After watching a Tanner deconstruct a Chanel wallet my dream of owning a Chanel fizzled immediately. I have seen an influx of Chanel in the preloved market and my view point on this is that owners finally realized that their bags aren’t as valuable anymore as they thought it would be in the future so they’re selling their bags before the Chanel market goes cold. I personally wouldn’t buy a Chanel anymore after what I know and this video just helped solidified my decision. I love this rant 😁.
Very perceptive, this is the same marketing Rolex use. In reality, Only unused rare second hand items hold any value. entry level vintage items do NOT. it’s a lie/myth created by the marketing team of the house. Some people are just gullible
It's official: people are buying these bags (ESPECIALLY classic flaps new from the boutique) for the logo/clout ONLY. Because it can't be for the quality, it can't be for the imaginative designs, it can't be for anything other than "look at me I spent $10k on this boring shitty black purse" FULL STOP. 😡
My two fave brands are Delvaux (Est. 1829) and Mark Cross (Est. 1865) because their craftsmanship is impeccable and I could find great vintage deals. If I wanted to spend $2k - 3k on bags, Joseph Duclos and Loewe would get my money. JD has my perfect blend of heritage + exclusivity + quality. Loewe is whimsical + innovative. Chanel fell off the radar when they stopped the 24k gold plating and they have tripled the price ever since.
Why compare Hermes and Chanel they are absolutely different. If you shop with Chanel you pay money and get the bag you want at anytime, for $4k, $9K... Can you buy Birkin at store for $13K, $15K, $17... ? With Hermes you play stupid game, spend double if not more on bag buying home goods and other things you don't need to receive an offer on a bag unwanted size and color, at the end you pay $25K + and consider your self lucky, it's silly. Also Hermes pre-owned bags are available as same as Chanel bags.
I purchased a black 2.55 with brushed gold hardware yesterday in the 225 (small) size. Today, one day later, the price, including tax, was $1600 more than I paid yesterday. I paid a ridiculous amount of money for this bag yesterday, but it was a considered purchase, and I love the bag and believe this is a "forever" bag for me. My Chanel SA, who is a darling, texted me with the price increase amount today, and my jaw dropped. I honestly can't say I would have made the purchase at the new price. I think I will love the 2.55, but I also think I'm done. Every one has their limit and I have definitely reached mine with Chanel!
You had me at machine made bags. I still love chanel and always will. And I can’t say I will never buy again, but I can’t stomach the prices for a machine made bag. 🤦🏽♀️
haha this was so epic Jess! 🎉loved it! you know for all the flak that Hermes gets, they at least have integrity. I once dropped and damaged my CDC ring and when H could not fix it, they gave me a credit note for - get this - today’s value (not the lower price that I bought it at years ago) so I could get a replacement ring of the same value. If that isn’t customer service I don’t know what is. A luxury brand must stand behind its products, always.
Hi Jess, thanks for the input. I think the luxury experience is different for everyone. Sure, hermes bags are handmade and much better quality. However, they are mostly quota bags. In Australia, you would need to spend twice the price tag of a birkin to actually get a birkin, which is insane. Even in preloved market, they are at least 30% marked up. I personally appreciate being able to go into Chanel store and get a classic flap without paying twice the price tag, or butter up my SA (who is supposed to serve me). I had several Chanel bags and one mosaic bag. The mosaic bag started to have some white dots on them after just using it a few times. I then brought it back to hermes to sent back to Paris for repair, which cost me $485 and a wait of 8 months.
Well said. Recently I sent my caviar double flap medium to Fashionphile, they politely returned it, with saying “we have many in stocks” you have a point here
Thanks for this great video Jessie! I only have my three vintage Chanel and I stopped there. I dont even look at them anymore. I dont understand influencers who still buy and push Chanel to viewers. And love the new background display. ☺️ 🍉
🍉 I think they want only the top 1-5% as their clients and those folks will pay and not bat an eye. The game seems clear. They don't want or need us. It's gross but seems to be by design.
