- Season 5 Episode 4
This week on Legendary Adventures Podcast my playthrough of The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time takes us to Zora's domain -- but only after we seek happiness by selling masks and meet a few Great Fairies.
Legendary Adventures is a Legend of Zelda playthrough podcast. I’m exploring the evolution of the Zelda game series by playing through each game in release order, excluding spin-offs and multi-player focused releases. Each season focuses on one game in the series. Legendary Adventures was conceived and launched as an audio podcast. I am making video versions of episodes as I am able.
You can listen to all my episodes by subscribing to the podcast.

I use Farore's Wind quite a bit. Its a great way to save time. In the Forest Temple for example, setting it in the second Stalfos room after you get the Bow is perfect as you backtrack to get the Red Poe and some keys you couldn't get until you had the Bow. In the Fire Temple its good for faster backtracking at the top floor of the maze room, especially if you take the elevator to the "secret room." I think the only dungeons I don't use Farore's Wind at least once are Jabu-Jabu's Belly and the Spirit Temple.
the king zora waddle loops in my head more often than i'd like to admit
I never thought of the five back rooms as being the inside of the tail and always thought they were meant to be the lower intestines. I always thought maybe Jabu-Jabu had multiple stomachs or something or that the room where you first fine Princess Ruto is Jabu-Jabu's actual stomach. I never imaged it to be the room below.
There is definitely room from multiple interpretations of Jabu Jabu's anatomy
I’ve never even thought about it like that lol. Place just seems to big for it to actually be inside jabu
King Zora taking his time was always painstaking, even if we just needed to be patient.
I'm liking this series a lot!
I never had problems getting to lord Jabu Jabu that I can recall, but I DEFINITELY had issues navigating the insides. The primary issue came from, I believe, the central room where you drop down to room below and have to drop down the correct hole in order to land on the correct place. I fell down the wrong hole SO many times, as I simply couldn't grasp the connection between above amd below. I was very young back then so I think I just didn't have the "3D" thinking necessary in order to put it all together, but my attempts were many and fruitless.
This must have been the issue, because I remember that once I finally got the boomerang the temple was practically linear for me- I totally understood where each newly opened path was and how I should get there (funnily enough dropping down the hole opened by the removal of the final tentacle was easy to understand, maybe because it's absence in the central room stood out so much), and aside from chasing the giant Octorok for sooo looong, the rest of the dungeon was more or less a cake-walk.
I would also like to add that Ruto is best girl, but this video is probably not the forum for that discussion.
Recently discovered this channel. Great work, the videos are super informative and easy to listen to!
Yeah!
Farore's wind was honestly godsend in the Water Temple. Didn't use it outside that though
I remember this dungeon was the first one to make us go "how was I supposed to figure that out???" after following the Prima guide
Awesome thing to wake up too and watch. Loving this series!
Forore’s wind was always useful if you had to stop playing the game while in a dungeon. You could play it and create a warp point- and then when you booted up the game later and you spawn at the start of the dungeon, you could warp right back to the room you were last at
I experienced it first on the Wii VC. Mostly knew what to do next by watching my dad. Love that you show how someone would do it without any help. The Zelda 2 facts are awesome!

7:36 screw you for making me sit through his dumb sound effects and him moving again always hated this part 😂😂😂
Farore's Wind can be kinda useful in the Shadow Temple since it's so linear. Like you can put it outside the boss door so your don't have to take the boat if he kills you
I love the content! Keep it coming!
To be honest i always thought of Jabu as the weakest dungeon not saying its bad just i think its a okay dungeon and a bit boring to me. (Also woo new video! another great edited video as always!)
Farore's Wind should have had no magic cost, and should have had some suggestions on where to use it in Jabu Jabu's belly, like before that annoying jump in the three story room.
Its a great feature, but players would definitely rather save their magic.
I loved using the Boomerang in this dungeon and thought it's a shame it's effectively useless immediately after this section of the game as Adult Link can't use it. When you have to do the Young Link sections of the Spirit Temple I end up forgetting the Boomerang exists as I've not been able to use it for 4 dungeons
I've been enjoying the series a lot. It's been a long time since I've actually wanted to watch something on TH-cam. However, as someone who plays through OoT frequently, the gameplay is a little hard to watch sometimes lol
