Nightwing is an intellectual on the same level as Batman. A lot of people forget that, but the YJ writers didn’t. Tim Drake and Barbara Gordon are usually portrayed as the smartest members of the Bat-Family, but even Jason Todd was a genius if not a little violent and erratic. They’re all brilliant individuals.
Out of all the DC Universe cartoons and movies I’ve seen, Young Justice is the only one that accurately highlights Nightwing’s mental and physical capabilities.
I have always placed nightwing below the golden standard of the batman family intellectuals (meaning he is still a genius), in my opinion he is the most well rounded with the + of being the one with the most heart of all of them.

Tims like a ten in intelligence but a 8 everywhere else
Jasons like 10 in combat skills but an 8 everywhere else
Damien has a 10 in training but his age puts him at a 8 everywhere else
Dick is a 9 everwhere and unlike his brothers espically as Nightwing. AGE and experience have tempered him into heir to the cowel. Batmans greatest success

this was genuinely my favourite episode in a long time. There are a few from the original series, plus one or two from the second season, that I would say are better, but this was the first time I got to feel the teamwork of the actuall team in a long time

It was mentioned in one I believe, it was his birthday and zee and rocket shoiluld up at the cave to see him. Zee kissed him with rocket kissed his cheek and it was revealed he somehow still has a good relationship with all of his ex's it seems. He is also a dog as wally put it

In less than 5 minutes Nightwing broke down the entire plot of season 4. Also when did he date Raquel?
In the yj comics they show his 19 year old birthday on wich Zatanna kisses him and implies that he dated Rocket so somewhere between season 1 and 2.

No, she was genuinely talking about the Monarchs in that scene. This happened right after they talked with Superman who refused to tell them who the Legion was, and beforehand he had mentioned the game and said he was rooting for the Knights, so Zatanna wanted the Monarchs to win because she was upset that Superman didn't tell them anything.

@Will N first off, I'm not a casual viewer. I'll be the first to admit I'm not the biggest authority on comics but I'm far from a casual viewer.
But you don't need read any comics to watch the show. And yes, while YJ takes place on Earth-16, doesn't automatically mean that a conversation had on a different Earth holds true on this one.
Finally, if you wanted me to get that you meant Conner and not Eradicator, then say Red S. Conner, even in his leather getup seen in most iterations of the character outside the show, has a Red S. Eradicator is the only one with the Black S, excluding Superman on rare occasions (ie having been dead and been revived and wearing his black suit to better absorb the sunlight).

There are a lot of reasons why I love this show, but my favorite is when Dick perfectly guesses the overarching b-plot of the season and Artemis calls him crazy.
Batman trained him well.
To be fair to Artemis, a lot of things that Dick would have to consider are INSANE leaps of logic for people who probably didn't know what was going on in the background.
Lucky for them, Bruce has been teaching Dick to pay VERY close attention to the background.

He was trained by the World’s Greatest Detective. In the comics, he was able to solve the scene of a crime from a mere glance at the area. That’s how quickly and efficiently his mind works. He’s also stealthy enough to sneak around both Batman and Superman without either noticing.

wouldn't work, if a speedster run without their suit they would be a naked running ball of fire.
the suits are made to not burn up on the kinetic energy, they can move fast in normal clothes but not with their normall high speed, the cam would probably catch them in frame by frame
Honestly in the last episode when Zatanna said she needed a detective, i was expecting Batman but i suppose Nightwing did learn from the master, so he is bound to know a thing or two

I love how when the subject of Connor being alive is brought up, Aqualad is immediately all-hands-on-deck and determined to make sure they get Connor back. No hesitation or doubt, just straight to the point and focused on whatever needs to be done. That's how I hope I would act in such a situation, no room or time to doubt, just pure focus on what needs to be done to get my friend/loved one back home safe and sound.
It also show the trust he had with the team, no hesitations or doubt he just trust them 100% to be telling the truth because he knows the team and their capability.
Considering how right most of the time Nightwing is, that probably also helped in the convincing

It’s great to see Zee working with Nightwing throughout his arc. Ever since I saw their first interactions with each other, I had the feeling that they would have made a great couple. And personally I wish the show kept it that way because it’s pretty sad that they had amazing romantic moments and then season 2 breaks them up.

@Serenity No, maybe we didn’t see them as a couple, but there are a few hints here and there that they used to be a couple. These hints include Dick saying they have a history in season 2 and when Artemis says Zatanna along with Rocket dated him. If I were to write the show, I would want to have a gradual build up to Zatanna and Dick’s relationship.

That was a great sequence. Everybody myself included loves the OG team. I like the latter members as well especially Bart and Eduardo as well as Wonder girl.. Tim, Orphan, Stephanie, Barbara all good characters.