I love my vintage Chanel bags & clothing with that being said there’s no way I’d purchase a current style. #1 the prices are obnoxiously insane #2 just by looking at the new styles you can tell the quality isn’t the same.
I never see bags as investments, they’re to be used & enjoyed. When I “pop my clogs” I have no children whomever has to clear out my home can deal with my bags, I’m living my life with my bags. I only have 3 Chanel bags, 1 med CF blk, 1 C19 pink & a Trendy in beige all with GHW. Ripped a small hole in the Trendy, it was @ my best friend’s, daughter’s wedding in a country wool shed, every time I look @ the bag I remember the wedding day & how pretty the bride was. I don’t care about the hole, I only discovered it 2 weeks ago & the wedding was last December. LOL 🍒🍎🍉🥑🥝🍐🍓🍊🍋🍉🍉🍉🍉
I love that you’re using your bags. To me, that’s what they’re for. I got a pen scribble on a turquoise chanel beg and I’m considering having my family sign it all over. It’ll be fun to use. Cheers!
Jess this is such a based take on the brand- thank you for making this cohesive video. You make it much easier for bag lovers to be able to discern where to put our money and your take is validating the consumer’s concern over the quality decline at the maison. I’m glad I sold my black jumbo classic double flap when I did because it feels inauthentic for me to wear a house that doesn’t give a crap about it’s clients. The bag has to be worth the price point and quite simply, you listed so many reasons why they’re not. Appreciate you!!!
I stopped buying Chanel since Jan 2022. I was lucky to get the classic mini square before they stopped shipping out of state. I don't have a lot of Chanel bags and the ones I own represent different milestones in my life. Chanel has always been special to me. However, with the on-going price increase, it doesn't seem appealing to me anymore. I know they have to make profit and are trying to make their bags more exclusive, but the quality worsened and I don't like how their bags now cost as much as a down payment for something. To me luxury bags are a treat and not a necessity. Most people's salary aren't increasing at the rate tof these price increases, so if their classic bags now costs $10k or more, I rather spend that money on a luxurious vacation or a down payment for a nice car.
Your 100% right jesse and i STILL see people all over the internet claiming it's 100% worth it bc they are "handmade" extremely high quality leather bags etc. Every single time i see someone comment that i think to myself, you obviously don't have a chanel bag/or you haven't bought one in a very long time. That, or they simply don't know great quality vs bad. Ppl will legit argue with you on whether they're handmade or not. I always tell them to do thier own research because they are absolutely not handmade bags. The whole 22 bag drama makes me wonder if they are even leather at this point. Leather doesn't chip away like dacobs 22 did.
About dustbag, I just bought small CF in black lambskin and it came with classic dustbag that we always had (purchased in Luxembourg). As well lambskin leather that I managed to choose is REALLY the same quality as vintage, believe it or not, however I had in front of me medium and small, and medium was in completely different lambskin leather, it was thiner, softer, more matte, less black. I mean, sometimes they still make really good bags, but you need to hunt for them. By the way I have heard that actually Chanel owns the tannery that Hermes purchases their leathers from (not all of them, but the most popular), I cannot remember the name of the tannery though
Yeah I am done with Chanel too. So happy with my latest bag Dior Saddle! For the price on a decent shoulder bag, I can't even get a proper Chanel seasonal bag now 🫠 it's ok. Bye, Chanel
“STEP AWAY FROM THE CHANEL” ☠️ 😂 😂 PREAAAACH Jessi! I became disillusioned after having one of the unfortunate 22 Bags that showed “regular wear and tear” after ONE USE. I didn’t use the bag until a month after the return policy expired, so when I tried to take it in to be assessed, the boutique told me there was nothing that they can do. Since stopping, I have come to many of the conclusions you put forth in this video.
I have bought and sold many Chanel bags in the past 10 years….I refuse to even go in anymore. I’ve kept 8 but will be selling half of those. The thrill is gone!
