    We had a similar storage building once; got a couple of cranes; unbolted the foundation bolts & lifted it up so we could slip 6" high knee walls under it. Elded up with a nice fork-lift friendly storage building for less cost than tearing it down. Fab your nkee walls ahead of time and it gets lifted in one long day.

    The really cool thing about older automobiles like you showed in this video is that a lot of them are styled to reflect current events, like airplanes, and the NASA space race, and many other things. Pure works of art. 😊😊

    I can't believe that you have a 1960 Thunderbird in your possession. My grandmother gave my dad her 1960 T-bird when she bought her brand new Ford Maverick back in the early 70s. It was a great car with a powerful engine and smooth ride. Unfortunately some woman backed out of her driveway without looking both ways and damaged the T-bird on the front passenger side fender and door. My older brother looked everywhere checking out junk T-birds for body parts but couldn't find one. I can only imagine what your 60 T-bird would look like with the engine from my grandmother's car and a fresh paint job. Unfortunately we don't have it anymore but it did go to a guy who collected the old T-birds and had the sources and obviously the resources for restoring those cars. I hope you can find someone, if not yourself, who can bring that 1960 Thunderbird back to life. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Silas. Your video really made my day. Stay safe and take care. And again, thanks a lot.

    That year Hudson Wasp was after the merger (purchase) by Nash Motors, if you look real close and dont fixate on the Logos your looking at a Nash Rambler Rebadged as a Hudson. The Weather Eye also was a Nash Item. Would love to own that car.

    • @ramblerdave1339
      @ramblerdave1339 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a Rambler, a Nash Statesman. AMC did rebadge Ramblers, as Hudsons, but still called them Ramblers, no styling change, just Hudson emblems. Wasp = Statesman, Hornet = Ambassador.

    Wow. That Olds brings back memories. My dad had the identical car- a white 98 4 dr sedan. I remember how mad he was when my friend spilled a malt into the reverb rear speaker. It never sounded the same again. I also remember him putting rings in the engine after about 70,000. It was burning a quart every hundred miles. Don’t remember if that had the 371 or 394. The former would be my guess

    The 60 T-Birb, I bet could have been a pace car for dirt track or oval track racing, which use to be all over the mid west and southern US and the hole would have held some sort of race flag, green, yellow, red or checkard ... The Hudson's split bench seat as I understand it, if it is the original seat was designed to fold all the way back to where it touched the back seat so it could be made into a bed for camping, Hudson's thinking and inovations were just a head of their time. I'm interested in the 54 Ranch Wagon when you decide what you what you are going to do with it. Thanks for deciding to film this, looking forward to seeing more as you move the cars out of the building...

It had a big engine in it for the time. Was up there with my Brother and he was tuning it up for him my Brother was a mechanic. We drove it after he got done it was fast for a big car. I would say it was a 4000 to 5000 lbs car. Them was some great cars.

I agree, that wasp has potential for a great builder and the ranch wagon, even though its rusted on the outside, the floors are in it so its a builder as well. Biggest damages are rodents getting into them. I would think that the two door plymouth should get some mopars heart ticking... and... that building is far from needing torn down... I agree its got a very low ceiling ... cleaned out and up, its still good storage for old rigs just like those rigs. Might as well become a logger for a day and rip out those dang trees for they get even worse

    Great cars, hope someone can take them and restore them. Those Elms look like one I have, prolific seeders after reaching maturity. Little moisture and those seeds take off.

    It would be a go if it was younger in age but you said it would be a nail biter on the ramp. God bless and have a great evening and weekend/Father's day. I am going to get to sharing. Thanks sharing your thoughts and adventures with the family and friends.

    Just info on most or all cars. If the taillight lens is intact. Unless it's been modified. The date of vehicle is stamped on the lens. Most people are forgetting that tidbit. Thank you.

    In that year of Hudson, it was a warmed over Nash and those front seats don't flip forward, they flip down to make into a double bed.

    The Hudson Wasp is actually a brand-engineered Nash. The backs of the front seats fold flat to make into a bed.

    Hi Siles, would you have to want for that Olds in the building. I love watching your video's. It makes me feel sad watching some of the car's get crushed.

    I actually like the old Plymouths and if I were closer would love to buy one, too far from NC though.

    I like the late 60’s Dodge pick-up trucks! My Dad retired from Dodge truck after 39 years of faithful service

    Hey buddy, you're not realizing what you truly have in cars there. You do have kind of a gold mine and I think it would be in your best interest to share and inventory what you have that would be an interest to more car collectors. Try that before you crush these cars . Complete cars and some good parts is what I'm seeing. Have a Big weekend showing or something like that and you might be surprised, without COVID prices.
