Thanks man , I have it from 3 months, and its Super Powerful and at the same time Super efficient , excellent work about Tesla
We see Kempower here in Spain too. Good one, Bjorn!
A range test with the new Model 3 LR RWD would also be interesting. I think this should also get to 600 - 700km for less than half the price of this Model S.
There is no new 3 LR RWD to order?!
Happy to provide one for testing purposes in Berlin. It even came with more efficient Michelin E Primacy tires instead of Michelin Pilot Sport 5
@@wojtekkaras There is, but only in Inventory or for business customers
Thanks for the demonstration Bjorn, I have a 2022 MSLR with 19" wheels and can attest to its efficiency as compared to my previous two MS's (2012 MS85, and 2015 MS85D).
Great video as always. You provide very valuable data.
442.5 miles. Very impressive. That thing is a beast.
The 19 inch version has an estimated wltp of 723 km.
Such an awesome Car!
Great video 🙂
Awesame range🎉
Very good fuel efficiency given the weight of the car and the size of the wheels. I drove 240km in my 40kWh Leaf yesterday. Half Autobahn, half B roads. Autobahn never faster than 100. My consumption was just under 12kWh. With 16" wheels. 😅
12 kWh per what?
@@Mats.Fagerberg per 100km.
@@akaye7333 205🤣🤣🤣
I just shelled out for some Hankook Ions. Many are reporting a ~10% efficiency boost with them. 800km possible? 😁
Range anxiety is soon to be ded. Also: really great choice of music!
Bjorn, is the phantom braking problem better in the Model S refresh. Not sure whether this car has with the new cameras and HW4? The problem got much worse when Tesla disabled the radar in my 2021 TM3 LR. I read that the refresh Modes S MAY have radar installed, but it may not be turned on. Thinking of upgrading to new Model S LR, MAYBE 🙂
Potentially 347 MILES! Nice.
nice
How long it took? 9h30mins or less?
Hi Bjorn, do you know which company in Norway can a tourist rent a Tesla Model S Palladium Long Range for about 3 weeks?
Marcusbil rental partner doesnt have this model for rent.
"Except for Leaf lol". Hahaha
Hey Björn Very Nice views you should consider more Road trips again and a corporation with Visit Norway i think it could bring you good new Topics they should you give a titel like „Ambassador“ 😎 they would gain also super good videos to show nice places in Norway on e personally way.
And some views out of the side windows, too! That would be amazing! Visiting Norway is a must next year! Maybe there are reasons why my sister and a niece have settled in Norway...
I would like to see the exact same thing, same tires, same tire pressure, with the S plaid
Maybe having more kw, Plaid it would be energizer than the LR
Hi can you tell what was the avg speed during the whole trip?
712km for around 10.5 hours should be around 68km/h. I believe this is with all the stops too.
@w0nd3rlu573r interesting! I Saw during the video that the speed was 80 kmh for long periods. To most circumstances the speed in a long trip will be 100-120 (not avg) , I wonder how less the results will be with those speeds.
I like how he does the only fans joke every time and enjoys himself over it. 🤣
For tesla pictures on onlyfans everybody here would pay 😂
What if you have your chargerbox installed on the right side of your garage? Like I have.
It's hard to get out of the car, just like he says :P
Is your driver's door also on the right side of the car?
@@bjornnyland No, its a shared grave, my wall is on the left side.
❤❤❤
Do the same with the equivalent Model X. Long time we don’t get Model X videos, doesn’t Marcus buy MX?
Bet you could do this in a Model 3 75kWh under same conditions, same speed!
yea but you need the RWD LR M3 2023
Bjorn you said u have OnlyFans? Give us the link!!
That "zooming back in" is a new bug (I don't call it a feature) which started two firmware releases ago (in my car at least) and I FFFF HATE IT !!!! Shoot that developer. Bring back the old behaviour !!
Yes the new behaviour is super annoying. Same in my Model3. Hope they change it back.
80km/h Nobody drive that slow in central EU :D
Yeah. In Poland is 100-120 on 90 limit.
Welcome to Norway.
Hence you get amazing range. In Hungary you go 100 on 90 limit and 140 on 130highway easily, but ppl go 150-160on highways beacuse police gives a shit
You can get bored to death driving 80. Is even slower than trucks.