I have never had a Chanel, actually it's all over the place that a couch bag is definitely higher quality and more rare than the classic chanel flaps. Great video Jess 👏
Great topic. Thanks for making this video . I felt like Chanel bags are just overpriced black bags with little gold toned hardware. . Good luck to people who bought these bags thinking they are investing from buying it.
That's why I have never purchased a Chanel classic flap. Everyone has one. It isn't unique or special. And, as you said, the price is outrageous now. They are creating the "shortage" and hype. All of my Chanel bags are seasonal, which makes it less likely that I will see them on another woman.
I love this rant Jess, I agree with everything you’ve said especially with the modern day Chanel’s.. the quality simply isn’t there to justify these crazy price increases.. I only have one Chanel bag, it’s the Chanel Medallion Tote in beiges colour, and I absolutely love it, it’s vintage, so you can really see that it’s superior compared to how they make they nowadays..and still looking as good as day 1 😍
As a sales associate I can say somethings you said are correct. Especially how people thing we are rude but it’s the other way. Clients coming with attitude, rudeness and anger all the time.
Because they’re targeting uber wealthy spoiled brats. That’s what you’re going to get. I was a flight attendant for many years. I call ” First Class” no class because even though these people have money they have no class.
That hits the spot 👍. I sold all my Chanel bags for three years ago. After I am free from Chanel. I am able to see and understand everything you just said. I think, if some one who are new to Chanel. They want to have it, feel it and own it. So it is difficult to see clear picture of this money scammer. Normal people like us have to work hard and harder just to give chanel our money. Sadly that they enjoy seeing we broke. People don’t see it until they let it go. I am glad, I don’t run for chanel.
Chanel had gone MAD!!!! Seriously MAD!!! You’re right Jess it’s just greed. I still love to look at the bags but I would never spend over $10,000 on a classic flap.
So many great points Jessie! I just feel bad for the people starting their collections now. One of my friends bought Chanel when prices were 1800-2000usd and at that time my kids were little so there was no way I could buy. She has a big collection but hasn’t bought anymore in the last 15 years. She can’t see herself buying when prices have gone up and quality it down. I started my collection in 2018 and thought I was sticker shocked then but now….no words. Great video 💞 🍉🍉 🍉
Yes, yes and yes! Agree on every point! Chanel bacame aggressive at this point. It’s truly disgusting! Hermes can play, cause they can give you the quality at least, and they know it well, service and after servise are also nice, you can even bring a vintage second hand Hermes bag or wallet etc, though it’s a stupid game, but whatever. But Chanel, oh, boy, no! Whith such an attitude, with such poor quality, no.Maybe only in a small community, but Chanel destroyed their reputation, and no more trust for them for sure.
I love your rant Jessie. It was very sad to see leolion TH-camr leave the bag community. I will definitely miss her. Why do you think they are leaving? I was thinking that it was perhaps a privacy issue, and how a lot of creators these days are choosing to value their luxury per say more (low-key). I think that this came with the issues stemming from the pandemic & all the political issues, plus the economic inflation perhaps makes it feel tone deaf slightly enjoying frivolous items (even though bag lovers are aloud to enjoy) but outsiders outside of the bag community make us feel bad for enjoying luxury, when even the middle class is struggling. That is a perspective that I can understand. I also agree though, we should be able to indulge in this community still, even if it's materialistic I see nothing wrong with enjoying art pieces. It's unfortunate that there will always been others that judge. Back in the 2016 era of TH-cam I remember when I wanted the Givenchy Antigona just because Carli Bybel had one.. I slightly miss those days when it felt so special to be able to save up for such a popular piece. Nowadays I want bags based on my preference, not so much because a certain influencer/celeb has it. Especially with the influx of how so many various fashion bloggers get new luxury bags every other day, and they are sent to them with discount codes/or free. It's taken away for me personally how special they once were. Like, take the Celine Nano for example. Everyone and their mothers on TH-cam enjoyed that bag, but unfortunately by the time I saved up for it the bag was no longer popular anymore. Same with the Alexander Wang Rockie bag. It's just so interesting how luxury bags hold value on mainly how influencers and celebs feel about them. Then on to the next new thing which is damn near impossible for people like me who love handbags, but unfortunately can't keep up with luxury bags becoming "trends". TH-cam kind of ruined luxury for me because some handbag lovers nit pick too many details on a bag. It made me want to sell a lot of mine in the past. It's like a impossible level of perfection that a lot us including the handbags can't obtain.
