- Folks we have had the most incredible year so far. In this video we have been invited back to Forrest County Mississippi to hunt with the PineBeltRelics guys, Mike and Zach the ole horseshoe. Randy has been really busy this year and hasn’t been able to hunt like he has wanted. Last year he found a ton of artifacts but in his own words, nothing monumental. This day would be different! Come along and see yet another incredible point recovered and see ole horseshoe finally find a bucket list item. Plus we found a dozen other great points and as we always try to do, we have an amazing nature moment for you.

Wow! What a point! I love that red tip. I’ve found a few with red tips myself and can’t help but think that’s intentional. It’s where artistry and functionality meet.
Thanks Ben! The red tips are a result of uneven heat treating. Whether they left the tip intentionally or not is a good question. Its very possible. They certainly were creative people.
I sure didn’t know that. My points are quartz. Would they have heat treated that as well?
@@HistoryHoundDetecting I'm not sure about quartz. They heat treated certain charts to make it easier to flake.

Awesome job guys! I started arrow head hunting about a month ago have t found anything yet. I’m still learning a lot about areas to hunt. I’m in CT any advice would be appreciated. I have been searching the wepawaug River it has lots of gravel bars through out. There was Native American activity in the area but I’m still not sure if I’m in the right spot.
We use a formula when trying to find a new site. Water + high level ground just out of the flood plain = the possibility of artifacts. This isn’t a fool proof formula but it’s a good place to start. Good luck!

I wish I could get my husband involved doing this! How did you guys get excited about it? I could spend my days outside hunting herbs and mushrooms and artifacts, rocks, gems. I just can't figure out how to get my husband interested. This is the second video of your I've watched and I love the whooping and hollering and the appreciation and gratefulness. That's a good question. It depends on where we're digging. On this site which is owned by one of the PBR guys we don't because he doesn't want to fill them in. On our Louisiana sites we do fill them in.

What is the B.P. in the date system you are using?? If its Before Present, why confuse folks that are used to B.C/A.D. as well as non believers prefer, to use Common Era. Very nice finds.

After we realized we could find them there it opened up all kinds of possibilities for us. I wish we had the internet when we were just starting out many years ago.