Tim Drake is suppose to be a better detective than all the other Robins. Given time he will a better detective than Batman. However if something should happen to Batman, Dick/Nightwing is a overall better replacement Batman.
All of them are detectives in the bat family individually they can solve almost any mystery it just boils down to how fast they can solve it

Dick- he's the most Agile out of the robins even batman being able to make impossible jumps look easy and yes since he's the first robin he learned a lot from Bruce
Jason- he's ruthlessness and being able to utilize fear better then Bats as he's able to cross the line and not lose himself
Tim- is the smartest out of the robins and he may even reach or surpass batmans superior intelligence
Damian -he's a better fighter because I mean he's been trained since birth to be a killing machine
@@siyasithole7995 I agree with you. All of the bat children and former children (Dick, Tim, Cass, Jason, Damian, Steph) are all detectives. There isn’t a single bat family member who isn’t a detective, or doesn’t have tech skills, etc. People have these weird mischaracterizations of the bat family due to bad word of mouth.
Also, Bat Girl/Oracle has better skills in hacking and computer programming.

They rescued Superboy and the 4 of them are brothers to the end… they started this team and now it’s time to rescue Conner again… bring it back full circle 💯

That's main thing I missed and love in beginning of young justice, they were a team or squad working together getting pass their differences.
Then they started adding all these characters it's hard to keep track or get full character development when their switching off to so many characters.
If they want to develop other heroes that's cool but keep as a core team for atleast season so they can learn and mesh together
It's what made 1st couple of seasons of Justice league and beginning of young justice 1st/2nd season so nice, they kept a core team. So we can see their differences, arguments and them slowly becoming a fold plus easier to focus on.
Cant help but wish Wally was there with them. Bring him back already!
Wally will always be remembered. If they do bring him back it needs to be meaningful.

I'm a little disappointed that M'gann, BB, and Superman weren't informed that Connor was alive once they realized that he was in the Phantom Zone. Hopefully that's next episode. And they are definitely gonna need M'gann to fix Connor's broken mind, again. And they'll need her to deal with M'gann's brother, should they meet up with Lor Zod's group. And they are aware that a Martian was with the "future Kryptonian." It says so on Dick's posted notes.
*@Trevor Sreya ~* Not including M'gann M'orzz (Miss Martian) during this episode was probably the correct choice. Up until it had been independently confirmed by Klarion the Witch Boy, the [YJ season 01] Team only had speculation (albeit reasonable and solid) that Conner Kent (Superboy II) was alive and trapped in The Phantom Zone (PHZ); so the [YJ s01] Team did not want to give in to False Hope.
Likewise, if their efforts to rescue Conner from the PHZ fail(ed), it would effectively be losing Conner all over again, perhaps worse. Such a (re-)trauma could potentially break M'gann permanently. *;(*
But now that they have definitive confirmation of Conner's predicament, and a course of action, it is likely the [YJ s01] Team will fully re-assemble (meaning looping M'gann in). We will see. *:)*
@@pendrake40 Technically Klarion only confirmed that there were "whiny Kryptonians" in the phantom zone. They already knew this from Rocket's team who confirmed the phantom zone was used as an extra-dimmension prison for Kryptonians.
Kinda pissed m’gann and gar have yet to be filled in on Connor being alive. It makes me think writers may either leave superboy in the phantom zone or he’ll switch sides due to his mind messing with his memories from what’s real and fake
@@trevorsreya8277 They're correct in not telling M'gann. What if they're wrong? A lot of this was Dick rationalizing. What if they get M'gann's hopes up, M'gann who has been grieving for months, only for it not to be true? The worst thing you can do is give someone false hope. And considering how unstable BB has been they definitely shouldn't tell him, he's only just started healing

I know this isn't really the main thing but why did DIck's eye color change over the seasons. Like it was different shades of blue in the previous three and now its grey.
They started wearing contacts that serve as communication and a hud while on mission. I’m not sure if it was grey in season 3 but that could be why

@@mahamnaseer180 I’m really curious about this now and have another theory. I think they were grey in the Haley’s circus episode in season one as part of the Dan danger persona. I think they’re grey now because he was just undercover as Dan
@@tolkienblack if this is the case then we can see it in the upcoming episodes. Though haley already knows dicks identity. In season 1 he figured it out even with the mask on.
@@mahamnaseer180 yeah because he was basically family but they did have to pretend the whole team was siblings for the rest of the circus people so they may have worn the contacts to sell that.
And the crazy thing is Nightwing isn't even the second best detective, that's Tim Drake , yet he's still this good