Thanks Jess for another great video. I think what you are also illustrating is that Chanel has almost become a starter brand and no longer a destination no longer a brand aspire to acquire because if no longer maintains the core principles of quality and luxury (quality, craftsmanship, and service including after service) it is now just a brand and only selling branding not quality. Your video just made me think that now consumers may make a stop at Chanel along their luxury fashion journey but it’s no long a destination. It’s the end of an era. I own some Chanel and will continue to hunt for quality vintage pieces. Thanks Jess! You’re the best!
Agree on all points!!! Excellent and thorough discussion. 👏 At this point it is greed gone ugly. I too grew up loooving Chanel fashion. The W’s have sucked the joy out of it. Hopefully enough customers will cotton on. Chanel is like a crooked casino, and the house always wins - if you agree to play.
Yes, Jess, go off, girl! 🙌🏼 The price increases are ridiculous and I’ve been turned off to the brand for about 2 years now. Like how is the WOC $3k+ usd now?! Anyway great video! 🍉
I agree with you and all the comments, I love this rant...I missed out on an opportunity to buy the chanel now I feel like its too much! Thanks for this video, as I dont know much about chanel more about LV so this is so much appreciated. I really enjoy listening to your views keep going with these type of video's, i still would maybe one day get something one day - lol maybe. I keep telling myself year of the house...stop buying bags...I will probably fail...but yessss Kate spade and coach, they seem just as good. so are you saying that these are not hand made.....ohhhhh I didnt realise this! wow. ok thankyou. Also hehehehehe "not that special" I love this honesty and view. The point about the packaging was also really interesting I did not know that either, I also dont love the LV bag and packaging but I really like the versace packaging. Again thankyou
Loved this video Jess! You know so much. I used to work for Chanel a long time ago and it’s changed so much. I’m a die-hard Louis Vuitton fan now! Hopefully LVMH will buy and revamp Chanel - maybe things would improve! ❤️🙏
Very much agree. I have almost zero interest in Chanel as a brand anymore. Classic flap is gorgeous, but it's basically the same thing every season, except lower quality. 🍉
Agree 300% Jess!! Hermes has its issues too… Don’t get me wrong but they certainly don’t seem to me at least, as Bat Sh** crazy with their greedy and blatant price increases…. Ughhh so disappointing because i used to loveee Chanel so much it’s hard… TYFS ❤ KIki
Fun video! I do not see the point in being upset with the Chanel price increases because these are all luxury goods, not necessities. We DO NOT need any of these things! I 💗 the Chanel brand and style! However, like many others, I have been priced out for sometime now. So, this new price increase has no impact on me whatsoever!
I agree. Is anyone affected by inflation? If bills and food are more expensive for us, isn't it also more expensive for a factory? Yes, they also profit from the name, but we're at a time people can't afford rent and taxes. If costs go up for us, production costs, like gas, must be insane currently. Yes, they do profit, but they are also covering rising expenses like the rest of the free world currently. Either way, if the economy continues in this way, who knows what the future holds?
Great points! I love your Fiorucci shirt! I was just checking out these fab light blue flare jeans with the two angels really big on the back of one pocket. So cute! They are still going strong and have many things I love! Including the bags- going to check those out instead of Chanel:-)
I adore your insightful honesty regarding the Chanel enterprise. It seems to be reaching a critical point that cannot sustain its reputation and value ♥
I bought my first Chanel vintage. I wouldn’t pay more than 2500 on Chanel. If it was Karl I can see it have a price increase. Vintage by Karl is awesome.
