9:07 Totally agree 💯. You, me, AsmondgoldTV+ , and Hawg+ are all in agreement that Respec needs to be free. The only way players will find broken builds is to open up the flood gates on Respecs. This isn't a 5 yr open Beta. New content will be released to test and the Alpha is coming. Forcing players to start a new game just to test a new build, feels stupid like PoE 1.5
I think what's going on with the Act 3 map sizes has to do with unreleased content. As it stands, you complete Acts 1-3 on normal, then go to Cruel to complete them again. This roughly puts the player at level 65, which is where endgame mapping starts off in terms of level/difficulty. There are going to be 3 more acts and, to my knowledge, you won't have to do the Cruel to get to endgame once the remaining Acts drop. With all 6 Acts, you're bound to get to level 65ish naturally but they had to cram this into 3 Acts. They could increase XP gain but you'd be so over-leveled so quickly that a lot of the hard knocks necessary to teach the game, its mechanics, and prepare you for endgame wouldn't be happening and cause everyone to undo about 60+ hours of habits. The route they've taken means they can pretty easily cut bloat from Act 3 and a little from Act 2 once they add in the remaining portions. As far as I'm aware, Acts 1-6 will be twice the length (in terms of content) as 1-3 (normal), which means they can trim quite a bit from 2 and 3.
For seasoned gamers, especially those with a lot of arpg experience, the potential for this game is well beyond the potential for Dia-blah 4 or Last Epoch. Blizzard's approach and subservience to shareholders, past behavior, and recent performance has disabled its future so spectacularly, it would take going private or being acquired by a new flotilla of genius devs and directors (sans shareholders) to bring it back to comparability with POE2 (in its alpha stage). Last Epoch has a tremendous amount of potential but is still developing and probably won't ever catch up. POE1 raised to many bars and had such a long time to grow and learn, it is probably the only show in town worth your time and money. For one thing, it was immediately playable. There weren't a lot of crashes, glitches, it was accessible, it's beautiful, it's enticingly complex, and it has hyper-devoted devs and directors that have an integrity-budget that could survive an apocalypse. I imagine some of the problems the game faces will be varied in difficulty. For example, balancing the different ascendancies so more people play melee will be hard. Will it involve new animations, weapon skills, boosts to close-quarter fighting? I think so. Simply nerfing the more popular electricity and fire minion builds won't solve the problem, just piss more people off. Will they ever implement a better trading system? God, I hope so. I spend a good amount of my time trying to meet up with people to trade items and it should be automated. I love the external trading and information sites, but there should be no interaction between the players, especially having to dip out of an active map or lab, or wait around for people to respond or not. Fix that for god's sakes. The security credentials and caveats (you click it you review it, you buy it) should be self-evident and satisfactory by now. The honour-system for labs is terrible, in my opinion. I would say I love about 80% of the game, and for the development stage it is in, that is miraculous.
1:26 You think this game is balanced? Clearly you haven't tried the Sorcerer. Cold is the best ascendancy and skills. Lightning and Fire aren't strong enough to be good yet. Not balanced, at all. 😉
I dont think there is anything wrong with Act 3 Mapsize. I think they just need to put more checkpoints and allow you to travel between them. Its also clear to me that GGG DID NOT play test this game with a Warrior character. The ascendancy trials tell me that. There are literally bosses in the Chaos trials that do nothing but Fly around on class that has no way to deal with it. Never mind all the anti melee debuff mechanics.
The biggest bs ever. The overwhelming majority of gamers are normal people with full time jobs, many of which also have families. For them, a game that does not respect a players time is a badly designed game. You absolutely can design a grindy gamer that still respects the players time. GGG is currently fixing some of the criticisms, but it is still very true that from launch in EA on, this game was deeply disrespectful of the players time by having them waste time for nothing.

Only thing i would complain about is the lake of a crafting system for now but i know its comming anyways
Yeah poe 1 had an ocean of crafting.
The biggest problem is bugs tbh. 1/7 skills in my build is working fine - i reported it all.

zoom in further into the minimap, so that its proportions are actually bigger than on screen...
Then you see less of the paths ahead, which is kinda the point...
Just subbed 😊👍

if it releases next year it might have to compete with GTA6 so game of the year will be quite the challenge, but it surely needs to win something
i'd say it's far beyond alpha testing- if that's what you meant. but I agree, the foundation of the game is extremely solid. It's got good bones
why 150% digital vibrance?
It’s electric 🔥
