I was in a slump before after having multiple miscarriages and what ended up keeping me alive was I finally thought "What if all I have to do is hang in there and I finally get to feel the happiness that I always wanted" the thought of missing moment turned out to be more depressing than how I was feeling. Because I pulled myself out of it I've never allowed myself to get that down again, I can recognize it coming and avoid it. And my moment came I have a beautiful 4 year son.
In 2015 I became very ill, ended up passing out at work and almost fell into a machine. I was pulled out by later died twice at the hospital. After that experience and having to struggle for the next few years I finally found happiness too. Oftentimes life is just a test of our perseverance. I'm happy that you stuck in there and had your boy!
@@bradleywood1984 Died twice at the hospital? So I'm guessing it was a heart attack? I'm glad you were at the hospital when it happened. My father had 2 attacks himself (died twice too) at Ford Motor Company luckily the nurse at the plant was phenomenal and kept him alive. I'm sorry you went through that and I've watched the recovery first hand it's rough. I'm glad you're doing well and got through it all ❤️ and thank you about my son! He's awesome!! God Bless ❤️
When I was young like 12 till I was 30 I had really bad suicidal depression. My first attempt I listened to this song on repeat like 20 times before I did it. 3 weeks later after the hospital and everything I listened to this again and really heard the hope at the end of the song!
A teenager named Adam who was a massive fan of blink 182 commited suicide, andMark Hoppus also had a depression for a few years, thats why they made this song and it hits me every time. But they are picking the music back up now and doing a tour. I've been to their concert this weekend and the music was fantastic. Also nice video!
This is not true (true blink 182 fan right here) Mark (the bass player/singer) felt depressed while on tour at this this time, all the others members had girlfriends and he felt alone at this particular moment so he wrote this song about how he felt during this time back then

The more you listen the more you understand what someone or a group is going through. You're advise to travel offer is spot on yet such an inconceivable perspective to so many. With the 10s culture that permeates through today's society, it literally hurts how much is lost. Personally I've seen so much through my travels and up/downs in life it changes you.

I kissed my kids goodnight, told my wife I loved her. Went into the garage and tied a noose. Slipped it over my head and felt it start to tighten. I broke down in tears and got down. This song is about coming so close to killing yourself, but not doing it. Then, looking forward to the possibility of happier days.
If You have a wife and kids You have a really Big respondability that You can not just left behind, keep living a great life because You already have a meaning for live and this is your family.
LOL when he said "damn this is kind of sad" I said wow hes never heard this before .... the end of the song is redeeming and supposed to be uplifting that he made it through "tour" aka sad times and looks forward to life.
