Great video! I hope your channel takes off so you can make more s4 b5 video... Good stuff my man! You mentione Brad Watkings, hes a great tuner and is also on the tube, someone a bit more low key but just as good if not better is my man Blake Beadle. With either one you cant go wrong, Brad is awesome if you want pops n bangs, he really knows how to make your car shoot flames 😝
Great breakdown of the 2.7t platform. It took me years (and I'm sure you as well) to gather all of this knowledge and it's great that people just getting into this platform have a place to get it all in under a half hour.
I just picked up my first B5 S4 after watching your videos and malakas videos. Thank you guys for pushing me to finally just say screw it and grab one. Been 3 days since picking it up and the smiles per mile are worth it. Thank you so much man
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again haha, you’ve got so much potential dude! You made a full breakdown with a PowerPoint on a 2.7t platform lol. This is seriously impressive stuff in this video and super helpful, keep it up brother!
I'm running stock 255k mile ko3's on my b5 that's been stage 2 for the past 8 years 100k miles. 3500 mile oil changes, and proper engine heating and cooling cycles. I keep saying I'm going to swap them when they blow but they just don't 😂
@Patrick Feliciano it was an epic tuning group tune from florida. They have since went out of business, unfortunately. The website now links to solo motor sports. They may be able to tune.
@@jasonsantiago5157 hey if you are still around what oil are you running? ive heard you can use 5w-40, 5w-30, 0w-30, and 0w40, i bought an a6 with the 2.7t recently, i am not tuning it, but would like to know so that i can run what people have had the most luck with, as its for daily driving. at some point next month i have to replace my valve cover gaskets and a few other gaskets and seals under the valve covers, as i am leaking about a quart every week. Also if by chance have you had any trouble with a maf code popping up all the time for "High air input."? i think its P0103 or P0104, car runs fine even with the light no missfire or anything but just in case you mightve had trouble with this before id love to hear how you fixed it.
Thanks for the great video. I was inspired by this video 2 years ago when my Allroad was a bone stock automatic. Now it's a K04 6speed 410awhp/430awtq monster with all the goodies. Thanks again . Your work is greatly appreciated
Full stage 3, KO4's, custom GIAC, larger intercoolers. Alcons on the front. I over heated it with 220K. I have a 90K A6 engine with bent vavles waiting. I'll clean it up. New valves, timing belt/wp service. Turbos are still fresh. I have and CM FX450 clutch. I love this channel.
My low mileage b7 S4 is starting to develop chain rattle, knew it would happen eventually and always had 2.7 swap in the back of my mind, but now I'm starting the research and part gathering phase, thanks for the videos and knowledge!
Thanks for making this video. Great job delivering this information. It was nice to have all this information presented in a way that makes me understand all this with these S4's. One is for sale down the street from me and he did a stage 3. He quickly threw out all these terms and names of what he did. I watch your video and now I understand. He did a text book stage three with the K24 RS6 Turbos.
Forgot to mention I also have the 2.8 heads ported 2.7 intake manifold ported to match 2.8 valves intake and exhaust they r all the same turbos ported to match the down pipes xs power catback dual exhaust custom 3.5 to 2.5" y pipe stock inter coolers for now 450 walbro pump I'll post a video soon of my build explaining all I've did and a walk around I get alot of comments about it.. just like to have fun I enjoy watching others it inspire me to do what I do..
For those interested in venturing into tuning this platform there is a forum for self taught and implemented tuning. Nefmoto is a great resource. I learned how to tune my A4 1.8T running Bosch ME 7.5.
I’d like to help chime in on a few things! From stage 1-2! Stage 1 is a simple software flash! Upgrading DVs will benefit also! 710n’s are great low price DVs that can handle 20psi+ I believe! With stage 2 it’s recommended you upgrade your down pipes and exhaust! The stock cats are SUPER restrictive and rob about 40+ HP...you can gut your stock cats or purchase aftermarket! “BEL” engines have a different flange for the turbo flange be sure to get the correct set when purchasing also “TIP” cars need different DP’s because of the trans mounts! +1 for Brad @ GET tuning and Blake Beadle as well! I’m sure there’s more I forgot but for your basic knowledge this video hits all the points! I encourage those to also read the B5 S4 wiki tuning page along with Nefmoto tuning site for more info 👍🏾
Now i saw where i am at and what else i can do. You did not mention anything about meth kit. That is what i am thinking to have. But in my mind i had some questions now i found answers for them. Thank you man
I enjoy your videos, very informative and easy to follow. Just upgraded the clutch and upgraded the transmission because the clutch finally needed to be replaced after 175k miles. Upgrading suspension and replacing u/l control arms in the coming weeks. I am hoping to eventually make it to stage 3. haha.
I agree.. my budget isn't like most I have ebay turbos I have had for 5 yeas now stage 3 tune pushing 475 wheel hp on 20x8.5" wheel its a s4 b5 hybrid 98 audi a4 Quattro 5 speed manual transmission 2.7t.. 92 octane with 2 ecu's 1 for E85 and 1 tuned for 93.. turbos set at 7psi 20 pounds of boost for now. Been an amazing car it in the pic on my profile...
My car lives at 8150 ft. altitude. Intake air is always cool yet never enough of it. Two weeks away from summer tires. keep up the fantastic content, lets see some paint.
Fantastic video my dude keep it up. Not to plug my self but I offer a fantastic option for those who don't wanna buy a rs4 intake or need a larger volume intake, And it's a diy solution.
What is needed to run e85 on this platform, just picked up my first b5 s4 like 2 weeks ago and it has BW K04’s, o34 85”mm maf, Bosch ev14 550cc, And it has a project b5 450/85 fuel pump, is there anything else I need to change? so the car has all this but to my understanding it’s on a stage 1 map and it’s running really rich I was looking into getting it tuned soon but would it even be worth it to get it tuned on e85? BTW I don’t drive this car at all in its the current state it’s in. Thank you
Why is it with more flow you sacrifice low end torque? It seems like an intake manifold and heads that flow better will give you more power throughout the whole RPM range.
Hey man I just came across this video And actually learned some stuff. I say I learned Because I half ass had an idea of what I knew but you explained it in such great detail That I fully understand it now and I appreciate that keep up the good work And thank you. BTWI never subscribe to anybody or anything on TH-cam but I definitely subscribe to your channel lol.. Hopefully I'll have my B5S4 fully built From bottom to top within the next year or 2
Im right at the 550-580 crank and 494whp to be exact and im curious if you know what kind of loss % down low and gains % up top i would get from those 2.8 heads you mentioned
Awesome video like always! So when I wanna go stage 3 I'll just order the parts and bring her on up to you? What Ko4's do you suggest, is it worth it to go with BW's or just paying for the name?
Bring her over, we’ll make it happen. The BW come at a big premium but they are incredibly reliable turbos. If they are within budget I recommend you get them.
Excellent video. I have my original engine on a stand right now, would you have still gone single turbo? Say budget wasn't an issue. It's so tempting for the pros but the little purist in me says otherwise lol
Definite understand how the purist in you wants to stay twin turbo, and honestly I probably would have still gone single. Not for the power but for the sounds and overall driving experience of the single
Blocks are very similar if not identical. The engine codes BEL in the A6 and Allroads were later revised casting for some and they have slightly stronger blocks coded BF
