My baby has been apart for 3 years. I just took on more than I can handle but these videos are giving me some courage to finish the stage 3. AMAZING VIDEOS!!!!
Stoked I came across this video. Love the content and the way you format these videos. Great narration and clips. Been a B5 s4 owner for 15 years, these are truly remarkable cars in every sense. Love seeing other folks enjoying these magical beasts!
I am really glad to hear you like the videos so much! That makes me really happy! Thank you for being so supportive. The b5 really is an incredible car!
Great to see someone that appreciates the S4 for what it is rather than the bulk of content providers who over tune their cars and then moan that the S4 B5 is unreliable. These are amazing cars with phenomenal German engineering wrapped up in a very understated body. Looking forward to following your progress.
I am really glad to hear I am not alone in wanting to preserve what makes the car unique. It is crazy to me that it is almost a controversial statement nowadays to say that a youtube project car doesn't need 600+hp and a massive single turbo to be enjoyable. The engines in these cars are fantastic, and can be incredibly reliable if taken care of. Thank you for the support!
Been sub’d for a while, and been desperate for a bit of a project for a while - I’m in the UK. There’s a 2.7tt swapped A4 avant, 6 speed manual, going for £1400… I’m quite tempted. Seems to have done most of the work already and if the listing is to be belied it’s been done properly, runs and drives, needs finishing with an exhaust etc… Oh and it’s got ko4’s 🤪
Great video. Super informative. I'm new to the B5 S4 platform as I picked one up last year as a weekend/project car and just came across your channel. Thanks for putting in the work and effort to provide content as there is not enough B5 video content out there.
Thank you so much for the support! I am glad to hear you have found it useful and enjoyable. That means alot to me. I completely agree that these cars deserve more love.
Good work, well done. Your diverted valves are installed in the wrong way.! The vacum nipple line needs to faceing towards centre of the engine or pointing to the throttle body!
Spot on! This was how they were when I bought the car and I didn't discover that until a couple episodes later in the series. They are fixed now! At this point I was still learning the car. Thank you for the support!
You need to lower your cars first! In Germany we say FFF first: Felgen (rims) Fahrwerk (coilovers) Fertig (finished) Both the TT and the S4 look like they are afraid of high tide… Just a friendly suggestion from an older VAG lover :)
Yeah, I completely agree! I've actually got coils on the way for the TT. I'm a bit worried about the ride height with the roads we have in town however. Tons of speed bumps and potholes almost everywhere you go here. The TT scrapes going into the parking lots in the older parts of town as it is. Hopefully I don't crack my oilpan haha. I'm excited to put them on when they get here however! Thanks for the support!
Hi. A quick question. I know this is an old video but I want to ask you what program/software did you use to code new injectors to the ECU? I want to swap mines for bigger ones but I can't find any one available and thinking to do it myself. Thanks
Me too! The car is perfect at wide open throttle, it just struggles a bit at low throttle as the boost comes in. I'll pressure test it as well to try and see if its a vacuum leak or whatnot. Thanks for the support!
@@freddiemendoza4188 that's what my number one guess is too haha. I've got a pressure tester on order to try and fix that. Most all of these lines are so old I'm leaning towards just replacing everything.
@@HunterDirection that’s the way to go. Also the injector O rings could be leaking vacuum. But you’ll truly won’t know until you pressure test the system. But I’m sure you already know that.
HAOLD OAN, let me get back to that, designed to go work on? Hahahah. Ever changed the turbos or or anything down there? You want to set it on fire than. Owned it for years already had 5 engine pulls heheh
Haha very, very, fair point with the turbos! :) I was moreso referring to the frequently serviceable parts like plugs, coils, injectors and whatnot. It's nice having those easy to access. I've done lots of research on the pains of the dreaded turbo replacement haha. I've been trying to be as preemptive as possible on that front. Thanks for the support!
The car has the uprated injectors and a custom tune for them by a company called mototza. They are needed when running e85 fuel. Thank you for the support!
Making good progress but why did you fit 550cc injectors for a k03 map? Seems an odd and potentially pointless mod. My car is stage 2 on standard injectors.
That's a great question. I did it for a few reasons. The main one is that this is what my tuner specifically suggested since they set me up with a multi-octane tune. One of the octanes is e85 so they want more fuel available if I run that. I will also likely be going to ko4s when the ko3's eventually go. Thanks for the support!
@@RichieST08 I am still surprised we get it where I live. It's still really new here and only at one location. It will be fun to try out for sure. Thank you for the support!
@@HunterDirection I was going to comment on the injectors here aswell but it looks like its been stated. I just dont see the need even with e85 the ko3's run out of steam before you hit that extra fuel requirement so its leaving the tailpipe unburnt
@@R3dryuu you should learn about E85 dude. Density differences for correct burn so therefore greater volumes of it are required per combustion sequence. Having the larger injectors gives the ability to work for both applications and their duty cycle will be changed for each tune.

Literally in the same boat. b7 a4 2.7 swap and i finally am getting back in the financial position where i can buy parts again.

I have a one owner garage kept 58,000 mile 04 S4. It is flawless. I'm about to build the fastest S4 ever. It truly is an amazing car.

I could sense a fellow engineer with your explanation ability.
I am so glad to hear that comes through! It makes me happy to know there are other engineers who found my channel!

NLS is glorious in the b5.s4 🤘🏻🤘🏻
It really is haha. It's still nerve wracking to do though lol. Thank you for the support!
My tuner recommends the stock diverter valves and I’m on a stage II tune at 18psi

That's really great to hear:) It makes me happy you find the videos motivating. Thanks for the support!
The best shape i think love these, I do love the estate more thou
I just bought a 04 A6 c5 2.7t S-line Quattro two days ago 90k miles
That sounds like an awesome car! I looked at the A6's a ton when I was looking for my second project!
Congrats on the upgrades and congrats on you birthday 👍😊😊

7 times out of 10, the first startup after a flash will cause a misfire. That has been the case for me, drive it for a little and it should go away.
That's exactly what happened. The second time I started it up it ran just fine. Thanks for the support!

Idle changes because the timing is advanced the clutch switch is used to sense that u are about to move and it advances the timing
Thank you! I figured it was something along those lines, but that makes alot of sense!
Exited to see what the revised tune does for the car and if it fixes the miss fire.

More than likely a vacuum leak. Mine was at the waste gate lines. Fun times

I see the busted knuckles lol you forgot to mention owning one and working on it causes you to smash your hand often
Hahaha that's so true😆 I could make a whole video purely of shots of me smashing my hands working on cars. Thank you for the support!
What power is it putting out after the injectors and tune
Hello. I'm from germany. Which Injektors( Bosch)? and how much ccm have it? Best regards Alex
great job congrats👏

The idle vacuum changes because the clutch changes vacuum pressure in the car slightly …?!
When you push the clutch in at idle the wastegates open
That makes so much sense haha. Thanks for the explanation! I appreciate the support.
Can you tell me what software you have to use those

Your from spokane? Lol
I see you're in Washington too, lets cruise sometime.
That sounds like fun! I'd be down!