🍉 I stopped buying Chanel 3 years ago because of the price increase and also the change of designer. I was tempted a few times but I could not bring myself to because of the quality issues. I cannot justify to spend that much knowing the heart breaks it will bring (almost for sure).
🍉 I just can’t get over the Chanel prices 😢 I’m so glad I brought mine all pre to this… my Chanel vintage classic flap is beautiful, from the late 80’s the Year I was born! You’ll never beat that real gold hardware… Xxx
I heard from my friend who works as SA that chanel will no longer give commission to SAs from dept stores like saks, Bloomingdale etc. Really turned off by that and i am no longer interested in the brand
🍉 love your channel! I only have one classic flap, I finally saved up and bought it in May 2021 right before the huge increase. I feel lucky that I got one before it skyrocketed to 9k now it’s 11k USD as of today. It’s insane!!!! I wanted a second caviar bag in a color on my wishlist, but I had no idea that they cannot rehab their own colored bags. They have been so kind about my black bag, I live in New York City. I had no customer record and they let me buy the jumbo. I don’t know if it’s still like that, I have only purchased costume jewelry since then-it’s too bad the good era is over. I always grew up wanting to be a Chanel girly 😭 I watch your channel to educate myself about Hermès. I just got into TH-cam like six months ago, I’ve been asleep to the fact that luxury TH-cam exists 😂 I love you and Dacob. I have no idea how TH-cam works, so if you respond to this I will try to find it lol. Lots of love❤❤❤
Chanel is trying to become Hermes. Everything you said about Chanel fits for Hermes (except the handmade part and after sales.) they want to be more exclusive and only offer “quota” bags to certain clients. I’m not defending Chanel whatsoever. I think it’s insane. But they see Hermes does it and it works so they will do the same. And it will work because people will still buy and “play the game”. In the end they’re a business and their goal is to make money, just like all the other fashion houses. It’s up to the consumer to choose what’s worth their money and what’s not 🤷🏻♀️
I have a 20 year old Chanel bag in great condition but I am traveling at the end of the monthto a boutique in Orlando and I was thinking that theycould repaint the bag and coat the chain. Do you think is a waste of a trip and I should send it directly to a bag spa? And if. They take it how much you think they will charge me?
Jessie, I imagine Chanel arrogance is so supreme that the Wertheimer's would value their company at several times the value of LV or Dior on their own. They know Bernard would probably die for it! ❤🚀
This was a very well-reasoned video, full of good reasons why even in the luxury space where you are paying premiums, Chanel is kind of off the deep end. 🍉
I feel you man... i don't like chanel much but I've felt the fomo... however at these prices and quality I think i won't. And I think I'm ok with that.
Hm although price increases are never ideal, maybe thats the point? Like maybe the point is to make it more unattainable so it will withhold its place as a holy grail brand. Over the past decade Louis Vuitton have came out with bags that are basically the price of a Birkin now. And in general a lot of luxury brands have raised their prices by 20%-40%. The way the economy is going whether you are moving with it or not its just inevitable like it would not stop for you. When my dad was a teenager a bowl of noodles in china was less than 5 cents.
But ya.. not sure why their quality is so bad now like the other day I visited the boutique and the bags looked like they were made of cheap heavily coated leather ? Looked and felt like plastic.
Same!! Will always love the brand, I just wish they could stop being silly and improve the quality they once have. I adore my vintage pieces and prior 2019 bags
Excellent video! Great advice to those of us who are smart enough to realize what’s going on with the Chanel business. Plenty of people out there that are willing to just throw their money away.
I remember walking into CHANEL boutique at Bal Harbour shops back in 2008. Knew nothing about the brand. I saw a black medium classic flap and asked for the price. I always thought they were ugly, but was curious about the price point vs LV. It was about $2K…and I was like 🤯 for this little bag!? My my, how outrageous they’ve become.
I've never bought a channel bag. In all the years of collecting luxury handbag I've never bought a chanel bag. I don't see any of their bags that appeals to me style wise. The quilted look is not my jam. but the price increases is jaw dropping!!
