    I made this today for dinner. It was great!When adding the asparagus, I also added one head of garlic. I cut off the top and drizzle it with avocado oil. Roasted garlic cloves added to the dish was amazing. Thank you for the recipe!

    Thanks Lisa for another great video. If you were grilling chicken breasts with the grill grate, could you do the same thing you did with asparagus at the end?

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure! I have grilled steaks and then added asparagus while the steak was resting-it cooks/grills so quick. But if using a different vegetable-know your vegetables cooking times. Brussel sprouts for example will take much longer .Zuchinni and summer squash are a great veg to grill and take about the same time as the asparagus depending on thickness and how you liked them cooked. I don't like my veg "cooked". I like them to retain a little crunch or freshness. Hope this helps.
      Thanks Patti!

    I followed exactly and my chicken did not brown like yours. What did I do wrong?

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It should of browned up nicely. I used air crisp 375F-I never have had an issue. But you could increase temp at end of cooktime after removing potatoes and bump it up to 390F or 400F to brown/crisp up skin. But it should have worked.

  • @krisy5754
    @krisy5754 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Can you use chicken breast in place in this recipe ?

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can-depending on the size/thickness of your chicken breasts-I usually cut mine inhale length wise and they are maybe. 1/2 inch thick and they cook in 12 -15 minutes. So I would startle potatoes first, then chicken and lastly the asparagus. But if chicken breast. is thicker start the chicken first. hope this helps Kristen!

  • @flybe146
    @flybe146 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Lisa, sorry to ask such dumb questions, but you know me now (the dumb English bloke that doesn't know anything) but is it the salt on the chicken breast that makes it crispy, is that what salt does to chicken if you put it on the skin? Also is "slap your mama" very spicy like it would burn your mouth if you have too much? Really great video Lisa - really good.

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks David! No such thing as a dumb question. The salt helps with crisping as well as the air crisping process. Slay Ya Momma is a Cajun seasoning- it’s not really spicy at all. It rather rather weak with the spiciness but great flavor! Franks red hot seasoning is more spicy. Using seasonings on the chicken can sometimes burn so I watch what I season my chicken with on the outside. But you could always season under the skin. Thanks David!

    • @whitehh15
      @whitehh15 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't mean to be one of those youtube comment section trolls, but there is definitely merit to adding salt to dishes before and during the cooking process. I don't doubt your Moms cooking abilities, but 99% of chefs / cooks you ask will disagree with that sentiment.

    I'LL BE DOING THIS TONIGHT ONLY USING SALMON GREEN BEANS AND POTATOES I THINK I'LL PARBOIL MY POTATOES FIRST BECAUSE I USE RUSSET AND THEY TAKE LONGER I GOING MARINADE MY GREEN BEANS IN AVACODO OIL AND SAPT PEPPER GARLIC AND A LITTLE CRUSHED RED PEPPER AND MAYBE SOME MUSHROOMS . HOW LONG WOULD YOU COOK THE SALMON FOR

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like my fish "done" people probably think I over cook it. but salmon can take it. depending on the thickness start. checking at 8 minutes with a thermometer. I made salmon Wednesday and it took 10 minutes for me-the way I like it. Your meal sounds wonderful! Let m know how you make out with the salmon. Spray the grill or AC basket-sometimes it sticks-not smooch with salmon but other types of fish. Thanks stephanie!

  • @heavenandlimes
    @heavenandlimes 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It is recommend by Ninja not to use a high burning oil such as Olive Oil, although the ninja foodi grill is virtually smokeless, adding oils that burn high and fast will cause smoke, in time..it is also a great idea to preheat your foodi grill, your appliance will last longer when cared for properly...

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks but I have always use. Olive oil to roast vegetables and stated people can use whatever oil they want to use. Also it’s a choice to preheat or not to preheat both ways work. Thanks for watching Mariana Vargas!

  • @kellyellis9489
    @kellyellis9489 ปีที่แล้ว

    Honey thanks for the video but ninja says DO NOT USE OLIVE OIL. Olive has a low burning point, hence high smoke. Your machine is so very very dirty, most probably due to oil. Tip from me. The filter plate on top, in a large pot boil water and drop in. Boil for an hour for yours. Then ever EVER SO SLOWLY add by tsp 1cup of vinegar and 1 cup backing soda. Yes there will be a reaction that is why you use a tsp at a time. Keep boiling add water as needed and boil boil boil. I bought mine used and it looked like yours, it looks new now
