  • The lead acid batteries only lasted a little over 4 years in the cart. New lead acid batteries were almost the same price as a Lithium replacement so I decided it was time to switch. The LiTime seemed to offer the most bang per buck with app monitoring and features for cold weather. Not sure the charger was the best choice as it is only 10 amps. The only option LiTime had for this battery at the time on Amazon. Hopefully the battery lasts a lot longer then lead acid versions. Darn electric vehicles are expensive to operate.
This is the LiTime battery I bought amzn.to/3UfI6Mc

Had to laugh when you forgot twice. I've done the same many times starting my lawnmower or snowblower by forgetting to turn gas lever on 😮 and swearing at my mistake 😅

I wasn't going to show that but figured it might happen to someone else. I though I blew the controller or battery at first 😬. Never had a battery the phone could turn off before. Thanks for watching.

I'm a LiFePO4 convert. I use mine for electronics on my boats. There's a guy on YT (Goodman Fishing) that reviews these batteries and seems to be very knowledgeable about them. I love mine and although the demand on mine won't be the same as yours, I think you'll be happy with them. Only thing is that when they die, they die.

That's the scary part and hoping the company is still in business to cover warranty should it die early. I watched a video by a guy named Will that seemed knowledgeable. He tore a different LiTime apart and said it had good build quality with good parts so I figured I would try the brand. My wife is easy on the cart and hopefully it lasts. Thanks for watching.

Turns out it costs the same with lead acid battery prices rising and Lithium battery prices dropping. No more constant monitoring the water levels of the cells is the best part. These carts sure cost a lot to run. Thanks for watching.

My buddy had a DC motor cart, and put in a lipo conversion kit. I don't think it had lasted too long before one of the cells died and it was junk at that point. It wasn't a single battery, it was a multi battery. When he went to buy a new cart, he want to buy a gas one, but they convinced them to go to one of the newer AC motor carts. I'm pretty sure he regretted it and wanted to go with the gas at that point. But now he has two electric carts. I think he said when it was time to replace the battery again in the old one, he might not keep it anymore. I may have some of the details wrong, but I'd have to talk to him to confirm. I think I would have fun just driving one of those around, around my streets. LoL

That's the trouble with these batteries. Supposedly this batteries has grade A automotive cells with a good chance of survival. It also has cold temperature protection for both charging and discharging that can otherwise destroy the battery quickly. If my wife could stand the gas fumes we would definitely go gas, but with Sjogrens they make her very sick and unable to breathe. Hopefully the company will be around long enough to cover the warranty if it dies. It's supposed to have a 80 mile range with this battery 😲. I am finding electric vehicles are very expensive to operate. Can't imagine what replacing a cars battery every couple years would cost because they use the same cells. Thanks for watching.

Just trying to catch up fixing things before the good weather arrives. Do you have a local sawmill you get your beams from or are they recycled? Thanks for watching.

@@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023 Hi , I get the beams from the local builders merchant which is only approximately 5 miles away 2 x 8. I can’t get them the length I’ll require so I pick up ones that are 4 m in length., and then fitting jacking supports into the ground at the post then sit on and I can then wind up or down a very large nut with a flat washer on it to support the beam, I did make the front part of the garage in concrete with a step in the inside of it so then I can bolt one beam to the inside edge, and then with the aid of my jig Arunda I cut the dovetail into it, then my beams that go direction into the garage I’ve got the pin part of the dovetail cut onto them, I’ve gone to use new timber as it is raised me straight, if I use reclaim, I might end up having problems with it, As I did help somebody a few years ago, We had approximately 30 beams and it took me nearly 3 days to straighten them out, partly to do with nails, having to remove them before I use a very very large hand electric planer, We just needed to straighten the top surface where the roof was been laid onto, undecided and the side of the beams that are going to be visible inside the room didn’t need to be touched he wanted it to look rustic,
