We headed to Marina South for some fishing today and managed to get a good sized Fingermark Snapper (Ang Chor). Did a catch and cook at home where half of it was steamed and the other half used to cook fish head curry!
Hello! We are a bunch of fishermen in Singapore who enjoy fishing and catch-and-cook, and we make vlogs of our adventures.

Thanks for watching! Do let us know if there are better ways to cook this fish (or fish in general) as we are still new to cooking!

Well slowly u will get better in cooking.. when i saw the cooking part i smile to the thought that i was when i first learn cooking.. 😅 i was a teen back then and now im reaching my 40s 😄 just some tips.. For curry paste it will be alot better DIY rather than instant, its better to get the fish head straight in the curry rather then steam it first, that way the fish head will absorb all the curry flavours.. maybe watch some youtube videos how to cook curry fish head.. by the look of the fish head its over cooked 😅 for steaming it will be alot better if u steam the fish along with the soya sauce on the fish... kudos guys.. great video of catch and cook i enjoyed every moment of it. Thanks for sharing 😊

Zamchisio thanks for the tips!! Yup I have been watching some youtube videos on cooking as I haven’t really cooked fish before. Fish head curry is indeed best DIY, would love to try it someday when I have more time and the ingredients!

Consider using circle hooks when fishing. It will minimise the fish swallowing the hooks and gills set. Tight lines..👍👍✌✌

Finger mark snapper we call as jenahak for size 1.5kg & above. Juvenile we call as tetanda because it has a mark.

    • @JivesFishing

If never cast far will sangkot. When reeling in do remember to reel fast. Exact location is left side of Marina Bay Cruise Centre or can walk from Marina South Pier MRT station (end of red line). Happy fishing!

Kyaa no worries. This place is good for squid especially in the evening; there are usually people eging at the cruise centre side and they are really good at it. You can watch how they do it and follow haha. Other places to try would be Lab jetty, Changi Boardwalk, Punggol jetty/Punggol End.
