The lyrics "i took my time, i hurried up, the choice was mine, i didnt think enough" was a response to nirvana's song: come as you are with lyrics "take your time, hurry up, the choice is yours, dont be late"

That line speaks alot to me. And not as a nirvana reference more in the sense ask anybody who has lived through a suicide they acted irrationally and didn't think enough. It makes sense in that whole context in the build up and moments before suicide and what you need to do to kill yourself. If this is an accident then that's cool.
One song by blink that really gets. This song is my life. And I've lived this song. Now it brings me to tears.

Thanks for sharing. Music has great power to speak to us and helps to know that others have shared your pain and hopefully it helps a lot of people going through something similar.

This was actually the song directly before “all the small things” on the 1999 album Enema of the State. It’s written from the perspective of a teenager thinking of what to write in his suicide note and then ultimately deciding not to go through with it. Brilliant song.

Favorite song by my favorite band. Song holds such a special meaning to me as someone with depression and anxiety and have struggled with my thoughts in the past. In a way kind of helped keep me afloat. "Tomorrow holds such better days". Thanks for the reaction.

A bit late to the party here but the song was actually inspired by a suicide letter band member (and main song writer) Mark Hoppus read from a teen in a magazine. All the band members gave perspectives and individual parts of the song, but it’s a tribute to ‘Adam’ the teen who committed suicide.

If you think this sounds like a band breaking up song you should hear "Stay together for the kids" from them.I should say not a band breakup, but it is about another type of breaking up.

Mark felt lonely after touring for almost a year and not having anyone to come back home to. He read a teenager's suicide note in a magazine and that made him write this song.

We’ve had a slow couple of weeks recording for various reasons but we’re planning to record this weekend and there’s a Dave track on the to do list.

I died alone. Now I'm just another statistic. You all moved on with your lives. It's easier to forget. Mom still blames herself.

Blink 182 are still together. And made an ablum 9 in 2019 then last year Mark got cancer. But if you want to react to a song from blink 9 then I would recommend remember to forget me. Isn't a bad song on the ablum. And in a werid twist the singles were the worst songs they released.

    • @MarriedtotheMusic2010

Thanks, for some reason I though they’d split up because they weren’t getting on. I know they’d started other bands as well so just maybe assumed they weren’t together. So thanks for correcting me, we’ll add that song to our requests. Cheers.