It is definitely not a stylish choice. Chanel need some more creativity. How many ways, shapes and colors can you make a flap bag. They are all flapped out. Just about every bag they make has a flap on it. Thanks for this video. You have said what many people should be saying. I have been thinking about all the things you said for several years. While I have two preloved Chanels, neither are the overpriced flaps. I never got the hype on them. Multiple thumps up to you for speaking out.

Just like Hermes ! Hermes is way more boring IMO than Chanel.
So true!!

Great video! I’ve just bought a 1980s number that still looks great for a decent price. Surely the vintage market will boom further
Never seen you so fired up Jess. I totally agree with you.
Jessie, you had me pausing and rewinding when you said “Chanel is for pictures” because at first I thought you said “Chanel is for b*tches” 😮😂😅 🍉
HHAHAHA well I guess i'm not that fired up!! 😂
Forget Chanel!!! Never again …. I will buy Hermes
By the way I have heard that actually Chanel owns the tannery that Hermes purchases their leathers from (not all of them, but the most popular), I cannot remember the name of the tannery though
fascinating! perhaps they are making some bags in good quality leather? it is hard to know!
Totally agree with you Jess😊 I think I’m going too give myself a little break from buying this year from all labels🤷♀️
not a bad idea!
Yeah I am done with Chanel too. So happy with my latest bag Dior Saddle! For the price on a decent shoulder bag, I can't even get a proper Chanel seasonal bag now 🫠 it's ok. Bye, Chanel
yes Dior are better at aftersales and service as well usually!
@@Jessiestyle oh yes!! That too. We can bring back to clean anytime! Forget about doing this with Chanel
The thrill is gone!
i know how you feel!
I have never had a Chanel, actually it's all over the place that a couch bag is definitely higher quality and more rare than the classic chanel flaps. Great video Jess 👏
This is my favorite video of yours so far! I’m definitely buying pre-loved if I ever get a Chanel.
This video just convinced me more they they manufacturer their own replicas because thats how the replica dust bags look
I’m SO GLAD you’re telling the truth here. So many influencers feel like you, but are afraid to say what you’re saying. Thank you.
🍉 lol yeah I’m with you on this. Replicas are looking better and better 🤦🏽♀️
Great video 💞 🍉🍉 🍉
it's insane how much more reasonable the pricing was in the past 😆
Yes, yes and yes! Agree on every point! Chanel bacame aggressive at this point. It’s truly disgusting! Hermes can play, cause they can give you the quality at least, and they know it well, service and after servise are also nice, you can even bring a vintage second hand Hermes bag or wallet etc, though it’s a stupid game, but whatever. But Chanel, oh, boy, no! Whith such an attitude, with such poor quality, no.Maybe only in a small community, but Chanel destroyed their reputation, and no more trust for them for sure.
Jessie i love your hairstyle! Dont ever change it it looks so good
OOo! Thanks Sam
You’re the best!
aw thanks Myles!! Hunting for vintage is also fun!
🍉
I agree that the quality is not good enough for the price. Bvlgari etc is where it’s at.
Yes, Jess, go off, girl! 🙌🏼 The price increases are ridiculous and I’ve been turned off to the brand for about 2 years now. Like how is the WOC $3k+ usd now?! Anyway great video! 🍉
‘Step away from the Chanel’ 😂 i’m with you 100% great video Jessie
AHHAH yes... please step away!!!
wow!! thats awesome Jess!! I hardly hear anyone who has worked at CC voice there view on youtube! but yet times have changed
@@Jessiestyle thanks Jess! Yes so agreed ❤️❤️❤️
Watermelon slice !! I loved this
Very much agree.
I totally agree!
🍉 it's a bittersweet end of Chanel, said to see. And Jessie, you said everything correct and on point. Very nice composed video 👏
Great points! I love your Fiorucci shirt! I was just checking out these fab light blue flare jeans with the two angels really big on the back of one pocket. So cute! They are still going strong and have many things I love! Including the bags- going to check those out instead of Chanel:-)
It's understandable on the rant
Chanel is the zara for rich girls 😂😂
I adore your insightful honesty regarding the Chanel enterprise. It seems to be reaching a critical point that cannot sustain its reputation and value ♥
I bought my first Chanel vintage. I wouldn’t pay more than 2500 on Chanel. If it was Karl I can see it have a price increase. Vintage by Karl is awesome.
