1:49 The SS Imp wasn't a bad car in the power range. It was just the so shitty unreliable 4-speed they all used until it was discontinued. Up until 2012, the SS was replaced with the more base versions overall, with the same power put in a V6 VVT and a way better transmission, a 6 speed auto. Those engines were slightly upgraded and more powerful in 2014 when the power bumped from 300 to 305. Not a huge increase, but just enough. Going back to the SS though, if they would have thought of putting a more reliable transmission in it, also maybe make it a RWD car instead of the FWD they used, it may have actually stayed on the market.

The SS Imp wasn't a bad car in the power range.

Come on dude 812 is beautiful. Don't deny that just because it's not design by Pininfarina
Hell, with a lightened and caged Del Sol (2200lb) making 350whp, i had two stage boost control for traction reasons for street use
one of our neighbours had a friend, which made his own custom car in his gasrage... the power? ONE THOUSAND AND THIRTY SCREAMING HORSES OUT OF SUPERCHARGED V8... never saw anything more american than that
:D
Seriously if anyone has taken a step back and looked more then 150hp is plenty for the masses. As I have seen people with 200hp cars get into a mess let alone with cars that have more then that amount. It takes experience and skill to handle a powerful car full stop
The guy in the chair and trowing cashes is so funny 😂😂😂😂
Upload more videos brother !! LOVE FROM INDIA
Seeing that stripped purple TVR Speed 12 made me cry. 😭
Bro!!!!!
Nice video!!!!
Jeezus when you said "800" about the Ferrari I recoiled, that is ridiculous
400 horse is perfect my 71 Mach one had a built up 351 Cleveland and a built up 3 speed automatic transmission,,so fun,,,
First time I hear about 2 Superchargers in one engine wtf bro💀
The Speed 12, official horsepower numbers was around 950, but Ive talked to a few people who drove some of the prototypes and they said it was closer to 1200hp
I'm already guesding Kia EV6 is on the list
The Ford focus RS MK2 should have been on the list I must say
when i heard the CLK DTM i knew exactly what the problem was
The fact that the got 400hp from each wheel just makes you how much it was making at the crank
1. Mercedes AMG S63 E Performance: Too much power for an S-Class with less than 12 cylinders.
2. Caterham 7 620R: Too much power for a car that weighs 545 kg.
3. Toyota Camry XSE/TRD V6: Too much power for a 2020s front-wheel-drive car with every driving aid under the sun.
They should do an advanced driving course when they buy a powerful car🎉
"It's just the driver that cannot handle the HorsePowers; for example, racing a "Top Fuel Dragster" over "10,000 HP" Racing Down The "1320 Mile" Drag Racing. Running In The "3's ET" Over "367 MPH" In The "NHRA'S History.""
This channel is so cozy...
"Is there such a thing as too much horsepower?"
No.
Select different mode, change the tune map or... I don't know, lift your foot of the accelerator?
Why have all that power then? For when you need to do 0-120 in 4.2sec? What kind of situation is that?
@@TopCarsTV Avoiding crash with drifting car from nearby lane by accelerating away from it as proven numerous times by teslas on-board cameras.
@@dwapo any not break instead? Also, Tesla's don't have 2000hp
@@TopCarsTV they do both, break, accelerate and sharply turn, its even in the manual. Teslas might not have 2k horsepower, but for a semi-mainstream car, model s plaid is half way there with 1020. Even the slowest tesla has twice the power of an average hatchback. EV's in general top charts of peak power output of all production cars.
Point is, the more power the better - the trick, however, is in linear delivery with of almost instant peak torque to be as predictable as possible.
On a personal note only this week I've avoided crashing into indecisive driver, clearly lost on a roundabout, by hard accelerating away and in the past I've crashed due to being in too slow car.
I own a2007 Impala SS, too powerful, not quite, if you drive like a normal person, it’s actually a nice tourer.
I know I’m going to hear a lot of crap about this. I have an 800 hp Corvette Callaway. I have a 900 hp built mustang. I have a 750 hp hellcat. I bought a Tesla plaid and all the other cars are completely a handful on a normal road. The Tesla plaid with her 1000 hp that would decimate any of these other cars that I have.you can mat the throttle in a straight line and it will barely even spin the tires. Handles pretty good but not what it was made for. Every time I hear these people talk about how ridiculous it is to have over 500 hp in a street car they must not have ever been in a street car that can put that power to the ground…
