Tawanchai Pk Saenchai Gym. What makes him so good and Why is he one of the scariest men in the division right now? The great Cus D’Amato once said “Boxing is entertainment, so to be successful a fighter must not only win but he must win in an exciting manner. He must throw punches with bad intentions.” This sums up Tawacnahi in a nutshell, and why he has quickly become a ONE Championship fan favourite. In this video we breakdown his style and take a closer look at what makes the Thai fighter so good!
As of December 2021 he is the number two pound-for-pound Muay Thai fighter in the world according to The Nation. A former Lumpinee Stadium fighter of the year, he competes in the Featherweight division of ONE Championship, where he is the current ONE Muay Thai Featherweight World Champion. As of October 12, 2023, he is ranked #4 in the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing rankings.
He is set to defend his Title against Superbon in December 2023.

Man I really want to like Ultrabon the way I like Buakaw, but he just doesn't have the same size and conditioning for the style. Then again, nobody does. Buakaw's a freak of nature.

Speaking of which, Haggerty now has to contend with Akimoto and/or Ramazanov to defend his new kickboxing bantamweight title(!!) They'll be crazy bouts!
I don't think Tawanchai has what it takes to shine in kickboxing. He isn't as sharp as he usually is in Muay Thai. Look at the fight with Nattawut.
@woowonton Maybe. But the factors to consider pre-fight are as long as your arm. Sometimes, you just don't perform as well as you could have done in the fight, even if you win.

I'm actually excited for the Jo Nattawut rematch, I'm sure TWC has tightened up dealing with mid-range fighting, his one weakness.

Tawabchai is good...but Buakaw and Saenchai are legends. Buakaw, by all measures, should have been a Ki Champion at least 4 time in consecutive order
Japanese judges stole that from Buakaw
He kicks so hard but Tawanchai prefers elbows
If these guys used a knee down sidekick ( old style back kick from a side stance) they would upset the round kick Muy Thai fighters.