Who needs 1000 HP then.
@@bjornnyland I want to visit TBH :P
Wau
Bjorns OF feed a bunch of cars driving around.
For people complains about range
0-60 miles an hour 3.1 seconds as reported on Tesla's sale page, not 3.2. Great videos thank you.
60 mph != 100 km/h
Why is it so hard for Tesla's computer to create appropriate car miniature based on what the camera see?
I think because they don’t have a camera on front bumper which is need for birds eye view
cause they missing the front bumper camera, and the left and right down facing camera inside the mirror
When these numbers can be achieved at a higher average speed (let’s say, 130 km/h or 140 km/h) it will be game over for all the other cars (ICE or EV)
But: who needs 700 km highway range? I don’t know about other countries but the average German drives 30-40 km per day. Up to this date I don’t understand why everyone focuses on range. My M2 is empty after 250 km when I send it. 120 km on a Race Track. But who cares?
@@Beamer_i4_M50 Look, who needs ICE cars with 1000 kms of range? Imagine buying a ICE car with only 200 kms of range? Range is important and If you can get better range in EV cars, you don’t need to be worried about charging stops, waiting to charge, working chargers and so on. So yes, it’s important that EV cars can get proper range at higher speeds.
@@rogeriogomesosorio4755Do you really do ~12h, 1000km trips in ICE cars without ever stopping? No, right? So what's wrong with the idea of doing a ~15min stop every 2-3h to charge it up alongside your p-break or food break? If the car is registered and communicates with the charger on it's own, it takes 10-15s to go out of the car and plug it in, likewise on the way back - 10-15s to put the plug back on charger. Then it charges during your break - this way you don't have to have all that power in overscaled battery, but replenish it en-route. For safe driving you need these stops every 2-3h anyway.
@@loonatic90i have a Plaid. You are full of it. I did a road trip with my old model 3 lr Oslo - Stockholm. I could have easily driven that stretch with 0 stops, but needed to charge 3 times. Even a pee break and food is 5 min max. Charing alone took an extra hour. Give me 1k km real world range please. This includes highway/winter. Then ICE has no benefits.
@@rogeriogomesosorio4755That is not a thing because it is simply impractical to go to the gas station 2-3 times a week.
A problem, that prominently does not exist with EVs
Tesla 💘
Did you try something with the video? The video of the dashcam is very flickery and a little annoying to watch. Especially straight lines like the poles or letters on signs are constantly changing appearance.
Nope. This is common for Teslas.
When are aw going to have Waze in Tesla… 😢
40km longer than BMW I4 with same front area and weight
With much bigger battery and higher temperature outside
@@sergeikulichkov7748 BMW I4 have 81kWh
@@ulyden1947 Single motor? Tesla does that with some entry level Model 3s to improve efficiency as well.
Extra motors in most configs demand a bit of an efficiency tax, so it's impressive that Tesla can still lead in efficiency in dual/triple motor configs vs single motor competition.
@@AllanSustainabilityFan Most car makers turn off motors when not needed. So basicly you save weight and rolling resistance. Point was I4 has same front area and same weight as the Model S. Model S is 20cm longer.
EQS 580 4 matic went over 800km with 4 wheel drive but a lot heavier
@@ulyden1947 Tesla is well aware of how to run motors efficiently, this is not the issue.
EQS is heavy because Mercedes is forced to use a larger pack to make up in deficiencies in other areas, a massive 120kwh, 20 percent more than Tesla's Model S, so it's not just dumping a motor that got Mercedes there.
To their credit they got a pretty aerodynamic body, so that helps a bit too.
I personally ask my self why I would need this range. I drive around 2000 km per month. Mostly never more than 200 km per day. I have no need for range > 500 km.
I never bought an ICE car based on its range. And I didn’t buy my BEV based on the range. Everyone is focusing on the range. I just focus on the car itself. And if you do this there is no reason to buy a Tesla.
I have the Plaid. Would love twice the range. 1k real world km in winter and you have enough range. My daily driving is 5km (to and from work), but I also drive to my and friends cabin. Plaid range in winter will not get me to and from my gf parents house in winter which is only 3.5 hours each way.
If only you could test the Xpeng G9
❤❤❤
