As a guy who did taekwondo kickboxing an mauy thai, I wish they would’ve had this back in 2015 in Florida! Because I hated doing 3 martial arts just to feel complete when judo offers boxing, kicks, and judo all in one.., I’m really thinking about getting back into combat sports
Same sentiments - if Kudo comes earlier, I will not take 3 to 4 styles just to be complete. Karate (no face punch), kickboxing (boxing gloves - no face protection. Got a black eye), wrestling (taught me alot), Krav Maga (my favourite)
I wish more Kudo dojos were in the US. I'm hoping that I can get my Shodan in World Oyama Karate in the Green Belt in Judo before the decade is so I have a decent foundation if I move to Japan or to one of the states that has Kudo.
That's a great goal! Kudo is an exciting and effective martial art that combines various elements from other styles. Having a solid foundation in World Oyama Karate and Judo will definitely be beneficial if you ever decide to pursue Kudo in Japan or in a state where it is available. Keep working towards your Shodan and stay dedicated to your training!

I would love to compete in these kind of tournaments. The only thing I do not like is wearing the helmet. Everything else is amazing from high-level jot throws ground fighting. Everything is beautiful in this art. I would love for someday for me to fight in this type of style fighting.
@@transcendentalarts5942it looks similar to Muay Thai because real karate, not kempo or other BS that calls itself karate but like actual karate. I was able to hop in and spar with them day one no problem it was just like karate sparring. I will say this however that Muay Thai is Superior in the sense that you progress a lot faster. I was surprised some of the people I was sparring with had only been doing Muay Thai for 6 months a year and they were comparable. The difference is that there's no emphasis on weapons, kata and they spar lighter and more frequently. At least at the place I went to. So I feel like Muay Thai will get you to where you want to be faster but at the end of the day karate has more things around it. Like weapons, self defense tips and tricks etc. it's hard to explain in a comment here but there are things that make karate feel more complete. That being said if your goal is to just get dangerous with your hands Muay Thai will get you from 0 to 100 faster. Basically if I can boil it down to an analogy. Muay Thai feels like a drag race to the finish line where is karate feels like a sports car that you could daily drive but also go drag racing with but it's not going to be a purpose-built drag racing car. I'll grant you that there might be more to Muay Thai that I didn't get exposure to. So maybe they really focus on the fisticuffs portion up front and then there's more to learn later? Either way if you're trying to become a professional fighter it seems like a smarter routine. 💁 But real karaten will 💯 throw down and should not be underestimated.

kudo-budo... before kudo it's called "rukopashnyj boj" (army-style hand-to-hand combat) in the ussr. and yeah, russians don't use these pathetic gimmicks like masks, gloves or protectors.

Same here man. Sadly there's soooooooo many Mcdojos in america where it's just a glorified daycare.
Me too. I live in Colorado & the only Kudo school in the state is in Colorado Springs, but I live in Denver.
I concur in Eastern US, too bad too many Americans like McDojos and there are two many ambulance chasing lawyers.

Do kyokushin, judo and bjj. Maybe some boxing. It will be like kudo
What you have is the origin style of kudo.

Why your website doesn't work?
Hi, some technical problems. All my courses also available on Udemy.
Hope soon I will fix it.
I really like this Channel and as a subscriber can I please request that you do a segment on enshin kaikan style karate please and thank you.
The original Kudo is just Kyokushin Karate and Kodokan Judo. That’s it. The mixing of other styles is more in the Russian system. Not Japan.
It's just very popular in ex-USSR countries but it is Japanese system. The creator is Japanese, a lot of schools in Japan
Not entirely correct. Kudo incorporates a lot from Muay Thai and other styles

Because Kudo isn't widespread in the west yet. There are only like 3 Kudo gyms in the entire US, whereas there are thousands of BJJ gyms.
Hi, Is it possible to learn kudo online and receive belt ranks?
You gotta travel to one of the branches every once in awhile. Colorado springs, San Diego or Chicago.
Kudo and sambo are the most complete styles.

That's right. Kudo and Combat Sambo are the most open and practical martial arts
Nippon Kenpo Karate
Can someone who trains other karate schools and/or MMA compete in Kudo, because there are no schools around me but I do train and want to compete.
I think that you need to enter in a kudo gym if you want to compete in it
