    Killer bass! His ESP signature models looked great too

    This bass is awesome, simplicity but still many options for tone, whatever style you're playing. He's right, a punch in the face. Nice one Charvel.

    Looks awesome my issue is the price definitely not affordable if I saved up for a year I wouldn't be able to afford this bass and I'm referring to the over seas version plus there's not a spec on here that I would pay over 800 for

    I want to purchase a Frank Bello signature model, but as soon as I see the battery cover on the back, that's it. Active pickups are an extra step in the signal chain I will never take.

      For the money the Schecter model T Session basses are some of the best out there!!!!! I own one and for 500 bucks that I paid for it is WAY under rated!!!!

      If you want the bells and whistles go for Schecter, if you need a solid bass go for this

    loved Frank ever since I was a kid in the 1980s listening to Among the Living on my walkman. His tone and playing has always been outstanding.

    Why the fuzz pedal? Not many people use it that often , I'd rather hear it clean first

    They should have added a ATC circuit from EMG !!!!(active tone control/boost)....as you turn it up it boosts the lows and highs and scoops the mids from one tone pot!!!!

    • @nayr87
      @nayr87 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats called the EMG EXB the pot that does the exact opposite is the VMC, theres also a BTC that is a boost cut of bass and treble. All can be used together!!!

    The bridge is kick ass, but it's not BADASS.

  • @tonybp

    I just tried one, not worth the price. Also, it's called a pickguard for a reason, unless you pluck near the neck the placement makes no sense. It's a gimmick bass.

    • @stevennash4168
      @stevennash4168 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      It’s a pickguard/scratch plate modelled after the one Fender made for the very first Pbass in 1951. I’m not sure why you’d think the bass is a gimmick either? It has features of the Fender elite series like the truss wheel, compound radius and carbon fibre reinforced neck. All great features.

    • @francoishtzl157
      @francoishtzl157 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it is based on a telecaster bass I think. I have personally never touch a pickguard with my pick (or maybe when I start bass. And didn't know how to play.)

    Frank said exactly the same thing a few years ago with ESP, and he said the same thing again more than 10 years ago when he was with Fender 🤣 and he will say the same thing again in a few years when he leaves Charvel for another company 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @OonaEskeli
      @OonaEskeli หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well he is with Spector now haha! I do like Frank's playing and he seems like a good dude but this extensive switching of companies does seem a bit.. Weird? I mean obviously an artist can change their opinions but it is definitely not common to have several different sigs with different companies (especially after praising every company so much every time only to leave them after some time..)
