Guys and gals.. pay close attention particularly to the first 2 minutes and 34 seconds. This is critical specially if you have an aftermarket market flywheel like i did. I did not know this when doing my install nor did i easily find out about it. I actually found out about it the hard way. Motor wouldn't start just crank. Had to pull the motor back out then split it back up and realign the flywheel which happened to be 180⁰ off. Good stuff man, putting out good info.. 👍👍
I have heard about that. Why was that though? I know some cars, like a Skoda or audi a4, have a kinda locking/theft device for the flywheel, dont remember the name for it, something on C, but this device, that not all cars have, prevents the car from starting if it isn't aligned right with the flywheel teeth. Do you know what this mechanism is called?
Man how did you manage to bolt it in 180 degrees out? My hole only line up in one orientation, there's no way I'd get the bolts in any other way. Went to try to go flip it 180 degrees to see if the bolts went in smoother and it didn't even come close to lining up 180 out.
@@coorslightyearz No, it was a crank sensor reading the flywheel splines. If the sensor was plugged out or not connected back on again, it would never start:)
Bro so hyped I just found your channel. We have so many similar parts, same flywheel, same jhm linkage and bushings. I'm currently doing an auto to manual conversion and this channel will be so valuable. I might end up asking you for some help if I get stuck and can't find any answers on audizine ect 😄👍
I’ve been straight up struggling getting my transmission to go back on the engine I watched this video in hope I was doing something wrong 😂 great video though really high quality and informative. Keep it up 👍
That’s right, below is a Audizine link showing a diagram for the bolts as well as the sizes. www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/559421-01E-bell-housing-to-motor-bolts
Can you access the Slave Cylinder while the transmission is still in the car or no because i just bought a B5 S4 and it needs to have the slave cylinder replaced and if i can do it without pulling the engine id would love to know.
Love your video's man! Very informal while I'm doing my build! Where did you get your spider hose from? Buy it or make it? Might have to copy you on that! Lol
Wesley Yates I made mine out of fuel hose from the local parts store. Really cheap and easy just gotta reuse the fitting for the valve covers and the crankcase breather. And the center splitter.
Hey man, great videos! I recently acquired a B5 avant and eventually plan on building a motor for it. I'm curious what transmission/related drivetrain upgrades you have. Any suggestions?
Congrats on the car man! Luckily the transmission is pretty stout. As long as your 1 to 2 shift collars are fine all you’ll need to do is mounts, clutch and I’d definitely recommend an upgraded shifter
@@CIPGAS awesome thanks! 034 street density mounts are being installed now. Just watched your video on the driveshaft stabilizer, might have to do that next. Luckily my 1st/2nd are shifting fine but 3rd has an almost unnoticeable crunch when shifting into it. Putting some motul 300 in it which I hope will help smooth it out. Whenever I pull the motor to build I will do the JHM refresh for the tranny as well. Though might be a bit before that happens
Hey man, there are 2 of them that 2.7t motors use this one www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-volkswagen-audi-parts/crank-plug/078103113d/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwybD0BRDyARIsACyS8mtxZdYSyx-KRpk5MM8C5dhJD3FZ1C3CJIiWaUUk4HizkvG_7iJWdHIaArrqEALw_wcB And the one I used came off of a 3.0 b6 motor. I can’t find the part number for it but I thought it would be more durable and easier to remove than the plastic one that goes in there.
Luis Landa They are very similar turbos that ride in the same frame. Slightly different design on the compressor wheels but other than that almost identical. They will have just about the same response(lag) and reliability on both has been good.
Do you still have this clutch with your single turbo? How do you like it? I have the south bend stage 3 with the 034 flywheel but it keeps fusing together :(
***1000% real passion here***
Thanks to share with us your vid I watched them all🙋♂️
I appreciate that! Thank you!

Feel free to ask any questions man I’m happy to help. Best of luck with the build and if you need to reach me Instagram is better @4uattros4
@@CIPGAS fuck yeah g I appreciate it alot.
Keep it going bro! Good content
Eduard Ivan Thanks man! Will do.
@@CIPGAS check out maxspeed rods btw, what I'll be running in the STK setup.
Nice tutorial.
Thanks!

It does suck man! a lot! first time I did it it took me 3 hours to get it to slide on. Thanks!
Can't wait to see all 4wheels spinning..
Luis Landa Almost there!!!
Awesome video man.. Tnks
Thanks!!
Reminder: the transmission bolts have a specific order. They have slightly different lengths.

Yeah you can
It’s a big PITA but it is possible.
Nice
Thanks!
do I have to get new flywheel bolts? my hands repair manual doesn’t specify that the bolts need to be replaced. thanks.
What is it like to drive with an aluminum fly wheel?? Difficult for daily driving?
A little noisy during engagement and harder to get going from a start but not too bad.

Have you any partnumber or disciption of that plug, wich closes the lockpinentry?
Glad I am able to help. Which plug were you looking at? For the lock pin?
Yes, that plug at 2:56 in the Video. Do you have a partnumber or description of it please? Cheers

Does that flywheel chatter? Looking to get 034 smfw for my 1.8t
Yes it does lol. Pretty chatty at anything below 1900 rpm
4UATTROS4 Danm imma go with TTV than
Will this motor match up to a 5peed manual gear box(Quattro)
Using the same adapter plate will get the 5 speed to bolt right up
What turbos make more power JHM RS6s or SRM K24? And wich ones have more lag? Any one?

How many pounds of torque for the flywheel bolts
I think I mentioned it in the video and you can also try this site, they have almost everything

Where is the extension with electrical tape?
whattt?

Yeah I still do and haven’t had any issues with it. So the clutch disk is fusing to the flywheel?
@@CIPGAS yeah the clutch gets stuck to the flywheel even after driving easy lol that clutch is good for launches too?
What size are your rims??
They’re 19’s
