That Buick GS California @ 14:00 is my favorite car in this video. They only made 1,577 Buick GS California's. Pretty neat car. The Buick Wildcat with the factory tach in it is very neat too!

Greetings from CT. When I was a kid I did haying with a friend whose grandmother lived on a farm. His great uncle Gene still drove a wagon around town with a horse.
They put a big frame over the wagon that extended over each side about 4 feet. We pitched the hay onto the wagon with pitch forks until it was a big pile. We then drove the wagon over to Gene’s barn, pulled by his horse, Chubby, and we then pitched hay into the hayloft. When the hay got down to the level of the frame Gene shouted “half off!” . At this time Gene was probably in his eighties. I was thirteen. I’m glad I got to see that one day just like the old days.

That Delco Heat box at the 11 minute mark is an old coal stoker box. You fill the box with coal and a motor would turn an auger the fed the coal into the furnace. That was high tech for its time! I remember filling our stoker after I got home from school every winter back in the 1960s.

Love the 66ish Buick Wildcats. My Grandmother had one when I was a kid. We sold it as a running car for junk when I was a teenager. I kick myself everyday for that. The videos of this farm are awesome.

11:25 That's a stoker for an old coal furnace. You fill it with coal and it automatically feeds it into the furnace so you don't have to get up in the middle of the night and shovel it manually.

My favorite car in the yard was the "1963 Buick Wildcat" Big Block 401 cubic inch V-8, High Compression @ 10:01, 2dr, white and tan out, tan interior with bucket seats & center console floor shift. This car did not look that bad, I would restore it to running and driving condition first, then finish it over a five-year period. I have owned an alike car back in the mid-'70s, I can tell you from experience this generation of Buicks was built to last and the performance was an eye-opener. It was called a gentleman's sports car, optional equipment eg. 3:42 gear & positraction, Front and rear sway bars, HD shocks, and stiffer springs were available. There were some nice Buick`s at this farm, lots of good parts that are hard to find these days. I would not scrap these, sell them as restoration projects or parts cars.

Man watching these videos bring back old memories of finding old cars and fixing them up. Everything you are showing is so good to see. I always liked the old vintage tractors and trucks too. I had over 150 muscle cars during my life. I am an old man now but thanks for these videos. It's like treasure hunting to me. Had to sell most of my cars, old guitars tractors and such due to medical bills and helping family. Still fun to watch your videos .Thanks for posting them.

I had a 1980 Datsun 210 hatchback I bought second hand and it was a rusty thing. Very basic, with a small pushrod four and five speed. No AC. I cleaned it up and put shocks & brakes on it. Didn’t keep it long. It was the ultimate, cheap, stripped-down get around town buggy. So a pizza delivery guy bought it. Perfect for that!

Just finished all 3 videos and you have some awesome vehicles there! A lot of the bodies just have surface rust and can be made into resto-mods with new frames and power trains. You could make a fortune selling just the parts off of some of the old IH trucks alone that are too far gone to save. I hope you do more detailed vlogs on the heavy duty trucks and the KB IH bus.

Really liked everything I have seen at this place, but those Peugeot 504 wagons were the very last thing i expected to see. Back in 1976 I purchased one exactly the same and it was white and with diesel engine too. I also passed my driving test in a Peugeot 404 wagon which was the preceeding model range to the 504. Any old Peugeot models are highly collectable now here in the UK.
It will be interesting to see what happens next.
Many thanks for your videos, they are very entertaining.

Yes, save the old rusty split window bus and a panel van. Those was scrapped alot and may be the rarest ones today :)
The Peugeot 504 won the best to drive cars back in the days so it is likely good to drive. I never did drive one or sit in one, but i know a friend of dad did own one.

Those Peugeot wagons are just about bulletproof. If you look under the back, it is a solid axle with 2 springs and 2 shocks per wheel. They were made to withstand what passes for roads in Africa. The diesel engines are just as rugged. They will go through 3 sets of rings before a set of bearings are needed. The ones made before 1976 (?) had wet sleeve engines, where the cylinder sleeves were replicable. The wagons tended to have a firm ride, but the sedans had independent rear suspension, and it seemed like about 2 feet of suspension travel. I could drive my '73 504 sedan at 20 mph over speed bumps and basically not feel them. My Dad was surprised at how it rode better than his '75 Cadillac.

I know that you want to clear and clean the property but don't be hasty as the stuff there has a lot of value if one can see it and the best I know is to clear a spot off and make sure that gravel or something doesn't take to grass and weeds coming right back. then if possible sort by age and model. I don't think you would nessasarally need to make all chev in one and all buick in another but just kinda clear out the trash as you go so the best side shows its possibilities. Like say that bigger international truck with the fender torn near off could get sorted a little and in amongst other internationals where the right pieces are would show its chance at a revival or just good for parts, It might get saved as the international has a better chance now than when new. Internationals when I was a kid some seventy years ago was so cheap that you had money for a tractor or whatever else might be needed on the farm. Short on luxury but long on handy and dependability. I bought a new ford truck in 66 and then drove to work everyday in it. Later I saw a international and that was not a good year in popularity for them. It was half the price and five years later was still going on a friend of mines farm. My rig was worn out and needed to be replaced or heavy repairs to engine trans and some dents so it went as a trade in on the next one. At that time I was young and didn't think much on it but as the years go by, I saw that 66 international still being used on that farm.... yes it had a new engine and other stuff to keep going but it really had started to grow on me the value of the international. I bought a big rig, a conventional that was the international eagle and man oh man was it nice. After I drove the wheels of it on coast to coast, I sold it to a guy who still has it to this day and yes its several engines an other parts later... but it still looks real good. Its been painted many times and what not as they get used hard and show it if you don't take care of them. I surely would try for a farm side of a yard where the tractors and other farm stuff could go. Some of it is just scrap for sure. Thats why sorting stuff and making a scrap pile that makes it to scrap works and good steel or material could get stored. Doesn't look like many places out of the weather that stuff like that can be found to buy in the winter months but I don't see it as a high volume of sales either. I just see a lot more of it saved and restored by someone. Of course that would help you decide what project that you might take on or start one with someone that has knowledge of how to do it . My comment is too long I'm sure but get the feeling that if you did sell some of it that maybe enough to free up money for your own stuff. Now one thing I found out about starting old rigs is that find what it takes to make it look like someone else can do and money offers come quick as those buyers like to finish and then say "LOOK at what I built" when all they did was maybe a engine to get mobile and a paint job. I had some old ford cars that were straight but four doors an they were fairly complete. I just cleaned them good, did the interior to nice.... yet not finished, and in primer. I did intend to finish each one I started but people want old cars now and so they sold for dang good money. If you just had some kind of storage, engines and transmissions, rear ends could be stored. Oddly the frames on certain rigs lend to being bought to put a old car body on. Like that highboy cab if taken care of is a hot easy sell. Ford is getting more and more popular as people who don't have the C/K 10 money to make the super sleds and other ideas people get.,they find favor to be a grocery getter for someone who just wants a nice old rig.

That rear panel door towards the end reads Fuller Septic Tank Services (couldn't read the bottom)... Enjoyed the tour!

You pass by all the interesting stuff and investigate the junk!! Is the Buick California still available?

The Road Grader might be a McCormack Deering. I've seen the names for these on the sides. Maybe. You've got some neat stuff. I think that 2 door Buick was a 63. Being a Wildcat, I'm surprised to see it with crank windows and manual locks.

That car hood that was missing the car, is an early '50's Pontiac. There called Silver Streaks. That's the trim that's on the hoods and trunks.
