- This was an awesome arrowhead hunt that almost didn’t happen. We had hunted in the rain before but nothing like this. After some deliberation we made the decision to go ahead with the hunt but plan for it and we did. Like we say, “you can’t find them if you don’t go”. So Randy gathered up some tarps, Matthew brought a pop up tent and some elk sausage and a little grill and we had one heck of a day. This is one of the nastiest days we’ve ever spent in the woods hunting for arrowheads but the artifacts we found and the fellowship made it all worth while.

Those moments are not exchanged for anything friends. The passion for arrowheads makes you do beautiful follies. I've gotten lost twice looking for arrowheads but only for a couple of hours. We always try to be prepared in case we ever get lost. In the desert it is easy for you to get disoriented, there are vipers and poisonous animals but still they are great adventures. In the end the reward of having found the desired treasure. Greetings to my friends from that great team..

Seems like that rain was making those points come out of the wood work! Tons of different types once again! I really like the color on that Bakers creek, but I gotta say that tiny dart point was my favorite. I just love the super well made little ones! Great hunt guys! Thanks Ben. We were keeping track of how far away the lightning was. There was only one strike under 10 miles away. Of course I don't know where we would have gone had it gotten any closer. We were a long way from the trucks!

physically i cant but would love to. i cant carry or lift a 2 ltr coke. last summer i went metal detecting and was able to dig 3 small holes and almost couldnt make it back to the truck afterwards. i have severe RA and fibromyalgia and gout and deteriating disk disease.....

Nice finds y'all. How do you identify pottery? We've been finding some artifacts on our property but I'm not sure what pottery looks like.
Thanks! Pottery will have a slight curve to it and be around 1/4 inch thick.
How do you get so good at identifying points I have a book but still can't figure it out
Mike identifies ours for us. Typing points can be tough at times because some of it is so subjective.
