith.
Nope, I don't think the world could handle that. :)
@@tromboneman4517 Shaddup you!! You want to judge? Go do Dancing with the Stars. Kidding of course, lol
bitburg40, I’d love to judge something.
Sounds great. Loved it.
very inspiring playing. i am new to sevenstring as i just got 2, this makes me glad i made the switch. :) Jeff loomis is sick! Keith is the rythm master for metal. Crazy team
Anyone wanna buy a guitar? After watching this, I see there is no point in even trying anymore. Game. Set. Match.
Ahh, trolling I see.
Schpudd I don't get that guy. This shit encourages me every day to play heavier and heavier. Sometimes I am surprised how I've improved since I started 5 years ago. I can play some of my favorites. And that's pretty much what I wanted. You don't have to be a musical genius to play an instrument.
Thane Krios exactly, good attitude
JoeyMicknot Thanks man.
What kind of guitar?????
The 35 of you that voted this video down are pathetic...and have no taste in metal.
+J Brooks Even my friend that listen to hard rock mostly and doesn't like metal because it's too heavy said that it's awsome
Justin biebers fan I assume
No no, I think they are just jealous of their skills 😅
probably tube amp purists. In saying that, I still love my Mesa. Hahahaha
holy shit, this is the best thing I've heard in quite a while
Hey Keith, this is EXACTLY the type of stuff that you may remember I encouraged you and Jeff to do some months ago. I hope there is a lot more coming and that you guys will do what I hoped and that is to create an incredible album of death metal/shred that will stand the guitar world on its ear. KILLER!!
Jeff pisses on Marty right here ..
On Marty Friedman?????
Actually "Marty's shoe outlet" let's leave Friedman out of this ...
David Aghamalyan This is actually a mockery of the ,Perpetual Burn" post that got 200 comments . The post was "Jeff pisses on Yngwie right here " All the" Yngwie racists" got a kick out of it for some reason!?
Actually Jeff uses a 7 string guitar and is super heavy in the rhythm
All these guitarists are great and stylistically different from one an other .Marty Friedman is and amazing guitarist ."Thunder March " "Desert Island " "Floating World" ,just amazing
Yeap man you just mentioned my favorite songs let me add forbidden city! I think Marty contributed a lot he is very melodic and has its won style! Jason becker told during the interview that he learnt a lot from Marty and that when he met him he realized he is not that good! Regrarding Yngwie malmsteen I don't like his music that much but his improvisations during the concerts are just kicking ass! I haven't seen anyone to improvise that well!
David Aghamalyan
Marty really knew how to arrange songs, and Riffs which Jason picked up on .
Live ,Yngwie is a captivating performer . He works of the audience energy , and is amazing !
Right on ,bro!
.
guitars with a proper low end, how it should be! So tired of thin and super dry guitars man.
Never gets old
I wish I could meet these guys. So cool and humble.
these horrible players don't play well together at all. I am so much better and ten times faster. : D
***** absof'inglutely. They are awesome.
*****
Very. : )
+MyworstEnemy nice jock mate lol
I can outplay both of them when I sleep
MyworstEnemy, me too. I don’t even play guitar and I can play way better than them.

Thats so awsome!
It was awsome i cant believe jam up sounds so good

Great stuff! It's amazing where things are going these days with regards to recording. You can get some great tones with very little expense. Thanks for all of your demos as well. They are great!
Just great!!!

I just noticed how awesome Keith's shoes are. Beast.

That staccato trem picking breakdown was fucking gnarly.

Awesome riffs !
Insane players!
Perfection.
Holy salamander cuddlefish please do more we need more!
That is one tight-ass song man! Heavy as hell. \m/
For some reason I hear a little Jesu shoe gaze in the beginning. Absolutely crushing afterwards.
Love these licks. especially the one that's also played at the very end and the one at 2:07.
And of course the undoubted soloing skills of jeff.
As much as I love the loomis Jacksons, there is some understated beauty in the old schecters. The good days when Warrel walked with us.
WTF? This is the best damn tune i ever heard ! Now i can die in peace, cuz my wish came true!
Two of my favorite artists together! Awesome with cherry on the top!
best new super artist mash up in the progress
Love Keith's Guitar !
amazing. i love this :) shred on!!!
:O AWESOME JAM!!!
Such creative playing! The part starting at 1:48 was amazing.
Great contribution from Jeff Loomis, the Master Guitar Virtuoso
I love it :D
