The CELTIC SOCIAL CLUB has been touring stages, festivals, studios and continents for five years now, with three albums and two live shows today. A mighty journey for a group which was to be only a one-shot in creation at the largest french festival Les Vieilles Charrues, in July 2014, and has not been able to stop since.
The energy, the desire and the freshness will have been the strongest for this meeting of backpackers, gathered around a name, THE CELTIC SOCIAL CLUB, and a simple artistic program: to get moving the traditional « CELTIC »music (Brittany, Ireland, Scotland, Asturia) by rubbing it with rock, pop, folk and groove. Seven experienced artists, with different backgrounds and cultures, united to reinvent themselves in complementarity and in a musical commando, becoming this authentic "band" now impossible to stop on its streak.
Cinq années déjà que le CELTIC SOCIAL CLUB sillonne les scènes, festivals, studios et continents, avec aujourd'hui trois albums et deux live au compteur. Sacré parcours pour un groupe qui ne devait être qu'un one-shot en création au festival des Vieilles Charrues, en juillet 2014, et n'a pas pu s'arrêter depuis.
L'énergie, l'envie et la fraîcheur auront donc été les plus forts pour cette réunion de baroudeurs, rassemblés autour d'un nom, THE CELTIC SOCIAL CLUB, et d'un programme artistique simple : faire avancer la musique traditionnelle « celte » (Bretagne, Irlande, Ecosse, Asturie) en la frottant au rock, à la pop, au folk et au groove. Sept artistes chevronnés, aux parcours et cultures différentes, réunis pour se réinventer en complémentarité et en commando musical, devenant cet authentique « band » désormais impossible à stopper sur sa lancée.
