Note for Low stance Ki pulse: -With weapon like Spear and Tonfa, strong attack combo that finish with quick attack can trigger Ki pulse. -Spear, Katana and Odachi can trigger Ki Pulse with X+forward input during a low stance combo.
The legend himself, teaching how to ki pulse! One thing I'd like to add. There are two weapons where you can ki pulse (in low stance only) with the quick attack follow up. Those two weapons are spear and tonfa. Since they were released with the original Nioh 1 game and were skills in the original. I've noticed that shadow sword does not allow for a ki pulse when done from low stance strong. However, spear bash, and heavenly chain still do.
Right! I felt like I have been forgetting something in the making of this video. I have also forgot to mention how X+Forward combo can also trigger Ki pulse.
OMG. I finished nioh twice. And now im in the middle of nioh 2 for 80+ hours and i just knew the meaning of this pulses things. Lol. This game is so vast and deep so many things so many to learn.
I just started the game last night and it was very helpful to watch this tutorial. I usually hate tutorials that are just text, but this one was super well done. thank you
What shall I add here, great tutorial, I was wondering does Hatchets parry works on skelly bros, but I see it does right now, I did it quite few times just wasn't sure was it parry or regular move! :D
this guide is mostly made for controller type A, and nioh is mostly optimized forthat setup. What i can suggest is to remember which input to use the same way it is used in this video ki pulse=r1 low stance=X (dodge) mid stance=square (quick attack) high stance=triangle (strong attack)
what's the difference between the tutorial and the real game? I made my guy and picked his weapons, got used to the ki pulse because the ki bar had a gray bar proportional to the timing of the ki pulse. when i got into the normal game and walked past that big dude that killed me 100000 times, that gray bar is non existent and i can never see any blue particles
you dont really see blue particle from enemies ai, just you. this tutorial applies mostly to players like us. which boss you have been struggling with?
@@LasttoLoad i figured it out, when i bought the complete edition the other day i equipped a bunch of the boon armor they give you from DLC and it overencumbered me. I can do ki pulses now, and the boss is the first boss after the tutorial, or a miniboss probably. the one that charges at you and has that big club
@@LasttoLoad but honestly cause your video, i feel gameplay of nioh 2 with different level , different with dark soul or sekiro. Thanks for your tutorial so much
@@tranvannhan6792 Exactly, i was initiated by Dark souls, but Nioh is what i truly needed. I love complex games, and now i see i will learn this game a MONTHS. Thanks to @Last to Load

Even with 500 hours in Nioh 1, I do not realize how mid and low stance ki pulse buff work like that! Thank you
Ki is the energy that flows through all kinds of things supernatural.
i've never ki pulsed correctly it seems, thank you sensei.

Glad it was helpful!
Ki (Chi in Chinese) is the energy that flows into all kinds of the universe. It's like spiritual magic
Great stuff as always. Solidly informative :)
I've learned it. Arigatou, sensei
I'm on PC and this helped me out a ton. Thanks
Thank you!
You are an impressive sensei
Thank you bro
Good stuff.
On pc. After attack press Shift.

i think that hatchet parry triggers when you are guarding something. when an attack connect, I press triangle to activate it.
@@LasttoLoad Exactly! As I mentioned, I did it quite few times, just I wasn't sure was it parry or regular attack, it's quite fun!

well good luck every newbie in nioh 2, i am quit, this one is too hard not because clever design or AI, but it is a core gameplay
What I learned is that qi was invented from both China and Japan.
Does all these work on nioh 1 ?
Mechanically yes, it does work. There are also stance buff, but not the purification buff, and no yokai power obviously.
too compliated especialy with the boss, you cannot wait perfecly time to pulse ki
yea, I do suggest to go for an early ki pulse due to how fast your opponent can get to you.