"It's not like a rare Pokemon card"
Right!?!?
🍉 I stopped buying Chanel 3 years ago because of the price increase and also the change of designer. I was tempted a few times but I could not bring myself to because of the quality issues. I cannot justify to spend that much knowing the heart breaks it will bring (almost for sure).
I only buy preloved not only because of the price but because of the quality!!!!!! It is better by far!
Wow. Jess you are on 🔥! Thanks for your views and input. I agree 🍉
Wow i really appreciate this video. All yours points all 100% valid. So tired of youtubers making the same video just for clicks & without substance!!
🍉 I just can’t get over the Chanel prices 😢 I’m so glad I brought mine all pre to this… my Chanel vintage classic flap is beautiful, from the late 80’s the Year I was born! You’ll never beat that real gold hardware… Xxx
🍉 Really enjoyed this video and all your arguments!
I heard from my friend who works as SA that chanel will no longer give commission to SAs from dept stores like saks, Bloomingdale etc. Really turned off by that and i am no longer interested in the brand
There will still people that will buy though! 😢
It's really sad. Thanks for your pointers! Totally make sense 👍
Aw Yael! Congrats on your bag 🥰 yes luxury TH-cam is a massive rabbit hole! I love it! 🥰🥰🥰 have a beautiful day
Chanel is trying to become Hermes. It’s up to the consumer to choose what’s worth their money and what’s not 🤷🏻♀️
I brought a classic black WOC SHW in August and so fair it’s perfect but crossing fingers. Thank you for your honesty. 🍉
I have a 20 year old Chanel bag in great condition but I am traveling at the end of the monthto a boutique in Orlando and I was thinking that theycould repaint the bag and coat the chain. Do you think is a waste of a trip and I should send it directly to a bag spa? And if. They take it how much you think they will charge me?
hard to say!! I have heard leather surgeons is pretty good!
Totally!
Go off Jess 👏🏽! Between the waiting lists and quality issues, I'll pass. Great skincare, but no way on the bags.
Totally agree with everything you've mentioned! I don't own any Chanel and don't plan on it for exactly these reasons
I am really sad about what has been happening in Chanel because I like everything in Chanel so much.
It is sad!
Same!! Will always love the brand, I just wish they could stop being silly and improve the quality they once have. I adore my vintage pieces and prior 2019 bags
100% agree. Great information. TFS😊
🍉 Thank you for the video/rant Jess! ❤💚
I’m done with Chanel as well. What I have is enough. Chanel made it easy for me to realize what I have is enough.
Thanks
still with you. i was wondering why you had jumped that chanel sinking ship. thanks for explainig. 🍉
Thanks for tuning in Archee!
Well done Jessie 👍
Excellent video! Great advice to those of us who are smart enough to realize what’s going on with the Chanel business. Plenty of people out there that are willing to just throw their money away.
Very true!
I’ll stick to my YSL and PRADA. Always get great service, reasonable prices, and their bags are hardy and long lasting.
I agree. They are being abusive to the customer at this point.. Greed Greed Greed
they really are!
Hahaha yes!!! 2k was a “bargain” 🤣
I've never bought a channel bag. In all the years of collecting luxury handbag I've never bought a chanel bag. I don't see any of their bags that appeals to me style wise. The quilted look is not my jam. but the price increases is jaw dropping!!
Absolutely
very good videos!!! learned something today.
Hello Jess, last week i was thinking of buying a coco handle. Do u know the new price for a mini and small? Owning a coco handle is my dream ❤
I don't know! Haven't seen yet!
LOUDER! 👏👏👏
🥰🥰🥰
I'm just here to say I like your haircut. 😍
We love a fired-up Jessie!
